Pov Sage

We run upstairs. I pull one of Meri's shirts from his closet. He grabs his pajama pants from his bed. I am changing. When I turn around, Meri is already ready. He walks over to me and throws me over his shoulder. I chuckle. He walks downstairs. We sit on the couch. "I'll grab some food. Are you turning on a movie?" he asks. I nod and grab the remote.

I snuggle up to Meri and yawn. He puts an arm around me. I lay my head on his chest and watch the movie.

I wake up yawning. I'm lying on the couch. Meri has wrapped his arms around me. He's still sleeping. I gently break free from his grasp. I stand and stretch. "Hi sweetie. Awake?" I hear Anna say, walking into the living room. I nod. "Would you like some breakfast?" she asks and walks to the kitchen. "Yes" I answer and follow her to the kitchen.

"Well Sage. Meri never says anything about it. Do you finally have something?" she asks enthusiastically. I chuckle but shake my head. "No, we're just friends" I say and look at the living room where Meri turns over on the couch again. "Shame. It would be good for him to have a girlfriend like you. Not like all those other girls he brings along," she says, sighing. I chuckle and shrug. "Oh dear. I have to arrange the cremation. Here you have some yogurt with muesli," she says and points to a bowl on the counter. I smile at her. She walks away again.

I take a bite of my yogurt. I hear a voice very close behind me. I drop the bowl of yogurt from my hands in fright. It falls to the ground. Strangely enough, the bowl is not broken. Everything is covered in yogurt. "Nice Sage" I hear Meri say. "Oh, it's you," I sigh. "Who were you thinking?" I hear him say laughing. I feel the heat rising to my cheeks. "Ummm" I mumble and look at the tips of my feet. Meri chuckles. I feel 2 fingers under my chin. He makes me look at him again. "You always do that," he says. I look at him questioningly. "Look at your feet if you don't know the answer," he says. "I'm taking a step back. For some reason it became a little too tight for me to be so close to him. I feel Meri's eyes burning into my back questioningly as I walk to the counter. I take a cloth and wet it. I walk back and start cleaning. Meri chuckles and walks away. Not much later he is back with a cloth and helps me.

"Where is Mom anyway?" he asks as we sit in his room. "Arrange cremation," I answer. I see him swallow. I crawl onto his lap. "Do you want me to come too?" I ask him. He smiles and nods. I give him a hug. He wraps his arms tightly around me. The bell is ringing. Meri sighs. I'm getting rid of him. "I'll be right back," he says as he walks out of the room.

It does take a long time. I decided to take a look. I walk down the stairs. I look around the corner of the stairs and see Meri standing there. I look a little next to him. Opposite him stands Mom. I walk towards Meri. I grab one of his hands so he knows I'm there. He turns to me for a moment. "Sage" I hear her say softly. "Please come back home," she says. I sigh. "You can stay," Meri says. "Is he gone?" I ask. Mom nods. "I'll go home for a while," I say. Meri nods. Mom sighs in relief. "I'll just pack my suitcase. Maybe see you later" I say to Meri. He smiles and gives me a quick hug. I smile at him and walk upstairs where my suitcase is.

"My condolences, Meri," I hear Mom say as I walk back into the hallway. "Thank you," Meri says. I cough a little. they both look my way. "This really feels like I'm going somewhere. Very far away" I laugh. "You will too. A house further than me" Meri laughs and picks me up and spins me around in the air. I chuckle. I run my hand through his hair. Everything is messed up. He lets me go. I chuckle and quickly run away. "I'll get you!" I hear Meri calling. I grin and run home laughing with my suitcase with Mom trudging behind me.
