The Spoiled Rebellion Reunion

First day of school arrived. Hyuka and Yeonjun got up extra early that day to watch the sunrise like they promised each other. Yeonjun couldnt wait until they were sitting under fall colors again.

The sunrise was blindingly beautiful as it hit the dew on the grass. The rays made the lake shimmer and the birds sang. It was serene and their only true moments of peace every day.

The boys looked at their watches and realized it was time to make their way over to the starbucks before school.

Yeonjun ordered an iced americano then ordered a strawberry lemonade refresher for Hyuka with no berries. The texture of the berries got weird to him. Wasnt exactly a pleasant thing to sip.

Before they left the coffee shop, the older asked "you ready to be mobbed?"

Hyuka chugged the last of his drink then threw it into the trash. "Yup."

The boys arrived at the school and could see their friends already waiting outside the doors for them. Hyuka stepped out and almost got tackled to the ground by his band. Yuna and Wonyoung told them to give him some space.

Jake clung onto him while the others backed away. "Dude youre back! Youre fucking back! When did you get taller? Holy shit!"

Vernon started silently comparing their heights which make Hyuka laugh. Even he admitted to growing at an unprecendented rate.

Seungmin said "you better not have plans tonight because the band is getting back together!"

"Times square?"

The band shouted together "TIMES SQUARE!"

Yuna pulled him away and said "quit hogging him! He's my friend too!" They started to hug.

Hyuka said "I missed you Yuna!" He saw Wonyoung behind her and went to hug her too. "I missed you too. I cant believe your mom let you go to school! Theyre talking about me growing? Youre almost as tall as me now!"

Wonyoung blushed. "I know it's freaky. Do I look bad?"

"Bad? No, you look like a model or an actress!"

Wonyoung realized he was still the same sweet boy as before. "Thank you Kai."

Jake dragged him away and looked at his schedule. They realized they had their first class together so the group split as school was about to start. Hyuka took one look behind him to see Yeonjun still surrounded a bunch of people. The older mouthed "help me" as they made eye contact.

Hyuka's laughter filled the halls as other people came up to him to talk. Jake never left his side. His best friend was back and he was going to let the school know it.

School was just as boring as Hyuka remembered it. He realized he did so much online work in the Dominican Republic, that he already covered every topic in the syllabus. Well, an easy year was better than a stressful one.

His advanced statistics class came and he realized the same thing. For the most part, these were all lessons he had already done.

Classes flew by and familiarity continued to come back. It got to the point where Hyuka was mapping out which classes he had to pay attention to and which classes he could do homework in.

One of his teachers pulled him aside to privately talk before lunch. "I saw the course work that you did in the Dominican Republic. It was on your transcript. You do have the option to move up another grade. You could graduate this year if you wanted. So could Yeonjun actually."

"Graduate this year?" He had never really thought about it before. It would be something to discuss with Taehyun. Yeonjun and his parents wouldnt care but he felt so bad Taehyun worked so hard to graduate with him, only for him to change that. "Can I think about it?"
