Our lighthouse

The couple took off with Kai into the night. Hyuka couldn't stop looking around at all the stars. The trees below him kept getting smaller and smaller. With a lot of joy, he begun loudly singing Dear Sputnik. Taehyun sang all of Yeonjun's parts.

It was like a music video. They were whipping through the air while singing their song togther. "With you we fly" became literal. They were each other's destiny. Their entire lives orbited around the person they were going to spend eternity with. They never wanted this feeling to stop and it wouldn't as long as they were together.

Kai softly landed on the rocks by the lake. Taehyun helped his boyfriend off. They stood by the water, listening to the waves crash against the cliff. He went to grab the big blanket and the lantern before he forgot. He turned the lantern on then set it to the side. Hyuka sat down with his legs dangling over the edge. Taehyun wrapped the blanket around both of them then rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder.

They sat in silence for a moment. Kai began circling the lake. To show off, the dragon spit a ring on fire on the surface. Steam rose as the ice on the surface vaporized. He kept doing it until there was a hole large enough to dive in.

Hyuka couldn't believe any of this was real. Taehyun couldn't keep his eyes off of his face. He admired the way the moonlight glowed against his skin. The fire from his dragon lit up his eyes. His wavy brown hair shined like amber.

Kai spiral upwards then made a sharp dive into the water. The surrounding ice cracked then rippled from the impact.

Hyuka saw the way Taehyun was looking at him. Those beautiful anime eyes shined. There was a slight flush of pink in his cheeks and nose as the wind hit his face. "I love you. I don't want to leave."

"What do you want to do for your 16th birthday? I want to make it special. Now that you know my secret, we can go literally anywhere you want to."

"I've been around the world baby. I just want to be with you."

Taehyun whined. His boyfriend couldn't make a decision to save his life. "Hyuka! This is serious!"

"But I was serious!"

"So if I gave you nothing at all, you would still be happy?"

Hyuka held his hand then kissed it. "You'd be with me so yes actually." He was rich. He grew up with everything he wanted in life. He meant it when he said Taehyun was all he needed.

The older was still unsatisfied with that answer. "You're being difficult!"

The younger thought it was adorable when his boyfriend got mad about dumb things. "I'd argue I'm making it easier for you. I just want you! Why is that so bad?"

"It isnt but-" Taehyun was searching for an excuse. He saw his boyfriend looking at him in amusement. He had to admit it was cute. "I'll think of something. It'll be special."

Hyuka kissed his cheek. "I'm sure it will be."

Kai rose out of the water with a mouthful of flopping fish. He chomped down. It rained fish guts. Blood stained the lake as the dragon kept chewing. It was quite the sight. He was so happy he shot some flames towards the stars.

The couple watched their dragon fly off into the clouds. He shot back down, like a bullet, back into the lake. The splash almost hit the cliff. Large bubbles were coming from the middle of the impact. Taehyun explained Kai was essentially boiling the water to kill the fish in the surrounding area. Hyuka saw a bunch of silver floating on the surface now. The dragon swam along and munched. It reminded the younger of pac-man.

Taehyun couldn't wait anymore. He pulled his boyfriend in to make out. They kissed until their lips got numb. He only had one more full day with his boyfriend so he was going to take advantage of it. He pulled back then giggled as he wiped his lips off with his sleeve. "We're not supposed to but do you want to climb to the top of that?" He pointed to the lighthouse.

"Let's go!"

Taehyun grabbed the blanket while Hyuka grabbed the lantern. They walked up towards the ladder. There was a sign chained to the front that said "keep off". They went under it and climbed to the top. Hyuka yelled that he was the king of the world. Taehyun bent over while laughing.

The older began to walk around while staring at the sky. He became dizzy. He saw a shooting star in the distance and wished for this feeling to never end.

Hyuka walked to the other side towards the field. Long grass blew gently in the breeze. There was a small house on the hill in the distance. He really hoped that house wasn't the owners of the lighthouse. They would be in so much trouble if it was. He stood on the railing and pretended to do that scene from titanic. Taehyun came over and picked him up by the waist. He set his boyfriend back down then told him to be more careful. Hyuka teased "for someone who owns a dragon, you're really afraid of danger."

"I was just worried about your safety!"

"Awe!" Taehyun got embarassed and started to walk away. Hyuka quickly grabbed his wrist. "Stay with me." He pulled his phone out and began to play some music. The phone went on the floor, over the blanket, and they started to slow dance under the stars.

Taehyun's arms were around loosely around his boyfriend's neck. "I'm really happy but why are we dancing now?"

"You have prom in a couple months right? I won't get to be there. This is our prom."

The older began to get sad. "Right... I won't get to go with you..."

Hyuka placed a kiss on his forehead then his nose then his lips. "Hey... Taehyunnie... I'm here with you now. Keep dancing with me."

They danced in a circle around the lighthouse. The younger kept sneaking in kisses. It was to remind his boyfriend that he wasn't going anywhere in the long term.

With a tint of hope in his voice, Taehyun asked "you really can't go with me?"

"No baby... your prom is around the time I have finals. The six classes I'm taking, will eat up all of my free time."

"I wish you didn't have to leave..."

"But then I'm coming back! We never have to be apart afterwards! I think that's the best birthday gift ever."

Taehyun finally smiled as he got twirled in the air by Hyuka. "I'm still getting you a gift."

"I'm sure I'll love it."

They held each other closely as they continued to dance. Nothing else needed to be said. This was the best dance either of them had ever been to. The music continued to be slow love songs. It was interrupted by Yeonjun calling to ask when they were coming back. They sighed. Hyuka told him soon.

Taehyun called Kai. The dragon stopped floating in the water and went to fetch his riders. Once they were securely on, they flew back.

Hyuka held his boyfriend tightly around his waist. He rested his chin on his shoulder then watched the stars race past his eyes.

When they landed, the couple realized how tired they were. Yeonjun welcomed them in and asked what they did. Taehyun went to wash up while Hyuka talked.

Yeonjun told them the baby threw up on him so he opted to just burn the soiled clothes. He then said it was a mistake because the stench was awful. The rest of the night, the trio talked about college life while watching a k-drama. Beomgyu and Soobin only went to bed about 20 minutes ago.

Taehyun and Hyuka switched. Yeonjun talked to the 16 year old. The younger asked for birthday ideas. Yeonjun said he couldn't go wrong with a stuffed animal or a hoodie. Anything that screamed comfort, Hyuka would love.

The younger came out shortly after in his cotton blue pajamas. He started to build a fort between the couch and the TV with the bedding he got from Beomgyu. He laid down on the floor and insisted on sleeping there for the night. Taehyun gave in and curled up next to him. Yeonjun took his spot on the couch. The older couple came into the living room to see the fort. Soobin turned around and grabbed their bedding out of their room.

Everyone slept in the fort that night. Taehyun was the last one to fall asleep. His last thought of the day was this was the family he had been looking for his entire life. As long as he had these 4 by his side, he wouldn't need anything else.
