After a painful dinner with the parents, Yeonjun took Hyuka out to get ice cream. Their parents spent 3 hours questioning why they were taking six classes instead of four, what they planned on doing after they graduated, Hyuka's relationship, when they were getting driver's licenses and when Yeonjun was going to find someone good for him.
They were emotionally exhausted. Mint chocolate chip ice cream with mixed in oreos seemed to hit the spot. Yeonjun asked Hyuka if he knew about the Minnesotans property situation. He did not. "What did Taehyun ask you exactly?"
"He mentioned that they suddenly needed 100 acres or something? They wanted me to buy the neighbors property. I guess their neighbors were threatening them so they wanted me to buy them out so they would move."
Hyuka realized the dragon egg probably hatched and they needed the space for when it was grown. He couldn't wait to call his boyfriend. He wanted pictures of the baby so badly. "If you don't want to buy it then I can. Really, it's no big deal."
"Kai, you're already paying for their colleges. I know you love Taehyun but don't you think this is too much?"
The 15 year old angrily bit his ice cream cone. Everything would be so much easier if his best friend knew. "Let's take a quick visit there. We have a week of spring break left."
"What?"
"Well I want to see my boyfriend and I think it would be a good idea to look at the properties."
"I- alright. You're paying for the flights though." Yeonjun left to call his family's real estate agent to set up an appointment.
Hyuka called Taehyun. "Hey babe. You're on spring break right?"
"Yes. This needs to be quick though. I need to work in a half an hour."
"Yeonjun and I are coming over this week to look at the property. We need to tell him about the dragons. I know why you didn't ask me but I would do it for you in a heartbeat."
"Youre coming over? For how long?"
"Just a couple of days. Any chance we will be alone during that time?"
Taehyun looked towards his bedroom door. "Um. Probably not. I have so many places that I want to take you though. We can probably be alone at night!"
"I'll see you soon babe. Have fun at work! Tell Beomgyu and Soobin that Yeonjun will sleep on the couch."
"I will!"
Hyuka hung up to call his travel agent. He got two last minute tickets Minnesota. They were going to leave tomorrow. He began to pack for the short trip then wondered if he needed to bring a gift for the baby. What would a baby dragon even like anyways? He dismissed that thought. Taehyun was more important.
Yeonjun came back. "I assume we have an early flight?"
"We leave at 5am."
"Perfect. I set the appointment for 4 in the afternoon. That will give us plenty of time. This neighbor better be terrifying. Their property isn't cheap."
"I've met them before... they're pretty scary..."
Yeonjun began packing. "Do we need to bring guns?"
"No! I mean. No, that's not necessary."
"You're acting weird." Yeonjun stopped packing then looked at him funny. "What aren't you telling me?"
Hyuka sat down. His best friend wasn't going to believe him but might as well give it a shot. "They have three dragons. They need the land because the third one was born either today or yesterday."
