Pov Meri

"Sage I'm sorry. I want out of this argument too," I sigh.

She looks up and she hugs me. My sweater slowly becomes wet from her tears. I gently rub her back. I whisper soothing sounds in her ear.

The sobbing slowly diminishes. She takes her head off my shoulder.

"It'll be fine, okay?" I tell her carefully.

She nods slowly.

"Let's just watch a movie," I smile.

She chuckles softly and nods.

I stand and open her closet doors. I take out a pair of sweatpants and a white t-shirt for me and a pair of black shorts for Sage with a black tank top.

I throw Sage's clothes at her which she catches slightly clumsily. I change and turn to Sage.

Just then she puts on her top. I forgot how good Sage looked...

She pulls on her top further and puts her hair in a loose bun.

She turns back to me. I want to say something, but just then a beep sounds on her phone.

She picks up the thing from her desk and clicks it on. She immediately starts smiling and blushing. I chuckle and pull her phone out of her hands.

"No Meri!" she immediately shouts.

I glance at the screen. It's from Dylan.

You're beautiful

I can't let him deny that, because that's just how I am? It's just not that it makes me very happy right now.

It is Dylan we are talking about.

"Meri. Meri. Please don't get angry. It's nothing. No way," Sage rattles off in mild panic.

I take a deep breath.

Her face is desperate.

"If it makes you happy, I'm happy too," I smile.

I give her back her phone. She looks at me in surprise, but then smiles anyway.

I lift her over my shoulder and walk her downstairs. A soft squeal leaves her mouth, causing a smile to grace my lips.

I missed this.

I've missed her.

I put her down on the couch and plop down next to her. She takes the remote control and turns on the television.

The Netflix logo appears on the screen.

"What shall we watch?" she asks.

"Ooh, I heard that In Your Eyes is very beautiful," she says and looks at me enthusiastically.

All I look at is her.

I don't know what's wrong with me. Everything around me revolves around Sage.

I only half nod when she starts looking at me questioningly.

She turns back to the TV. She turns on the movie and the intro begins;

"I'll get something to eat and drink," I say and stand up.

"I want Ice Tea," she calls after me.

"As if I didn't know that," I call back to her, chuckling.

I grab a tray and two glasses that I fill with Ice Tea. I'll grab a few containers. What do they all have?

Uhmmm...

We go for M&M' crunchy, heartbeakers and paprika pringles.

I fill the bowls and carefully walk back to Sage. I put the tray down on the table and stuffed a few M&Ms into my mouth.

Sage bursts out laughing.

I start laughing on my own.

"What is?" I chuckle with my mouth full.

"You look like a hamster now, with those cheeks," she laughs.

I chuckle and quickly eat the M&Ms.

"You're so nice, aren't you," I smile back.

"Always have been," she chuckles.

I put my arm behind her on the back of the couch.

Sage snuggles against me and breathes in and out in pleasure.

I want this moment to last forever...

Remember when I said I forgot how beautiful Sage was. Well, I know that now.

Her beautiful brown locks, her blue eyes, the freckles on her face.

Not to forget her beautiful full lips.

She watches the film intently.

At the moment the guy is driving a closed car or something. I do not know exactly. I don't really follow the movie anymore.

But that's what you get when you make a film about a strange story about love. I mean, it's not possible that you can see in your own eyes what someone else is really seeing happening. It's a bit of a strange story, but Sage apparently likes it, because her eyes can't take their eyes off the screen.

An impulsive idea occurs to me.

Maybe I should try it differently.

I know she won't mind. Since we've done it several times and I've never heard her complain...

"Sage..." I say.

She looks up at me with a smile. It is now or never.

I lean forward and press my lips to hers.
