Flourishing love

During class, Hyuka could not stop texting Wonyoung. She sent a photo of herself in a baby blue sweater dress and asked him for his opinion. Like a gentlmen, he told her she looked beautiful. Yuna looked over and saw what he kept smiling at. Jealously was written across her face. She nudged him and asked "hey, were still going to the spring dance together right?"

Hyuka said "yeah totally" without looking up from his phone. He saw her jealousy in the corner of his eye and didnt care. Not like they were dating anyways. Jake, his New York best friend, had a massive crush on her and could go with her instead for all he cared. Most of the guys in his class felt the same way as Jake.

Yuna looked over again and asked "have you been to the school's volleyball games? We're number one in the state! I'm the captain. I would love it if you could be there. You know... to cheer me on?"

He looked over at her and did a half smile. He was being rude before, he couldnt be now. "Sure. When is the next game?"

Her eyes smiled as she tried to keep her cool. "Tomorrow actually. Can you make it?"

Vernon interrupted and said "absolutely! We will be there tomorrow!"

"Great! Thanks you guys!" She turned her attention back to her love interest and said "you being there means a lot to me."

Hyuka did a half sincere smile as a response. He went to text Wonyoung back but the teacher told him to put his phone away or he would take it from him till the end of class.

After class was over, the spoiled rebellion met up for lunch at the Mcdonalds across the street. Vernon told the group about what Yuna did and they started teasing Hyuka for it. Jake was not happy. "I still cant believe she asked you out. Shes never asked anyone out to a dance EVER."

Hyuka ate some of his fries then said "Im sorry? Its not like I couldve said no. You shouldve asked her sooner what can I say?"

Seungmin interrupted "show Jake the photo of your girlfriend!"

"She is not my girlfriend! We're just friends!" Hyuka's face was as red as his ketchup. He pulled out some of the photos she sent him and they gasped.

Jake said "wow. Just wow. How do you pull girls like that and why have I never seen her before?"

"I dont try to 'pull' anyone and she's home schooled. Come on you guys know Im moving in January. Its not that serious."

His friends knew but chose to forget that. They were really going to miss him. Seungmin changed the subject. "Are we seriously going to a girls volleyball game tomorrow? We werent even invited. Hyuka was."

Vernon asked "isnt your girlfriend on the team?"

Seungmins eyes went wide. "Oh shit she is. Dont tell her I forgot please."

They all pinky promised each other they wouldnt. Jake stole some of Vernon's cookies before they walked back to the school for their next classes. The group promised to meet after school to go play paintball then bowling.

Hyuka almost bumped into 3 different people because he couldnt stop staring at his phone. He still hadnt asked her when they could hang out yet but he decided to soon. Yeonjun was set to move in the summer which meant a lot of his free time would be gone. He only had a couple months left and he wanted to try to see if dating was possible for him.

He spent his next classes doing homework from his previous classes.

His mom enrolled him in a prestigious private school and he still got bored in it. Their band wasnt called The Spoiled Rebellion for no reason. Everyone who went to Old Providence High came from prestigious families. The parents used the school as an easy way to build their network with good education being the excuse. It worked very well. The Huenings had connections everywhere partly because of their careful school selections. The other part being their son is a social butterfly.
