Turning 16

Soobin woke the birthday boy up with a vanilla bean cupcake. A single pink candle was placed in the center. The couple starting singing happy birthday when Taehyun sat up. It was awkward waiting for them to finish but nonetheless, he was grateful they still cared. He blew the candle out and wished for Hyuka to be with him for the rest of his life.

"Thanks you guys!" Taehyun bit into the cupcake. Like all of Soobin's food, it was delicious. He finished the cupcake off then got dressed.

Hyuka woke up extra early to call his boyfriend before he started school.

Taehyun was struggling to get his sweater on as he heard the phone ring. He fell over trying to grab the phone. "Babe hold on. I'm going to put you on speaker." He finished changing and got his stuff ready while they talked. "Okay. I can talk now."

"Did you get my gift yet?"

"No. Knowing Soobin, he's probably waiting until after dinner to give it to me. It's really early isn't it babe? I appreciate you calling but you need sleep."

"But, I want to talk to you..."

"Okay. I won't argue with that. Do you want to say hi to the couple? I need to get some stuff ready for a project."

"Sure!" Taehyun handed the phone off to Beomgyu. Soobin was cooking breakfast for everyone. "Hi Beomie! Hi Soobin!"

Soobin said hi. Beomgyu began ranting about Sara. He thinks they're close to seeing the egg but he also thought that last week. "She has to be close soon! We have a black dragon and a white one. I bet the new baby will be silver!"

Soobin looked over and said "or a mix of both. It could be black and white. That would be cool actually."

"That would be! The scales will still be purple though. I hope the purple eyes stay too. It's awesome!"

Hyuka continued to listen to him rant. It just made him even more excited to see the dragons again. He looked over to Yeonjun grumbling in his sleep and hoped that he could see the dragons too. That would make things a little bit complicated if he couldn't.

Beomgyu passed the phone back to Taehyun when the birthday boy came into the living room. "Hey babe. I'm back."

"I sent two presents up. Ask them for one!"

Taehyun begged the couple to let him open one. Beomgyu said no but Soobin couldn't resist those big boba eyes. He gave him the Toothless plushy. "It's so cute! I love it Hyuka!"

"It looks like you baby! I'm glad you like it so much! I know you have to go so I'll let you hang up. Call me later when you get your next gift!"

"I will! Bye Hyuka!" Taehyun hung up. Kai flew him to his school. Like usual, he got there before everyone else.

His goal today was to build a 10 foot snowman. He told his dragon to roll the ball up to his shoulders. He stood still so those purple eyes could get a decent measure of where that was. Then Kai began to roll the snowball.

Taehyun began to roll the middle portion of the snowman. The snow from last night was perfectly sticky. You couldn't get better building conditions. He picked up a small handful of snow and packed it into a ball. More handfuls of snow got added then those got packed as well. Once it was a volleyball size, he gently placed it on the ground and began to roll. Now it was getting really big. He stopped rolling when it came up to his waist.

When Kai was done, he lowered his wing so Taehyun could roll his snowball onto it. The dragon then gently placed it on top of the one he created. Taehyun helped to guide it. Then the 16 year old started to pack snow between them to act as a glue.
