The night was going far better than I'd ever imagined. Jenny and Deena were amazing, the more I got to know them the more I loved them.

And Karl being part of the club? That was just pure coincidence. He was a nice guy, we studied together a few times. He'd offered me a job, atleast I think that's what he meant. And I can't say I'm not tempted.

Dom hasn't mentioned anything about me leaving, and neither have I. Partly because I don't have anywhere to go, but mostly because I don't want to. I was happy here. Genuinely happy. And it only kept getting better.

Downing another shot, Deena was suddenly up on her feet. Come on old gal, she said hoisting Jenny up and then turning to me.

Let's go show those wannabe hoes over there who this club really belongs too.

I giggled, too tipsy to argue.

Shoulder barging a blonde chick in a sparkly dress that barely covered her lady parts, Deena situated us right in the middle of their circle on the stage.

Fuck its been too long since we did this, Jenny said laughing as we danced and grinned with each other, getting in the way of the hoes until eventually they gave up.

You got nothing on Ivy, bitch, won't be long till he drops you like the piece of shit you are, one of the women said quietly to me before turning and making her way into the crowd.

Her comment bothered me more than I wanted it to. Making my way back to the booth we'd been in, I grabbed the bottle of Jack, ignoring the shotglasses and downing a mouthful before returning to the stage with the ladies, bottle in tow.

As we passed the bottle round, dancing and laughing with each other, I was dangerously close to being proper drunk. And more relaxed than I'd been in fuck I don't know how long.

As I swayed and moved to the music, I lost my footing and fell backwards, but before I hit the floor I was grabbed around the waist by a strong arm and steadied on my feet.

Turning to thank Dom for saving me once again, I was suprised to see it wasn't him at all, but Tank.

Uhh... thank you... I stuttered, slightly nervous. Although we'd met a few times, it had all been under fucked up circumstances, and we'd never actually had a conversation or anything.

Don't mention it, he replied with a grin.

And I promise I won't tell Reaper his girls falling for me already. Might break his poor old heart.

I couldn't help but grin, the man oozed confidence, and the ice between us had officially been broken.

Thanks, I replied grinning back. So where is he?

Reaper? His dad wanted a quick word with him in his office, shouldn't be too long. Asked me to keep an eye on ya while he was out, and I was more than happy to abide he said with a wink.

He was a scary looking mother fucker, thats for sure. But I wasn't scared of him in the slightest. Especially while he was standing here harmlessly flirting with me.

Flashing him my brightest smile, I turned my attention back to Jenny and Deena, only to find their men had joined them and were all over each other.

Feeling like a third wheel, I turned and got off the stage to find somewhere to sit when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Where ya going little lady?

Tank was standing there, hands on his hips. He looked so ridiculous I couldn't help but laugh.

You wanna dance little lady, let's dance!

He grabbed my hand and spun me around, wiggling his eyebrows at me and grinning like a damn Cheshire cat.

His dancing was embarrassingly terrible. Pulling his moves straight from some retro disco movie or something. It felt like everyone in the room was staring at us, or him more like it, but they seemed used to his antics and cheered him on more than anything. He looked at me hopefully. What the hell, I thought, pulling out my best sprinkler and spirit finger moves, and earning an ear splitting smile from Tank.

In no time I was doubled over, tears running down my face as I laughed uncontrollably.

Well, you took that like a champ, Tank said to me as we sat down at the bar for a much needed drink. My stomach hurt from laughing so much, and the alcohol had my cheeks aglow.

Last chick I danced with ran screaming from the clubhouse. Never saw her again... he trailed off and again I was in another wave of hysterics at the image it conjured in my head.

Poor girl... I answered through giggled.

Hey! He exclaimed, punching me in the arm softly.

I dunno how it happened, but Dominic had been gone all of half an hour and somehow I'd managed to steal his best friend and claim him as my own. Lord knows I needed all the friends I can get.

Almost as if he could read my thoughts, he took a swig of his drink and laid his head on my shoulder.

I like you Alexis. From what I've seen and heard life's dealt you a pretty shit hand and you can still have a laugh.
And for a girl that's hot as shit, you don't take yourself too seriously.

Yep, you've got the Tank seal of approval.

As we sat there in comfortable silence, his head still rested on my shoulder, a throat cleared behind us.

Well, this looks pretty fucking cosy.

There stood Dom, fists clenched and fire in his eyes.
