Beomgyu still wanted Taehyun to meet Hyuka. Before they both left for work, he pulled him to the side and handed him Hyuka's number. "If you change your mind at any time, just call him. He would love to meet you."

"Does he know about me?"

"Well... no. But I wanna introduce you guys in person. Think about it some more okay?"

"I will."

After work, Taehyun went to swim in a lake with his friends. The poor kid forgot to put sunscreen on so he got burnt all over his back.

When he got home, Kai was so excited to see him that he attacked him with licks. One of the licks landed on his back. It felt like taking a wet piece of sandpaper and sliding it down the entirety of his burn. Taehyun screamed in pain while he fell to the ground. Kai felt bad for hurting his rider. He gently placed his big head on Taehyun's stomach and whined out of concern.

Tae tightened his back muscles in an attempt to lessen the pain. His hand kept stroking his dragon's head to calm them both down. Kai gently licked his face which made them both smile. "Im okay. You just licked a very painful area but Im okay. I still love you."

Kai did a happy roar then lifted his head off of his rider's stomach. Taehyun slowly sat up. His back still really hurt. He walked into the house and took a cold shower. The sharpness of the water made him jump. He forced himself to stay inside of the frigid shower and eventually it felt nice against his red hot skin.

When he left the shower, he got dressed and laid on the bed on his stomach. Taehyun remembered getting Hyuka's number earlier that morning and decided it wouldnt hurt to call. It was very late though. Even later on the east coast. The phone rang but went unanswered. He figured that was going to happen. Beomgyu didnt even get an answer most of the time.

Taehyun took it as a sign that it wasnt meant to be and went to sleep.

Hyuka woke up to see an unknown number called him. He googled the area code and found it was some small county in Minnesota. One that was much farther than where Beomgyu lived. "Must be spam" he told himself.

Yeonjun knocked on his bedroom door and asked to come in. Hyuka told him he could.

"Hey Hyuka. Oh yeah. Someone called you last night. I sent them to voicemail. I hope that's okay. I didnt want to wake you up."

He rubbed his eyes and yawned in his reply. "Yeah thank you. I was really tired from yesterday. The number is from some place in Minnesota."

Yeonjun sat down on Hyuka's bed. "Was it Soobin?"

"I dont think so. Mightve been spam. They didnt leave a voicemail either."

Yeonjun grabbed Hyuka's phone and started calling the number back.

Hyuka yelled "hey! Give me that back! Its probably spam!"

Taehyun was at work washing dishes when he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He dried his hands off very quickly and looked to see who was calling him. He couldnt believe it. It was his crush. Annie came around the corner so Taehyun put his phone away. He would have to try again when he was on break.

Yeonjun looked at the phone disappointed. "Guess you were right. Or maybe it was some kid who tried to prank call you and got scared."

Hyuka snatched his phone back and deleted his call log. He looked back at Yeonjun and asked what he planned for his birthday.

"Its a surprise Kai!"

"Yeonjun! Pleaseee!" He looked at his best friend in the best puppy face he could produce. Yeonjun had to look away but Hyuka persisted.
