Pov Sage

I wake up yawning. I rub my eyes for a moment and then stand up. I walk to my wardrobe. I grab black pants and a blue crop top. I get changed and go to the bathroom. I comb my hair and put it in a ponytail. I quickly brush my teeth and put on some deodorant. I walk back into my room and sling my bag on my back. I run down the stairs.

In hindsight I should not have done that. At the last few steps I trip and fall to the ground. Yes, a nice bite of soil. Mom walks into the hallway. "Sage hurry up. What are you doing on the ground again?" She sighs. "I was hugging the ground." I mumble. She sighs and shakes her head. She turns around and walks back into the living room. I also get up again and go to the kitchen. I'm making a few sandwiches for lunch and now. When I put one in my mouth, someone outside honks. "Sage Meri will be waiting for you outside!" Mom shouts. "Yoo!" I shout back and run to the door. When I'm in the showers I don't see Meri. Axel is at the door. "Are you coming?" he shouts. I grin and run to the car. "I thought I'd come pick you up," he grins. "I usually ride with Meri." I say. "He has the first hour off," he explains to me. "Oh wow then" I say and get in. "Good morning," he smiles at me as soon as I close the door. "Good morning," I smile back. He presses the accelerator and we speed away.

Bleep bleep bleep. Bleep bleep bleep. Ouch my head hurts so much. I try with all my might to open my eyes, but in the end I just barely succeed. "Sage!" I hear Meri calling. Ouchw. I immediately squeeze my eyes closed painfully again. "Oops, sorry," he mumbles. I open my eyes carefully again. Meri hangs his worried head over me. "Are you OK?" he asks. "What happened?" I ask, ignoring his question. "You were in a car accident with Axel," Meri explains. Axel. Where is he? Am I in the hospital? Is he injured too? What do I have? These are all questions that run through my head.

Meri is getting coffee. He doesn't want to go home to sleep so he stays here. With lots of coffee of course. There's a knock on the door. "Come in," I say weakly. The door opens and Axel comes into the room in a wheelchair. "Sage I'm so sorry. If I had seen that car sooner," he rattles off. "It's okay," I smile. He sighs in relief and smiles back. Meri walks back into the room and slaps Axel on the back of the head. "It's also difficult to drive, egg," Meri laughs, making me chuckle softly.

"Good night Sage," Axel smiles. He grabs my hand and kisses it. I smile and feel the warmth rise to my cheeks again. Axel rises away again. Out of the room to his own room. I turn and look at Meri. He makes a barf sound as he puts his finger in his mouth. "Ha ha ha ha" I mumbled. Meri laughs and comes to lie next to me in bed. "That nurse isn't going to like it, but I'm not going to sleep on that shitty mattress." Meri chuckles and wraps his arms around me. I chuckle and shift a little. "And what about the male bitches?" he grins. "You mean Axel don't you?" I chuckle. He nods vigorously. I shrug, but not without blushing a bit. Argh why does it happen that I keep talking about him lately. "Come on, I'm allowed to know, right?" Meri asks, laughing. "My best friend," Meri shouts, laughing. "And my best friend! Have a..." he grins. "Ha ha no" I chuckle in such a sarcastic tone. Meri shakes his head, laughing. "Almost then," he grins. "Eyy almost is not quite yet" I chuckle. "But almost," Meri laughs. "She confesses! She confesses!" he starts shouting, laughing. "Meri, shut up again," I hiss and start hitting him on the chest, which really was of little use. He looks at me with that look, you mean it. I chuckle and nod. He grins and starts tickling me. "Wahahaha!" I laugh. "Oh wait, no ouchw" I mutter painfully when my arm starts to hurt again." Oh sorry Sage are you okay" he asks. I swallow once and nod again. I yawn once and a few seconds later Meri yawns too. "Good night Sage" Sage mumbles. He presses a kiss on my cheek and closes his eyes. I follow his example and not much later I fall into a deep sleep myself.
