Pov Sage

Okay here it goes. I start typing.

Do you want to know my answer? Ha ha, bad luck, I'm sorry.

"Okay, but are you okay?" he asks. I nod. "Yes, but I'm not going to school tomorrow," I say. Suddenly I feel very nauseous. I sprint out of bed and run to my bathroom. I'm going to hang above the toilet. I puke it all out. Charming piece, isn't it? I know, but yes, that's part of it. Meri puts one hand on my shoulder and holds my hair back with the other hand.

"Are you okay again?" he asks. I nod absently, putting the glass of water he gave me to my lips. "Good timing today Sage. First getting sick after Axel's message. Now you say school and you have to puke." He laughs a bit. I chuckle softly and carefully walk back to my bed. "Would you like to have something?" he asks, a little concerned. "No thanks" I say and lie back in my bed. I crawl under the covers. "I'll keep you company," he says. He takes off his pants and shirt. "What are you going to do again?" I ask. "Putting on my sweatpants," he laughs. "Owww" I mumble. I should have known. He walks to my closet and pulls out a pair of his sweatpants. He lies down next to me. "What can I do now?" he mutters. "You can learn. We have a test soon." I say softly. "Oh yes, now I'm sick too," he says and fake coughs twice. I shake my head. I lie on my side. Meri puts an arm around me and presses a kiss to my hair. "Good night Sage" he mumbles. He just knew I was going to fall asleep. Oh oh how is that possible. Because seriously he says it and I fall asleep.

I blink. Meri is gone. There is a note on my bedside table. With the little energy I have now I grab the note.

Hey Sage,

I'm back home. My mother needed me. How dare you let me go to school alone tomorrow... But yes, I will come and tell you all the boring stories afterwards. Hey, get well soon or something. I'm not good at writing notes, you know that.

Bye,

Meri.

I smile a little. I put the note back. Immediately the door flies open. Mom, come walk in with a whole tray of stuff. Oh oh. "Hey Sage" she says in a childish voice. "Heyy" I say back tiredly. "I have some tomato soup for you and an apple and orange juice," she rattles off. "How do you know I'm visible?" I mutter. "Meri told me when he left," she says cheerfully. I nod. "But I'm not that hungry. Actually, just not," I say. "Sage, we're going to eat some soup," she immediately says more sternly. I think he suffers from mood swings. She sits down next to me on the bed and puts the tray of food in front of me. Ugh I really don't need food, why doesn't she just understand that. I grab the spoon and take a bite of the tomato soup. Hopefully this will be over as quickly as possible.

"Yes mom, I don't need anything" I mumble. "Are you sure you don't-" she starts. "Nooooo" I sigh. "And also not-" she starts again. "Nope" I say and close my eyes. "Well, okay windshield then. If you want something, just shout." She says and closes the door. Finally some rest.
