Waking up in an unfamiliar bed was disorientating. Sitting up slowly and rubbing my eyes, the events of the previous night slowly started coming back to me.

I'd been with her. Alexis. She'd opened up to me about her past, about losing our baby. Fuck I'd been angry, vowing to myself to do some digging and come up with a name so I can make him suffer for everything he put that girl through. She wouldn't tell me, didn't want me involved, but it was too late. His grave had been dug the moment he laid hands on Lexi.

Feeling her warmth in my lap, my arms around her as she cried her heart out for the loss of our baby, I vowed to myself in that moment to do whatever it took to keep her safe, protected and happy. Its the least she deserved, and I wanted to be the man to give it to her.

Suddenly I felt a wave of panic wash over me, remembering how she'd left me alone last time. But a quick glance to my right had all my fears melt away. There she was, right next to me, sleeping peacefully. Laying back down again, I pulled her against me and she stirred, wriggling her ass into my crotch which was rock hard.

Well good morning to you to, she said rolling over sleepily and giving me a small, knowing smile. Fuck she's beautiful.

Morning I said, unable to wipe the cheesy grin off my face. So nice of you to stick around.

She laughed, and it was my new favorite sound. A genuine, happy laugh.  I could get used to this, waking up beside her every day. She tried to wriggle out of my grasp, but I wasn't ready to let her go just yet.

I have to pee, she exclaimed mid giggle, so I reluctantly released her and she flew out the door. I got up, throwing my cut back on. It was the only piece of clothing I'd bother taking off before falling asleep. Standing in her room awkwardly, my gaze was drawn back to the wall full of sketches. There was some real fucking skill in the drawings even I could see that. It also reminded me I was yet to receive my ink.

Whatcha looking at... she asked waltzing back into the room. She had a while different vibe about her this morning, and I liked it. A lot.

Just checking out the art. I'm assuming it's yours?

Yup. Drawing calms me so I find myself doodling a lot. Lots end up in the trash but the ones I like go here, she said proudly.

You should put them in your office, I know a few guys back at the clubhouse who would pay good money for some killer ink like these. I wasn't kidding.

But this ones mine, I said pointing to the one that had caught my eye last night and then again this morning. It was a female, completely skeletal except for her eyes, which were a piercing blue color and felt as though they stared directly into your soul. Glossy black hair framed her face, and raised above her head in her hand was a human heart, dripping vivid red blood down her arm.

You like her? She asked and I nodded.

Pulling the picture off the wall, she handed it to me.

Its yours then. Take it home with you.

Is that your subtle way of kicking me out, I asked and she blushed.

Oh shit... thats not what I meant, I just meant have it, keep it. Its yours.

I laughed as she stumbled over her words.

Just giving you shit sweetheart. Chill. So what are your plans today? I asked casually.

Not much, just a couple errands to run I think, she replied. Wanna come with? Unless of course your busy... she trailed off.

Shocked that she'd even asked, I quickly agreed. Yeh I'll come.

After grabbing a quick shower each we headed out.

Seeing as she didn't have a car, and I didn't have a spare helmet, we opted for a cab.

So, where we going? I asked casually.

The mall.

I internally groaned. Its pretty fucking obvious I'm not a 'mall' person. But I'd do it just to spend more time with her. Fuck I've got it bad alright.

It felt like every fucker in the building was gawking at us as we made our way through the crowds. After visiting the stationary store, the supermarket, and the shoe store, I was laden with bags and well and truly over it. But she looked happy, and I don't even know how she would have managed all these bags without me here.

Shit, she said after staring at her phone. I knew I shouldn't have gotten the shoes. Now I can't afford a fucking taxi home. Looking up at me with doe eyes, she asked... you wouldn't mind helping me walk these home would you.

Fuck that, I said dropping the bags on the pavement outside the mall. Her eyes fell and she looked helpless for a second.

I can pay for a damn cab woman. Or better yet... I pulled out my phone and called Tank.

Get one of the prospects to meet me out front of Central Mall with one of the trucks.

Your at the fucking mall? He asked, sniggering.

Yeh bro, just do it would ya?

I hung up. There. Ride sorted. You owe me, I said winking at her.

And I know exactly how you can repay me. I want the tattoo you owe me.
