"How is he doing?" I ask worriedly. He shrugs. "He is now in hospital. If only I could just go home," he sighs. I grab his hand and pull him down. "Hi Sage" I hear Adam say when I walk into the kitchen. As soon as they see Meri they look at us questioningly. "This is my best friend Meri. His father is in the hospital and may be in serious condition. We would really like to go to him" I say softly. Adam and Charlie look at us sympathetically. "You know what. I had to come to the Netherlands for work. I had received 2 plane tickets for today's flight. You guys just use them." Adam says and takes 2 pieces of paper from a drawer. I look at him with wide eyes. Meri immediately pulls me into a hug. "Thanks," he mumbles with his head in my neck. "You shouldn't say that to me," I chuckle. Meri walks up to Adam and Adam pulls him into a hug too. "Good boy," says Adam. Bianca walks towards me. "So you guys are going?" she asks. "Sorry. His father may be in a very bad condition," I say. She nods understandingly and gives me a hug too. "See you soon," she says. I smile. Charlie also pulls me into a hug. "Good trip. Don't forget to give his father and him something tasty. For men, love goes through the stomach so maybe they will both lighten up a bit" she whispers in my ear. I chuckle and nod. Meri walks towards me again. "Thank you all," I smile. "You are always welcome," says Bianca. I smile and nod.

I packed my things. Meri got his and we are now in a taxi on the way to the airport. How a day can go. Meri has put her arm around me and I lean against him. "I can't thank them enough," Meri sighs. I smile at him. They are very nice people. "We're here," says the driver. Meri gives some money and we get out. We take our suitcases from the trunk. The taxi immediately drives away again. I turn around. The airport is in front of us. It is large. But really big. "Come, otherwise we will be late," Meri says and walks inside. I quickly follow him.

We're going to land. I grab Meri's hand and squeeze it gently. He chuckles. And looks outside through the window. I nibble my gum. The wheels touch the ground. Phew. We're back on the ground. I just don't know what it's all about with planes lately. Everyone starts clapping. I don't quite understand why. We're supposed to land, right? I just clap along with everyone. I see that Meri is not clapping. I get it. He has something completely different on his mind.

Room 203. We're here. Oh well, we're in the waiting room. We're not allowed in. Anna is there too. She has bags under her eyes. Meri's eyes are also red from crying. "Would you like something to drink?" I ask as I stand up. "No thanks sweetie" Anna says and tries to smile at me. "Have some coffee," Meri says tiredly. "You can also go home to sleep," Anna says to Meri, he shakes his head stubbornly. I turn around and walk to a shop near the waiting room. "What would you like?" asks a girl behind the counter. "Two coffees" I say. "With something in it?" she asks. "Milk" I say absently. She nods kindly and takes 2 cups.
