Pov Sage

Axel was allowed to leave the hospital earlier, but he will pick me up soon. That thought immediately puts a smile on my face. I put the last of my things in the bag and walk to the large window at the side of the room.

From the window you can see the parking lot. A fat black car drives into the parking lot. That's Axel. He had his car repaired immediately when he got out of the hospital. So it is completely beautiful again. He parks the car and gets out. He looks up and catches my gaze. He smiles and waves slightly. I wave back. Axel walks towards the entrance, so I can no longer see him.

"Ready to go back home?" I hear Axel ask as soon as he comes in. I look up at him with a smile and nod. I stand up and give him a quick hug. "I'll carry your bag for you," he says and takes the bag from me. I smile at him. He places his other hand on my lower back and guides me outside.

"So I'll see you again soon," Axel says, a little questioningly. "Definitely, smarty," I chuckle. He's coming closer. A little closer and even closer. When his lips are almost on mine, the door flies open. "Hey Sage, I was just about to go grocery shopping!" Mom says cheerfully. Then Axel notices her. Her look goes from happy to suspicious. I feel my cheeks turn slightly red and I awkwardly scratch the back of my neck. I feel so ashamed. This is so embarrassing. "And you are?" she says, a little irritated. "Axel. Nice to meet you ma'am." He wants to shake her hand, but his hand floats in the air, completely lonely. "Well, um, this will come later. Bye Sage. Axel" she says cheerfully at first and then suspiciously again. I watch her as she drives away in the car. "So see you soon," Axel says and suddenly I feel 2 warm lips on my cheek. I'm startled from my thoughts. Wait, what were we talking about again?

"Houdoe Sage" Axel shouts as he gets into his car. "Bye! Pay attention this time," I chuckle. "Yes, yes, mom," he laughs and gets in. As he drives away I wave again. I turn around and walk inside. I close the red door behind me and lean against it, smiling.

A mirror hangs on the wall. I can see myself in it from here. I've never seen my smile so big. It's almost just a laugh. I push myself off the door and walk upstairs. In my bedroom I throw my bag down on my double bed. Unfortunately, there is also such a thing as school. And we have a math test coming up soon so maybe I should start practicing. I'm really failing hard at math. I sit down on my blue office chair. Okay, that was already a mistake, as soon as I sit on a chair like that, nothing is serious anymore. I start turning in circles and racing around the house with the chair. It's almost the same as when you get a call and you walk around the house with your phone. You only do this with a chair.

I feel 2 hands on my shoulders. I unnoticeably turn down the music on my earphones. I turn around and hit the person behind me hard in the stomach. "Ouch Sage! Do you want me to be in the hospital too?" Meri says while his arms are painfully crossed over his stomach. "Oops, sorry, I'm sorry!" I say shocked and put my hands over my mouth. "Yes it will," he sighs. I get up quickly. "Are you okay?" I ask worriedly. He nods and wraps his arms around my waist. I lose my balance. I fall against Meri, causing him to fall back onto the bed. It's also difficult to stay upright.

I look at Meri. Only now do I realize how close his face is to mine. I immediately become as red as a tomato. "That's not bad," he mutters.
