Haruka's first appearance in my art book! I have made my return to regular character art :3
I suppose this is making up for her not being in the EPIC series, but rest assured I love all my beans equally. I just so happened to find this base on Pinterest when I was looking for cosplay outfit inspiration, and I just had to use it.
The arms and hands were probably the biggest part of trial and error, specifically getting her yukata sleeves to make sense and sit well instead of floating in space if that makes sense. It's my first time doing a full blown drawing of her since her OC book chapter so bear with me as I figure her out XD
Now, I have no idea if there's any violinists reading this chapter, but if you are please don't hate me if I drew this weird-violins are hard to draw even with bases, and I've never played it myself. Heck, even if I drew her playing piano or saxophone it probably would've been similar—playing and drawing instruments are too very different skills my friends. Very different skills indeed~
So in honor of this momentous occasion, here's a taisho secret about Haruka!
She learned violin as a kid, and while she gave it up for a bit when she became a demon slayer, she has since gotten back into it after reconnecting with her sister.
