Giant penguin, captain america

"Yeonjun are you sure about this?" Hyuka was handed a giant penguin mascot costume while Yeonjun got dressed as Captain America. It wasnt the costume the 14 year old minded. He actually thought it was really cute. It was the idea of Yeonjun inside of a haunted house.

"Kai! Youre being such a baby!"

"Um... last time we went to a haunted house, you got so scared you tackled me to the ground trying to run remember?"

"That was one time!"

"And the time we went on the haunted hayride?"

"I did not cry! I dont care what you say about that!"

Hyuka put on his little red bowtie to finish the costume off. He looked ridiculous but he also enjoyed it. He began to dance around the house, waddling from place to place. Yeonjun secretly recorded him and sent it to the minnesotans. By the time Hyuka realized he was being filmed, the video was over a minute long.

"GET BACK HERE YEONJUN!" They started to chase each other. The older threw his plastic shield into Hyuka's plush penguin belly. It bounced right off and hit a stack of books on a side table. The giant penguin still gave chase around the condo before he smacked against a door frame and fell backwards on his ass. The costume was too big to fit through the frame. Yeonjun began laughing his ass off as he watched his best friend flap his flippers trying to get up. "HELP ME UP! QUIT LAUGHING AT ME!"

Yeonjun started crying from laughing. The older was very close to pissing himself as Hyuka still struggled to sit up. The younger eventually flipped onto his belly then used his arms and knees to stand. He smacked the crying Yeonjun with one of his flippers then started laughing with him.

They laughed more when they watched the whole thing play back on the video Yeonjun recorded. Hyuka told him to submit that to 'America's Funniest Home Videos' to see if they could get any money.

Captain America threw his arm around his big penguin's shoulders and said "ready to take off?"

"I'll be fine! Are you?"

"For the last time! I do not get scared easily!"

The big penguin adjusted his bowtie and shook his head. It took a lot of squishing to get into the back seat of the car. Yeonjun thought it would be a good idea to get a running head start and charge into Hyuka's butt to shove him in. What actually ended up happening was the pedestrians walking by got a nice view of watching Captain America bounce off of a blue penguin ass.

Hyuka was now the one crying from laughter as he wiggled his penguin butt into the seat. Yeonjun caught his breath then finally sat in the seat next to him.

They arrived at the haunted house to see the line curving around the block. Getting Hyuka out was just as hard as getting him in. A friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and a ballerina helped Captain America yank him out. Hyuka screamed as he watched his red bowtie fall to the ground.

When he fastened it back on, he threatened "you are never buying me a costume again!"

Through more laughter, Yeonjun promised he wouldn't.

When Beomgyu saw the video, he laughed so hard he fell down. Soobin took the phone and started smacking Taehyun next to him to come look. They all decided it was the funniest thing theyve ever seen. Beomgyu kept replaying the part where Hyuka smacked into the door frame and fell backwards.

They started texting Hyuka about it and the penguin knew he would never live that one down.

When they arrived at the front of the line, they got their tickets scanned and the walk through began. The theme was asylum.

The first floor had white smoke all around the halls. The lights in the ceiling were bright but kept flickering. Yeonjun was already scared. He kept using his giant penguin as a shield when they passed open door and corner. Hyuka was starting to see why his costume was so large.

Screaming came from one of the open doors they had to pass. A woman with long dark hair popped out and there was fake blood dripping from her eyes. Yeonjun screamed as he pulled Hyuka backwards into the wall behind him. The penguin was more interested in the makeup while being dragged away to the next hallway. He gave the woman a thumbs up before they left out of sight.

The stairway up had more flickering lights and blood spattered on the walls. Laughing was heard in the new floor. Yeonjun pressed forward with his plastic circular shield in front. Hyuka trailed behind, taking his time to look around.

A creepy doctor with a fake bloody cleaver tried to scare the giant penguin but they made eye contact before he could. Hyuka said "shh" and then pointed at Yeonjun down the hall. He watched the fake doctor, in amusement, sneak behind Yeonjun and yell into his ear. He predictably screamed then a mental patient popped out from the door he was behind to scare him again. Yeonjun ran towards his giant penguin, grabbed his flipper and they ran off to the next floor.

This floor was completely dark. Participants were told to use their phone's flashlights to see. Hyuka and Yeonjun turned theirs on and started to navigate the new hall. A giant robotic spider charged towards them then ran into a different room. Hyuka wanted to see where it ran to but Yeonjun pulled him away.

The next open room had scraping noises coming from inside. To tease him, Hyuka started running his nails along the walls to scare his best friend more. He figured he deserved it for buying him a costume too fat to fit into the back seat of a car. Yeonjun figured out some of the sounds were coming from Hyuka so he smacked him. "Quit it!"

Hyuka giggled as they kept walking. In an instant, a fake hanging body dropped from the ceiling. Yeonjun screamed again as he fell backwards. This one actually did scare Hyuka. He jumped a little in his penguin suit. The body got pulled back up into the ceiling and the boys continued to make their way down the stairs.

On the back half of the second floor, the lights were brightly lit. Fake blood was everywhere on the walls. An actress faked peeling her skin off. Another actress faked puking green liquids. A man let out the loudest scream the boys had ever heard in their lives. There werent jumpscares on this floor. Pure fake gore. The last room had a pair of twins pretending to cut each other.

They made their way downstairs to the back part of the first floor. More fog and more flickering lights came into view. Nothing happened so far as they made their way to the exit.

Once they got there, the exit door shut. They couldn't get out as a crowd of other participants formed behind them. Some thought it was a mistake. Others thought it was part of the scare. Minutes passed and people began to scream for help. That's when the lights went off and flashes of jumpscares started happening from the walls and the ceiling. It was perfect terrifying finale.

The exit door finally opened and the boys started talking about how great that haunted house was. A frankenstein at the end of the exit gate gave them a business card and asked to rate their company on trip advisor.

Yeonjun laughed as he helped his penguin get into the back seat again. Hyuka wiggled as quickly as he could before people started looking.

They went to a party thrown at Jake's house and danced the night away. Their band of course played classic Halloween music like 'thriller' but also threw in some classic rock hits like 'more than a feeling'.

It was 3am by the time the boys got home. They stripped their outfits off and decided to just pull and all nighter before school the next morning. The sun was going to rise in 2 and a half hours anyways. There wasn't a point in sleep.

They watched youtube together and showed one another memes until it was time to watch the sunrise.

Hyuka sat down with Yeonjun next to him on their favorite bench. He stated "man that was the best haunted house Ive ever been to."

"Yeah that was fucking awesome."

"Do you regret not getting any sleep?"

Yeonjun shrugged. "Not really."

"Me neither."
