Time with Beomgyu

Beomgyu whistled for Sara while Kai flopped over in the yard. He touched his belly and felt a low growling inside. "Jesus how much did you eat down there?"

Kai whined with a wide smile on his face. His bowels were killing him but it was so worth it. Lake fish don't get nearly the size of ocean ones. It was comparable to a foreigner seeing how big American portions are for the first time.

Hyuka rubbed the dragon's belly in an effort to make him feel better. It caused Kai to fall into a dream-like state. He ended up falling asleep with his tongue hanging out. "He's so cute."

"Ha. Yeah he is. Let's go before Soobin sets Stella's vomit on fire."

"I forgot about that. Gross."

Sara landed in a heavy thud. She looked exhausted from taking care of her sick baby. Beomgyu joked "would you rather us fly with Kai instead?" That earned him a smack from her wing. Hyuka started laughing so hard he almost cried. Beomgyu rubbed his side then whined "it was a joke!"

Like mother like son, those large purple eyes rolled as her head shook. A loud shriek was heard from the middle of the woods followed by several gagging noises. Sara quickly grabbed her riders then tossed them on her back. Once they were strapped in, she took off like a jetpack.

Hyuka screamed "THIS IS AMAZING! WE RULE THE WORLD!"

Beomgyu started to yell with him. It felt great to finally have a moment alone with his best friend again. That hadn't happened since the younger previously lived there. When the high subsided, Beomgyu flipped around so they could face each other. "What do you wanna do while were in L.A?!"

"Eat first! I'm so hungry!"

"Then what?!"

"The beach! Our hotel is right on it too! We can stay up late and do anything we want!"

"When do we have to be back? I wanna see the hollywood sign!"

Hyuka tilted his head in confusion. "When DO we have to be back?"

"You didn't tell Taehyun when?"

"You didn't tell Soobin?!"

"You didn't tell your boyfriend when we would be back tomorrow?!"

"You didn't tell your fiance?!"

Beomgyu laughed with the younger. "We're terrible boyfriends!"

"You are. I'm a fucking catch."

Hyuka giggled as he pet Sara's side. "I've missed this Beomgyu. I've missed you a lot."

"Please don't start crying."

"You'd break first."

"Whatever..." Beomgyu started to awkwardly pet Sara too. "Thanks for not losing touch. I know it hasn't been easy, I haven't been easy, but thanks for trying..."

"You're welcome. I guess it's a good thing I left. You wouldn't have met Taehyun if I hadn't. Oh my God!"

"What? What?"

"Do you think he would've died?!"

Beomgyu seriously thought about it for a long moment. The more optimistic side of him liked to think that maybe he would've eventually found real shelter. Or maybe someone would've found him in the blizzard and taken him in. Reality set in and it was depressing. "Probably... it was bad Hyuka. Has he ever talked to you about his parents?"

"Not really. I figured that he would when he was ready to. The most I got was that he didn't remember his dad and his mom wasn't really around."

"About the same for us. He was so skinny when he came here. I told Soobin to put extra fat in his portions whenever he fed him."
