As I woke the next morning to an empty bed, I groaned and rolled over as I waited for the usual wave of nausea to hit. After a few minutes of nothing I was in total shock, and took it as a sign that maybe I should take Doms advice and get out of the clubhouse for the day. Heck knows I could do with some pampering, this pregnancy was taking its toll on my body in every way possible.

However as much as I loved the girls, I had no intention of inviting any of them along. Today was going to be about me, and I was a bit excited.

After showering and doing my best to make myself look nice despite the giant mound attached to my front, I headed downstairs in search of a driver for the day. As much as I wanted a 'me' day, I wasn't about to push my luck by attempting to drive myself. I could just picture Doms reaction if he found out.

Fifteen minutes later, a fairly new prospect named Jimmy and I were hurtling along towards the city in one of the clubs town cars. At first the air was brutally tense, with poor Jimmy white knuckled and watching the road intently as he drove, almost as though his life depended on it.

With a bit of encouragement however, he soon loosened up, and it wasn't long before we were chatting away like old friends, sharing stories from our past and how we both came to be where we are today. He was a nice guy, easy on the eye too. A common theme with the men that came to be Hellbound, and I giggled at the thought of some sort of looks-based application process for new prospects, which earned a sideways glance and lopsided smile from Jimmy.

Our first stop was at the local salon. My hair had never been high maintenance, or something that I ever gave too much thought, but it was definitely long overdue a trim and tidy up.

Jimmy waited outside the door, puffing on cigarettes and occasionally pulling his phone from his pocket to glance at the screen. I did the same, sending off a quick message to Dom letting him know we'd made it to the city and wishing him luck with Church.

As the stylist finished up I heard the front door open and close, and to my suprise Jimmy appeared at my side, hand offered out to me. I smiled up at him before taking it and using him to pull myself from the seat. He grabbed my bag from the floor, handing it to me before striding over to the counter and handing the receptionist a small fold of bills.

"You don't have to, I've got it" I started, opening my bag to grab my wallet, but he just held his hand up to me.

"It's good Miss, honestly. Reaper's taking care if it."

He flashed me that same boyish grin, before linking his arm through mine and guiding me gently from the building.

As he held the door open for me, I felt an odd twist in my gut, and couldn't help the feeling someone was watching me. I paused, scanning the area for anything out of the ordinary, but nothing stood out to me.

"Everything okay Miss?" Jimmy asked, concern lacing his voice as he instinctively reached for the piece in his jacket.

"It's fine. Nothing." I replied, shaking myself and getting into the car. "And call me Alexis. Miss just don't sound right."

As we pulled out of the car park my stomach gave an embarrassingly loud growl, earning a raised eye from Jimmy.

"So... lunch next then?" he asked with a smirk.

I tried to glare at him but failed miserably, so instead I just laughed and nodded, falling back into my seat.

As we pulled into the drive thru, the uneasy feeling from earlier was still eating away at me, no matter how hard I tried to ignore it. If paranoia was a pregnancy side effect it sure was new to me. I couldn't even enjoy my lunch, and I could see the looks of concern Jimmy was shooting me at my change of demeanor.
