The day had gone better than I ever could have hoped. I really wanted everyone that was important to me to get along, and it was clear watching the two girls together that I didn't have anything to worry about.

It was fucking exhausting though. Taking care of a kid ain't a walk in the park, thats for sure.

As much as I'd enjoyed my time with the two, I was sure glad to be back home in the familiar comforts of the club. I saw AJ and Dianna at the bar, watching Tilly with pride as she mingled with the guys. When Dianna came over to our table, I took the opportunity to have a chat with my brother.

"You've raised a pretty wicked little kid right there. She's a credit to the both of ya. I'm fucking proud of ya baby brother" I said, grinning and slapping him on the back.

He grinned. "Thanks man. Never thought I wanted to be a dad after the shit job ours did, but once she was here I couldn't imagine life without her.

I was envious of my brother and what he'd built for himself, but I wouldn't change my life for anything. We had the rest of our lives for baby making. The thought had me grinning like an idiot.

"Oh, by the way..." AJ continued. "I was hoping we could borrow one of the club SUV's to take to the service. I can only imagine it'll cause a scene in town and I don't want to risk our piece of shit wagon breaking down on us again. We can take Alexis if she isn't riding with you."

I raised my eyebrow at him. "You got car troubles? Why didn't ya fucking say something. Club owns a garage just down the road from here. And your not fucking driving. I'll have one of the prospects drive the girls, no doubt they won't want to mess up their hair." I rolled my eyes.

"But you brother, you're riding with me and the boys. Unless you've forgotten how?"

He punched me in the arm. "Couldn't forget if I wanted to. Shit's in our blood. I swear I was on a bike before I was on a bloody potty. Much to mums horror."

I laughed at the thought. "Follow me. We're going out."

He looked at me questioningly, but did as asked.

"Tank!" He looked up from where he'd been deeply engrossed in a game of Motorbike Barbie with Tilly.

"Keep an eye on her for us will ya. AJ and I are going to the garage."

"No worries boss' he called back, ruffling the little girls hair and earning squeals of protest from her.

She really had made quite the impression on the club in her short time here.

"Well, I'm sorry to tell you bro, but your piece of shit on wheels here will cost you more to fix than she's worth" I told AJ after we'd driven his vehicle to the garage and run some diagnostics on it.

"Shit." He sighed, running his hand down his face. "That's the last thing I need to deal with right now, Di's gonna be pissed.."

I looked at him with my eyebrow raised. "Trouble in paradise?"

He rolled his eyes. "I shouldn't complain man, I really shouldn't. Just after scraping together the deposit for our house, and now keeping up with the mortgage repayments on top of everything else, monies a bit tight at the moment. We had to borrow cash from Dianna's parents just for fuel to get here."

He sighed, and I found myself pissed off he hadn't come to me about shit.

"Go get the work truck" I snapped at him, grabbing the keys from the bench and throwing them at him. "It's out back."

He did as I asked, and I locked up the shop before meeting him out front and climbing in as he shifted to the passenger seat.

"Where are we going?" He asked a couple of minutes into the trip.

"You'll see" was all I responded with.

As we pulled into the towns local car dealership, I could see his mind working a mile a minute.

I got out of the truck before he had a chance to say anything and strode confidently over to the owner, Chad Freeman, who had become close with the club over the years.

"Reaper, long time no see" he greeted me, flashing me a smile with his perfectly white teeth.

"Chad" I acknowledged him, taking his extended hand and shaking it.

"Didnt know you were coming in to personally pick the thing up. Woulda put a fancy bow on it or some shit" he said with a grin.

"We aren't here about that. My brother needs a car. SUV probably. Something suitable for a small family. Gotta have decent safety ratings too, can't have my niece in danger."

Chad looked taken aback. "Well blow me down mate, didn't even know you had a biological brother. Nice to meet you man."

AJ shook his hand, although his serious gaze was still fixed on me.

"Dom what the hell are you playing at? I can't afford anything in here, even on finance" he said looking around the room.

"You don't have to. It's my shout" I replied neutrally, and his jaw dropped.

"I can't fucking accept that man, its too much."

"Well you don't get a choice. Think of it as compensation for all the missed birthdays, Christmases, your wedding. The list goes on. Besides, your fucking stupid if you think I'm letting you drive my niece around in that death trap of yours a second longer."

He opened his mouth, but no words came out. Before I knew it, he had his arms around me in an awkward, manly hug.

"Thank you so fucking much man. You have no idea what this means to me, to Di." he stuttered, and I swear I saw the beginnings of a tear forming at the corner of his eye.

"Don't thank me, just promise me you'll use the damn thing to come visit once in a while."

He wandered off with Chad to pick something out while I headed outside, leaning against the building and striking up a cigarette.

As we both pulled out of the lot at the same time, and he revved his engine before grinning stupidly at me, I knew the challenge had been set.

My old truck was no match for his brand new Mercedes, but I was hoping I'd have the navigational advantage and still beat him. I didn't. But I felt like a damn teenager again, it reminded me of old times.

"Oh shit" I said, stopping in my tracks as we entered the bar.

"Yup" Jenny said, spotting us and coming over. "They've been at it for hours, giggling like a pair of damn schoolgirls. Good luck to ya both" she finished, before patting us both on the shoulder and leaving us to it.

"Dianna doesn't drink..." AJ trailed off, looking shocked at his woman.

"Does now" I said with a smirk, knowing full well it woulda been Lexi's idea.

"What's so funny, ladies?" I asked, sitting down at the table with them, AJ hot on my heels.

"Dianna, you're drunk" he stated, grinning.

"Shhhhh, don't tell my husband" she replied, which had Alexis laughing so hard she literally fell off her chair. Which set Dianna off. I imagine they'd go all night if we let them.

"Alright ladies, bed time. Big day tomorrow" I said, picking Alexis up off the floor and throwing her over my shoulder.

AJ laughed, before doing the same with his woman, and we made our way into the elevator while our woman protested and tried to free from our grasp.

"See you tomorrow brother" I said when the lift reached our floor and opened.

"Yep. Good luck" he chuckled.

"Right back at ya" he shot.
