Day 2 in California

The next morning, the new couple were woken up by Yeonjun banging on their hotel door.

Hyuka knew it was Yeonjun because he had a very specific knock. He groaned and yelled "GO AWAY YEONJUN!"

"YOU HAVE CLASS IDIOT. WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE IF YOU DON'T GET READY IN 5 MINUTES!"

"FUCK!! Hyuka completely forgot he had classes today. He sat up and jumped out of bed after kissing Taehyun's forehead. "I'LL BE RIGHT THERE! DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT ME!"

Taehyun watched Hyuka fix his hair and run out the door within the span of 3 minutes. It was 7am in California but his body told him it was 5am. He was unhappy about being woken up so early. His phone got a message from his boyfriend saying "I'm so sorry I woke you up! I'll see you after class!" He smiled then went back to sleep.

Or at least he tried to. 30 minutes later, Beomgyu knocked on his door and told him to open it. He could hear Soobin insisting on letting him sleep more but Beomgyu wasn't a fan of that idea.

Taehyun rolled out of bed, hair a mess, and opened the door. With eyes only halfway awake, he asked "how are you guys not tired?"

Soobin told him he looked cute and started fixing his hair. Beomgyu jumped onto the bed then said "we wanted to hear about your date!"

With Soobin still finger combing his hair, Taehyun asked "that couldn't have waited until later?"

"NOPE!" Beomgyu patted the bed. Taehyun hopped on and Soobin sat behind them, leaning against the headboard. "So... how did it go?"

Taehyun smiled. He didn't know where to start. It was perfect. All he said was "you were right. He was worth the wait."

Soobin yelled "AWE!" and hugged him from behind.

The younger continued. "He's amazing! I just... I can't believe he's with me. Does he always cheat when he's playing games?"

While still hugging him, Soobin laughed in his ear. "Yeah, he does. What did you guys play?"

"Mini golf!"

"Hey, if you guys didn't get kicked out then consider that a win."

"We almost did! He threw my ball into a pond!" The couple laughed with him. Taehyun then asked "what did you guys do with Yeonjun?"

Beomgyu explained they went to an arcade and actually had a lot of fun. He and Yeonjun destroyed Soobin in the basketball toss. Together, between the three of them, they amassed 25,000 tickets. Yeonjun gave his portion to the couple so they could take back more souvenirs.

They then went to a classic California bistro where they had wild caught fish, avocado toasts and fresh farm salads. Yeonjun paid for all of it despite Soobin insisting he could pay for their portions.

Soobin interrupted and said "yeah Yeonjun almost hit him when Beomgyu told me to let him pay after he ordered an expensive dessert."

Beomgyu protested "I said I was sorry! I paid for the movie tickets and the popcorn!" He continued to explain Yeonjun forgave him after he ordered himself an extra large slushy and three boxes of candy as revenge.

After the movie was over, they split to go their seperate ways. The couple was going to say hi last night but they heard Hyuka laughing. It didn't feel right to interrupt their first date like that.

Taehyun thanked them for not doing that. He asked if they ate breakfast yet and the couple told him no. They planned to meet in the hotel lobby in 30 minutes for food. He showered, brushed his teeth and got dressed after they left.

Soobin googled breakfast restaurants around them. There was a couple of cafes nearby so they chose the closest one and started to walk.

The weather was around 80 degrees with a slight breeze. Clouds were overhead covering the sun. Despite the lack of sunshine, it felt great. Perfect day to go to the beach.
