"Ahh no!" Mom sighs outside. I happily hop outside. Oh yes, she wanted to 'adjust' the shed a bit so she is now working on carpentry. Which, by the way, is really not a good idea. She can barely hold a hammer. Never mind that she actually takes up carpentry seriously. "What is it mom?" I chuckle. "The nails are gone, the hammer doesn't work and just urgh" she sighs and runs a hand through her hair in frustration. I chuckle, the hammer doesn't work seriously mom? "Can I help with anything?" I ask, trying to contain my laughter. "Uhm, yes please. Could you go to the hardware store and get some nails and a new hammer?" she asks. "Yes, that's fine," I chuckle when suddenly everything I see turns black. Darkness is near! What does that sentence actually mean? "Who am I?" I hear a low voice say. "Oohh, if you're Sinterklaas, I hope you have presents, but if you're Santa Claus, that rule also applies, but then I also want to fly around in your sleigh," I rattle on enthusiastically. Ahh there is the light again. The two hands disappear from my eyes. "Sage, Santa Claus and Sinterklaas?" Meri asks, laughing. Oww Oopsie, I'm scratching my head awkwardly. I smile sweetly and nod. "Yes," I smile, although I didn't come out too sure. Meri shakes his head, laughing. "Hey Meri" I hear mom say. "Come, ma'am," Meri says back. "I was just planning to go to the hardware store. Would you like to come along?" I ask. "Yes, I had nothing to do at home," he says and shrugs his shoulders. "Mom, we're going!" I shout. "Thank you, you are my heroes!" she calls back. We walk to Meri's car. I get in and Meri does the same. A grin graces my lips. My hands slowly go to the volume button. I turn the volume knob backwards and Moves like Jagger now roars through the car. "I've got the moves like Jagger!" I immediately start singing enthusiastically. Meri shakes his head, laughing. He presses the accelerator and starts singing along with me.

"Okay, what did you want?" Meri asks, pushing the cart forward. "Uhmm nails and a hammer that will do the trick" I chuckle. "A hammer that works?" Meri asks, laughing. I chuckle and nod. He shrugs his shoulders and walks in through the entrance. "Get on the cart," he grins. "How so?" I ask suspiciously. "Just do it," he laughs. I hesitantly step onto the cart. "Hold on tight," he grins. I quickly grab the front of the cart and Meri starts running, laughing. Whooooo!! We fly through the store. First turn left and then turn right again.

"Wait nails!" I shout laughing. Meri chuckles and stops running. I get off the cart and grab some nails. There is also a hammer so I'll take that with me right away. "On to the checkout!" I shout laughing and jump back on the cart. Meri starts running again and we rush through the store.

There's the cash register. Meri brings the cart to a stop. I jump off. The woman behind the counter looks at us strangely, which is not surprising, I would probably burst out laughing, but I understand why people look strangely. I put the stuff on the belt. The woman scans the items, causing the cash register to make a strange bleep sound. "That's 17.89 euros," she says grumpily. I want to grab my wallet but Meri beats me to it. "No, I will pay," he says. "I would also like to pay," I say. "Too late," Meri laughs as he inserts his debit card into the small device.

"Mom we have the stuff!!" I shout. "Oh, thanks," she sighs in relief. Meri gives her the bag. "We're going to have a movie night," Meri grins. "Oh oh" I chuckle. He throws me over his shoulder and walks upstairs. He puts me back in my room. I grab gray shorts and a black top. "I'm changing in the bathroom," I say and quickly run into the bathroom. When I close the door I hear Meri laughing softly.

I plop down next to Meri with the chips. I sit in the corner of the couch. Meri lies down next to me. He wraps his arms around my waist and rests his head on my stomach. "Which movie?" I chuckle. "Just turn something on," he says. A gray adorns my lips. "Romantic comedy!" I shout laughing. Meri sighs deeply. "I'm dying," he whines fakely. I shake my head laughing and focus my eyes on the television screen.

The movie is almost over. The main characters kiss each other. Aww they are really cute together. The credits appear. "Why don't they ever make a movie about what happens after the kiss?" I mutter. "They do. It's called porn" Meri says dryly. Wow... I shake my head laughing and falcepalm myself.

"Goddamn this hammer doesn't work either!" I hear Mom shouting outside, which makes me laugh even harder.
