“So... did your switcheroo always work out for you?” Avery asked me as we moved back to the cubicle after each getting a cup of coffee.

“Yeah, like were you two never caught?” Julio added.

Megan chuckled.

“Mrs. Nolan knows her daughters. She busts them every time.”

“But outsiders?” Avery asked.

I shook my head.

“Never. And it's always funny because I'm left-handed and Aubree's not.”

“Oh yeah, that's so true” Megan chuckled.

“Wait so did you ever switch places when you were dating?” Avery asked.

“Or when you two got married” Julio grinned mischievously, pumping his brows at me.

I smiled.

“I only dated the one person I married.”

“Hey, what about Link?” Megan playfully shoulder bumps me.

“Ouu, who's Link?” Avery and Julio chorused.

I shook my head at them.

“Lincoln was my sitting partner in second grade” I shoulder-bumped Megan back.

Avery pouted.

“Boring.”

“He tried to kiss Brie during Math and—”

“It was an accident!” I defended.

“What happened?” Julio smiled.

“An accident” I repeated.

Megan put a hand on her hip.

“Accident or not, Breanna, you still headbutted that poor boy.”

I groaned.

“You headbutted him?!” Julio snorted.

Avery laughed hard till she was out of breath.

“How's that even funny?” I chortled, trying very hard to be offended.

“It's not” Megan giggled.

I shook my head.

“So back to what I was saying... I dated only Beck.”

“Only him?” Julio asked.

I nodded.

“Why?”

“Because I thought he was the one. I mean he was the one... then” I sighed softly.

“But... you weren't the one for him” Megan rubbed my shoulder gently.

I shrugged.

“I just hate that it took him seventeen long years to finally come out with it that Aubree was his one. I mean what's the worst I would have done?”

“Wait seventeen years and then tempt your sister's husband to sleep with you” Julio shrugged.
