The fish-man pirates of Arlong Park

Somewhere at sea, Luffy, Sanji and Yosaku were sailing on a boat, heading to where Nami and the Going Merry went. Sanji: "My... I can't wait to make all kinds of delicious cuisines for Nami... she's so beautiful..." Luffy: "Not only that, she's the best navigator, so Yosaku, are we any closer to her?" Yosaku: "Do you two not realized that the closer we get to big sis Nami and the Going Merry, the closer we are to Arlong park?!" Luffy: "Um... what is that?" Yosaku: "It's the base for the fish-man pirates, lead by Sew Tooth Arlong, the top wanted pirate in the whole East blue, he has a bounty of 20,000,000 berries." Luffy: "Fish-man?" Yosaku: "Yeah, a race that are like us humans, but with the features of fish, they are normally found in the Grand line... but 8 years ago, a fish-man named Jimbei, who also happens to be a member of the 7 warlords of the sea, let Arlong loose here in the East blue..." Luffy: "7 warlords?" Yosaku: "Yeah, pirates that are allied with the marines and the World government." Sanji: "Come on... why would the government let pirates be their allies?" Yosaku: "Well you see, these pirates allied with them so they don't have to be hunted down like normal pirates, in exchange they aid the navy and the government whenever summoned, but they didn't join cause they're weak, they're really strong, and their job is to take out the other pirates... we actually already met one of them, Hawk Eye Mihawk." Luffy: "You're saying there's 6 other guys as powerful as Mihawk?!, wow!" Yosaku: "Yeah... and as I said before, Jimbei is another one of the warlords, he's the one who allowed Arlong and his crew run wild in the East blue..." Sanji: "Just get to the point, why would Nami be at the base of this fish-man in the first place?" Yosaku: "Not sure... maybe going after his bounty, I mean before she took the Merry, she was looking at Arlong's wanted poster." Luffy: "Well... we'll figure it out once we get there." suddenly, something burst out of the water, and it looked like some sort of sea monster with the head of a cow. Yosaku: "Ah!, sea monster!" Sanji: "A sea cow monster?, this is weird..." Yosaku: "What's it doing here in the East blue?!, they only dwell in the Grand line!" asked Yosaku in shock, before the monster tried to attack the group, only for it to get beaten to a pulp by Luffy and Sanji. Luffy: "Huh... that wasn't so tough..." Sanji: "For a sea monster, it sure was weak." Yosaku: "Whoa..." said Yosaku in awe, shocked to see two people able to take on a sea monster without much trouble at all. Meanwhile, on an island that was the location of a place called Cocoyasi village, there was Arlong park, the base of the fish-man pirates, lead by Arlong (voiced by Chris Rager), who was currently doing business with a greedy marine officer named Coronal Nezumi (voiced by Vic Mignogna), a man with whiskers like a rat. Arlong: "So... as promised, 20,000,000 berries." Nezumi: "Thank you Arlong, now I better be off, last thing I need is someone finding out our little business." Arlong: "No we can't have that at all, now I'll send Hachi to help you get back to your base." said Arlong, before an octopus fish-man named Hachi (voiced by George Manley), came to the scene. Hachi: "Nyu, ready for departure, and I must say coronal, every day you look more like a rat." said Hachi with a laugh. Arlong: "Hachi, be nice, he's our guest after all." Hachi: "Oh right, sorry about that." Nezumi: "No worries, I've heard worse, and I know better than to get on a fish-man's bad side." Arlong: "How true." Hachi: "Alright everyone, hold on tight." said Hachi, before the marines and Nezumi went into a big basket, and Hachi carries it on his back while swimming out of Arlong park and into the coronal's base. After Hachi and the marines left, Kuroobi (voiced by Patrick Seitz), another fish-man, came to the scene. Kuroobi: "I don't get it Arlong, why do we have to do business with those marines?" Arlong: "They might be inferior humans, but if we bribe them enough, they'll keep the other marines out of our business, after all... money is a very powerful tool, and humans are weak against it, just like a certain girl we know." Kuroobi: "Fair enough..." elsewhere on the island, Johnny, Usopp, and Zoro were walking down a path that lead them to a town that had buildings that seemed to have been flipped upside down. Usopp: "What the heck happened here...?" Johnny: "I've heard someone made Arlong mad and he went berserk..." Zoro: "You mean the fish-man did this all by himself?" Johnny: "Yeah... there are rumors that fish-man are supposed to be a few times stronger than a normal human... but I never thought of them being true until now..." that was when they ran into a young woman named Nojiko (voiced by Tiffany Grant), who happens to be Nami's older adopted sister. When she took the trio into her home, to avoid getting them spotted by the fish-man, she was surprised to learn why they came to the island. Nojiko: "So... Nami was in your crew?" Zoro: "Yeah, and our captain wants her back." Nojiko: "Easier said than done... as she's really part of Arlong's crew for 8 years now." Usopp: "What?!, she's with the fish-man pirates?!" Nojiko: "Yeah... not by choice though... she has to serve them until she can collect 100,000,000 berries to buy the village back from Arlong... and she's been saving up the money she took from other pirates for the passed 8 years..." Johnny: "Really...?" Nojiko: "Yeah... and this used to be Bellemere's home... the woman who adopted me and Nami when we were little... who got killed by Arlong right before our very eyes..." Zoro: "And I'm guessing he took Nami as his crew mate when he found out about her map skills, right?" Nojiko: "Yeah... and since then... she's been saving up to free our village..." Johnny: "Poor big sis Nami..." Zoro: "Well... we better tell Luffy the situation... as soon as he comes here." Usopp: "How's he gonna react?" Zoro: "Don't know... but he needs to know what's going on, and soon." said Zoro, before he, Usopp and Johnny went off to who knows where. Back at the shore, Luffy was using his Gum Gum Rocket to send the boat he's on flying to land, only for it to go too far on land and crashed into a marshland, where Zoro and the others were, much to their surprise. Luffy: "Hey guys, did you find Nami yet?" Zoro: "Not exactly, but we did find out why she took the Merry here." Usopp: "Yeah... you might wanna sit down for this." said Usopp, before Luffy sat down, listening what Zoro's group had to say about what they learned from Nojiko. Back in Arlong park, the fish-man were talking to their captain, who just got word from Nami that she's almost got enough money to buy back her village. Hachi: "Is it really true that Nami's really close to getting enough money to leave?" Arlong: "Unfortunately yes, but that was the deal we made, so there's nothing I can do about it... well not me anyway." Hachi: "Nyu?, what do you mean?" Arlong: "Let's just say... the marines don't let thieves like her keep all that money." said Arlong with an evil smile on his face, while Hachi felt a little uneasy by what his captain said. Sometime later, Nami paid Nojiko a little visit, when the sheriff of Cocoyasi village, named Genzo (voiced by Bill Flynn), came to the scene with Coronal Nezumi and his marine soldiers. Genzo thought the marines were here to deal with Arlong, but he was shocked when Nezumi revealed that he was here for the money that Nami collected for the passed 8 years, much to Nami's shock and horror. Nami: "You can't take that treasure!, it's..." Genzo: "That money's for our town's freedom!" Nami: "What... you knew?" Genzo: "Yeah... the whole village knew... sorry we kept it a secret for so long..." Nezumi: "You should know that it's against the law to aid thieves, now hand over the 96,000,000 berries or else." Genzo: "Wait... how did you know it was that much?!" Nezumi: "Oh... lucky guess..." said Nezumi with an evil smile, while Nami widened her eyes in horror, realizing one thing. Nami: "It was him!, Arlong sent you here!, wasn't it?!" Nezumi: "Maybe... maybe not... that depends on how much you'll pay me..." Genzo: "Corrupted marine scum!" Nojiko: "How could the navy become errand boys for pirates like Arlong?!" shouted Nojiko, before Nezumi just shot her on the shoulder with his gun, much to Nami and Genzo's shock and horror. While Nami and Genzo were busy helping Nojiko, the marines found and taken the treasure and left. While Genzo took Nojiko to the village's doctor, Nami ran to Arlong park and complained to Arlong about what happened with the marines. Arlong simply said that if she lost her money, then she'll have to keep working for him, much to her horror and dismay. Once she ran off crying, Hachi couldn't help but felt terrible. Hachi: "Nyu... Arlong... don't you think you're taking this a little bit too far?" Arlong: "Why would you care?, she's a mere human who makes maps and charts we need to rule the East blue." Hachi: "I know but... something tells me that this isn't what Fisher Tiger wanted..." Arlong: "You fool!, Fisher Tiger is gone because of the humans!, so now it's our turn to make them suffer!" Hachi: "Oh Arlong..." said Hachi in a sad tone in his voice. Back with the Straw hats, they see a lot of the townsfolk looking upset. Luffy: "Hey... what happened?" Genzo: "That accursed Arlong, he never intended to keep his word... he sent a group of marines to steal all her well earned money... and they shot Nojiko!" Sanji: "What?!, those marines shot a lady?!" Genzo: "Yes... it's obvious that there's no more hope for our freedom... so now it's time we head to Arlong park and fight them all... we might get killed there... but it's better than spend the rest of our lives as Arlong's slaves!" said Genzo, before he and the townsfolk head off to Arlong park with as many weapons they can carry. It was then they saw Nami, who fell to her knees, and started stabbing the Arlong tattoo on her arm with a knife, until Luffy stopped her. Nami: "What are you doing here?" asked Nami in a sad and angry tone. Luffy: "I came for you Nami... the others told me why you took the Merry... why you work for Arlong and everything... I'm sorry about what happened to Bellemere..." Nami: "Yeah... who doesn't?, but that doesn't matter... everyone is gonna die... and there's nothing I can do about it..." Luffy: "Yeah there is... you got my and the others... just ask." said Luffy, as Nami continued to cry a little, before looking at him with tears in her eyes. Nami: "Luffy... help me..." said Nami, before Luffy placed his straw hat on her head, much to her surprise as she never saw him let anyone touch his hat before, let alone let someone else wear it. Luffy: "Of course I'll help... that's what friends do... [breath in deeply]... HE'S GONNA PAY!!!" shouted Luffy in the last line, which left Nami gasp in amazement. Nami: "Luffy... everyone..." Luffy: "Alright... let's go." Zoro, Sanji and Usopp: "Right." said the crew, before they and Luffy walked off to Arlong park. As for Johnny and Yosaku, they went to the entrance of Arlong park to keep the townsfolk from attacking so they don't get hurt by the fish-men inside. Johnny: "Sorry everyone, but we can't let you go in." Yosaku: "You're no match for the fish-men." Genzo: "We're aware... but we have to make them pay for what they did to Nami and everything." Johnny: "Don't worry, for some certain men are coming." Genzo: "What certain men?" Yosaku: "Those certain men." said Yosaku, before everyone turned around to see Luffy and his crew coming their way. Nojiko, who was able to walk again while wearing a bandage on her arm, was surprised to see them. Nojiko: "It's them... the ones that came for Nami..." Genzo: "Those kids?" Yosaku: "If they can't take down Arlong and his gang, then there's no hope for not only for this island but for the whole East blue." Johnny: "Those men are here to change your destiny, remember their names and faces forever." said Johnny, as Luffy and his crew arrived to the gates to Arlong park. It wasn't long before Luffy threw some punches that took down the gates, much to Arlong's shock and surprise. Arlong: "What the?!" Luffy: "Now which one of you... is Arlong?" asked Luffy, glaring at the fish-men. Arlong: "That would be me... who are you?" Luffy: "Me?... I'm Luffy... a pirate that's gonna make you pay for making Nami cry!" said Luffy, before he ran up to Arlong, and gave him a big punch in the face, sending the fish-man flying into a wall, much to the fish-man pirates' shock. Sanji: "Hey Luffy, save some for me, okay?" Luffy: "Sure... but Arlong's mine." Sanji: "Sounds fair to me." Usopp: "Well... I don't mind if you take all the action..." said Usopp, before Arlong got back on his feet and ordered Hachi to call out someone named Moo-moo, which turned out to be the sea cow monster that Luffy and Sanji dealt with earlier. The monster was scared by the sight of Luffy at first, but then Arlong called him a coward, which made him mad and gave him the courage to attack. But Luffy then stretched out his arms and stomped his feet into the ground, before spinning himself and the monster around like a pinwheel. It wasn't long before Luffy finally let go of Moo-moo, who was then sent flying into the sky and out of the scene. Sanji: "You idiot!, give us a warning before you do something that!" Usopp: "Seriously!, you could have killed us too!" Luffy: "Uh oh... um... guys... I think I'm stuck..." said Luffy, struggling to get his feet out of the ground. Usopp: "What did you think was gonna happened?!" Sanji: "Oh great... looks like I picked one heck of an idiot for a captain..." Zoro: "We all did..." Sanji: "Oh well... it's much better to have an idiot like Luffy to be my captain rather than a jerk who would have the nerve to make a lady cry." said Sanji, before he goes to fight Kuroobi, while Zoro fights off Hachi and Usopp gets chased by a fish-man named Chew. Arlong then drills his hand into the ground where Luffy's feet were, and picks up the young pirate and the now formed rock, before throwing them both into the water. Back with Nami, she was putting a bandage around her shoulder, before running to Arlong park in hopes to join the fight. Sanji gave Kuroobi the kicking of his life as payback for the fish-man having the nerve to call Nami worthless and plans to kill her if she rebels. Zoro, despite his recent injury from his duel with Mihawk, he was able to beat Hachi when Johnny and Yosaku gave him their swords. As for Usopp, he was able to take down Chew when he used a bottle of alcohol and a burned up match to set him on fire, before using a hammer to hit him on the head many times. Back in Arlong park, Sanji went underwater and saw that Genzo and Nojiko were trying to help Luffy by keeping his head out of the water, which was easy as his neck can be stretched out, while getting the water out of his lungs. The cook then used his leg to kick the rock into many pieces, allowing Luffy to free himself at last. The battle between Luffy and Arlong continues again, and during the battle, Arlong's eyes went very intense, which scared a lot of the townsfolk as they never seen them like that before. Nami came just in time to see Arlong using a large blade against Luffy, and the two pirates went up to the top level of the Arlong park building. Nami: "That's... the chart room..." said Nami to herself. Back with Luffy, he was looking at the room in confusion. Luffy: "What is this place?" Arlong: "This is the room where I forced Nami to make the maps and charts I need to rule the East blue, so now can you see why I can't let Nami go, you can never use her better than me, she'll forever be my tool." said Arlong, before Luffy grabbed the blade, and somehow managed to shatter it from the grip, much to Arlong's shock as Luffy let out a very angry glare. Luffy: "Use her?... a tool...?... you rotten fish-man... what the heck do you take her for?!" shouted Luffy, before he began to throw some kicks and punches all over the room, destroying all of the maps and charts that Arlong forced Nami to make in the passed 8 years. Outside of the building, everyone was confused, but to Nami, she can see that Luffy was freeing her from the accursed charts and maps that Arlong forced her to make. Back inside the building, Luffy was getting ready for one more attack. Arlong: "Do you have any idea how long it took to make those maps and charts?!" Luffy: "No... and I don't care... but I finally figured out how to save Nami... this place is nothing more but her jail cell... and there's only one way for her to escape... I gotta tore this place apart!" Arlong: "You fool!, Arlong park will not fall by some mere human, especially not by a rubbery freak like you!, Shark tooth drill!" Luffy: "Gum Gum Battle Axe!" shouted the two pirates, as Arlong opens his jaws and spins around like a drill while Luffy stretches his let out to reach the sky. Before Arlong could bite Luffy, the young human pirate brings down his leg and kicks the fish-man down all the way to the bottom of the building, which began to fall apart from the shockwave of the impact. Nami: "Luffy!" screamed Nami in concern. Once the building was nothing more than a pile of rubble, Luffy burst out, and shouted something to Nami. Luffy: "...Nami!, you'll always be my friend!" shouted Luffy, before Nami started to cry a little with a smile. Nami: "... Yeah..." Genzo: "He won...?" Nojiko: "He won..." Johnny and Yosaku: "Big bro Luffy won!" soon, everyone started to cheer in joy, celebrating to the fact that the Arlong pirates were defeated, meaning that they were finally free. Nami then gave Luffy back his hat, and the two then high five one another. That was when Nezumi came to the scene, and ordering the townsfolk to drop the weapons and saying he will take all the credit for defeating Arlong, before Zoro and the other straw hats beat the living pulp out of him and the other marines. That was when Nami came up to the marine coronal. Nami: "This is for hurting Nojiko, and destroying Bellemere's tangerine orchard..." said Nami, before using a bo staff to hit the coronal in the face. Nojiko: "Nice work sis." Genzo: "A thousand more and we'll call it even!" shouted Genzo, before Nezumi got out of the water, and he was mad. Nezumi: "You accursed pirates!, mark my words, you'll pay for this, I promise you that!, major things are gonna happen!" said Nezumi, before he and his marine soldiers left the scene. Luffy: "How did he knew I'm gonna be king of the pirates?" Zoro: "That's not what he meant at all!, are you really that dumb?!" Usopp: "Hold on, does this mean we're in some kind of big trouble or what?!" Nami: "Who cares... good riddance... that rotten marine..." Genzo: "Nami... these people who defeated Arlong... who are they?" Nami: "Simple... they're my friends... and my crew." meanwhile, Nezumi went to his base to make a call to Marine HQ, telling them about Luffy and demanding a bounty on the pirate's head. Back on Cocoyasi village, everyone was having a party, celebrating their new freedom, especially the Straw hats. Nami got a new tattoo on her shoulder, to replace the Arlong one, a tattoo that looked like a pinwheel with a tangerine. The orange haired girl went to Bellemere's grave, along with Nojiko and Genzo. Nami: "Hey Genzo... if I wanted to be pirate... would Bellemere let me?" Genzo: "What?!, of course not, why would you think that?" Nami: "Well, would she be able to stop me?" Nojiko: "No... like no one was able to stop her from joining the marines long ago." Genzo: "I take it you wanna be a pirate because of your friends?" Nami: "Well... they are my friends... besides those guys have no navigating skills, they'd be lost without me." Nojiko: "Well that figures." said Nojiko with a laugh. Genzo: "You sure have grown so much... it feels like only yesterday you were a little baby who always shows a wonderful smile whenever you see that pinwheel I put on my hat so you wouldn't cry by my face for some reason." Nami: "Well you do have a face that would scare a kid." Genzo: "I do not!... but anyway... those men you're going with... they better not try anything to hurt ya." Nami: "Oh come on... they're nothing like Arlong and his crew, and if they try anything... I would just knock some sense into them." said Nami, which made Nojiko laugh. Genzo: "Hey that reminds me, there's a marine ship coming this way to arrest both Arlong and his crew, so I think it's best you better sail before they show up." Nami: "Good to know." sometime later, it was finally time for the Straw Hats to go. Zoro: "So you two are going back to being bounty hunters?" Johnny: "Yeah, that's what we do best." Yosaku: "Good luck on becoming the world's greatest swordsman." Zoro: "And good luck on being the best bounty hunters in the whole East blue." said Yosaku, before Zoro goes back to the Going Merry, along with the rest of the Straw hats. It wasn't long before Nami came to the scene and jumped to the ship, but then showed that she had a lot of wallets coming out of her pockets. Turns out that Nami stole everyone's wallets, much to the townsfolk's shock. Nami: "Thanks a bunch!" All: "You little thief!" shouted the townsfolk, before Nojiko and Genzo began to laugh. Genzo: "Ah, ha, ha, ha!, we'll miss ya!" Nami: "Bye!" Luffy: "See ya!" so with that, the Straw Hats sail away on the Going Merry, with Nami as an official member this time.
