Escape from Logue town

It was a sunny day when the Going Merry arrived to the island where Logue town was located, and the crew departed from the ship to take a look. Usopp: "So this is Logue town, huh?" Nami: "Yup, the city of the beginning and the end, where Gold Roger, the king of the pirates, was both born and executed..." Sanji: "Let's hope there's some good food here." Zoro: "Not to mention swords..." Luffy: "Where's the execution platform?" Nami: "It should be in the center of the town somewhere." Luffy: "Okay." said Luffy, before he makes a run for it into town, trying to find the execution platform where Gold Roger passed away. Usopp: "Um... shouldn't we be worried about Luffy...?" Sanji: "I'm sure he'll be fine, he did managed to take down Arlong and Don Krieg, so I'm sure he can handle whatever is on this island." Zoro: "Well if any of you need me, I'll go look for a place to get new swords." said Zoro, before he ran off to who knows where. Nami: "Usopp, you come with me." Usopp: "Um... okay, but where are we going?" Nami: "Isn't it obvious?, we're gonna get some clothes, after all, we can't sail in old rags." Usopp: "But what about the stuff we actually need?" Nami: "We'll get that after we get some clothes." Usopp: "Well... okay..." said Usopp, as he follows Nami into the town, while Sanji goes off on his own to buy some food for the trip to the Grand line. Back with Zoro, he was already lost, before he saw a woman with a sword trying to fight some pirates but had a hard time beating them due to her glasses were taken by one of the pirates. Zoro came over and taken down the pirates in a few seconds flat, and went over to the woman. Once he gave the lady back her glasses however, he was shocked, for the lady looked like a grown up version of Kuina, Zoro's dead childhood rival. Her name was Tashigi (voiced by Monica Rial), and she was with the marines as well, so Zoro had to keep a low profile around her. It wasn't long before the pair got to a sword shop, as Tashigi helped Zoro to find it as to thank him for helping her earlier, and Zoro was trying to pick out two swords. One of the swords he picked out was a cursed one, called Kitetsu the third, and the swordsman test out his luck with it, by tossing up into the air and spread his arm out to see if the sword deems him worthy. The sword missed his arm, which meant that the cursed sword accepts Zoro as it's wielder. Tashigi and the owner of the shop were shocked and amazed by what they witnessed, before the shop owner decided to give Zoro another good sword, called Yubashiri, for free as he can see that Zoro is a true swordsman. Back with Sanji, he was still shopping, before he saw something that caught his eye. Before him was a large fish with a trunk and tusks of an elephant called an Elephant tuna, which is normally found in the South blue, but sometimes fish from other seas ended up in the waters of Logue town after swimming up the waters of Reverse Mountain. Sanji bought it, looking forward to cook it for the crew. With Usopp and Nami, the pair were at a shop, buying all kinds of clothes, mostly for Nami of course. While shopping of course, they heard some people talking about the Marine captain that's in charge of Logue town, one who is called Captain Smoker and is said to have devil fruit powers, which made the two Straw Hat pirates feel a little uneasy. It wasn't long before they got to another shop that some stuff that Usopp will need for his snipping skills, like a pair of special goggles for example. Elsewhere in town, Buggy and his small crew, with Alvida as well, were hiding in the shadows, wearing cloaks so they wouldn't attract unwanted attention while looking for Luffy. Buggy: "Where is that Straw hat...?" Mohji: "No clue, but he has to come here before going to the Grand line, right?" Buggy: "Correct... boy this place brings back some old memories of my captain..." Cabaji: "Your captain?" Buggy: "Yes... back when I was a cabin boy many years ago... never thought I would be back here... but never mind that, we have to find Straw hat before he could make a get away... speaking of which, Mohji, I want you to find Straw Hat's ship and burn it, just in case he escapes from my grasp." Mohji: "You got it." said Mohji, before he and Richie went off to begin their search for the Going Merry, while Buggy, Cabaji and Alvida continue their search for Luffy. Speaking of which, Luffy finally found the execution platform, and he stood on top of it to see what Gold Roger saw just before his execution. That was when Alvida came to the scene and looked up at the platform. Alvida: "Well it looks like I finally found you Straw hat." Luffy: "Huh?, do I know you?" Alvida: "Now come on, don't tell me that you have forgotten my face." Luffy: "Uh... well I never saw your face before." Alvida: "Well I have not forgotten you, the man who punched me on the stomach." Luffy: "What?!, I didn't hit you!, I've never even met you!" Alvida: "Oh we did met before, back when you and Coby were on my ship, the ship of the Alvida pirates." Luffy: "Huh?, Alvida?, you were in Alvida's crew?" Alvida: "You idiot!, I am Alvida!" Luffy: "Are you sure?, cause you don't look like her..." Alvida: "Well I guess I have changed a little after eating the Devil fruit called the Smooth Smooth fruit, which made my skin super slippery, so any attack that hits me slips right off... and it made figure look more lovely too." Luffy: "Yeah... that's what derailed me..." Alvida: "After getting a new look, I teamed up with another certain pirate who had the same goal on finding you." said Alvida, before Buggy the clown himself, came to the scene. Buggy: "Straw hat!, you'll gonna pay for what you did to me back at Orange town, because of you I lost most of my beloved crew!, and now I will make you pay!" Luffy: "Um... sorry, who are you again?, you look familiar... uh... oh yeah!, you're Buffoon right?" Buggy: "Uh... Buffoon?!, you got some nerve, you rubber brained idiot!, and now Buggy the clown is gonna make you pay for that!" Luffy: "Oh yeah!, Buggy, so how are you doing?" Buggy: "You mean you now just remembered?!" shouted Buggy in annoyance, before Cabaji trapped Luffy in a stockade. Luffy: "Hey what the?!, what is this?!" Cabaji: "It's a gift from Buggy himself." Buggy: "Well done Cabaji, finally, I will get my revenge on you Straw Hat, you should feel honored as you're about to be executed on the same spot as the King of the pirates did!" said Buggy with an evil laugh, while Luffy struggles to break free from the stockade. Back with the other Straw hats, they came back together, but noticed that Luffy was nowhere to be found. Nami: "Where's Luffy?" Sanji: "He must be at the execution platform still." Usopp: "I'm getting worried guys, what if something happened to him?" Zoro: "Maybe he got lost." that was when they heard some of the townsfolk running away, screaming Buggy's name. Nami: "What did they say?" Zoro: "I think they said Buggy..." Usopp: "Wait... as in Buggy the clown?!" Nami: "What's that clown doing here?" Sanji: "Hey, wasn't Buggy a pirate that Luffy took down before me and Usopp joined the crew?" Nami: "Yeah... and if he's here... then he must have come for revenge." Zoro: "Yeah... and from what the townsfolk freaking out, he can't be too far away." said Zoro, before someone in the crowd said something about Buggy getting ready to execute Luffy. Usopp: "Luffy... about to be executed?!" Sanji: "That idiot!" Nami: "Zoro, you and Sanji go get Luffy!, Usopp and I should head back to the Going Merry!" Sanji: "You got it." said Sanji, before he and Zoro run off to rescue Luffy, while Nami and Usopp run off to the Going Merry. Nami: "We have to get to the Merry before the Marines find it!" Usopp: "What?!" Nami: "With what's going on with Buggy, the marines will sure to take action to keep him and us from escaping, meaning they'll most likely dismantle the ships." Usopp: "You mean the Going Merry's in danger?!, then let's go!, I'm coming Merry!" cried out Usopp, as he and Nami make a run for it, while Nami looked up at the sky, sensing that a storm is coming somehow. Meanwhile, at a building in front of the town plaza, where the execution platform was located, Tashigi was with another marine, who was in fact the marine captain of Logue town, Captain Smoker himself (voiced by Greg Dulcie). Tashigi: "Captain Smoker, it looks like we got three big name pirates at the plaza..." Smoker: "I can see that myself... Straw Hat Luffy, Buggy the Clown, and Iron club Alvida..." Tashigi: "And it looks like Buggy and Alvida are about to execute Straw hat, should we attack?" Smoker: "Not yet, wait till after Straw hat gets his head chop off, and then we make our move." Tashigi: "Understood sir." back with Luffy, he was still struggling to break free, while Buggy prepares his sword. Buggy: "Now Straw Hat... any last words before you die?" Luffy: "... Listen!, I'M THE MAN WHO WILL BE KING OF THE PIRATES!" shouted Luffy with an echo in his voice that shocked everyone in the area, not expected to hear such words from someone who was about to be killed. Zoro: "Stop this execution!" shouted Zoro, who along with Sanji came to the scene. Luffy: "Zoro!, Sanji!, hey guys!" said Luffy with a smile, while Tashigi and Smoker were surprised. Tashigi: "That's Zoro?" Smoker: "Well he has 3 swords... and Straw hat called him Zoro, so that's him... not sure who the other one is... must be another member of Straw Hat's crew..." said Smoker, who was more focused on Luffy. Buggy: "How nice of you to join the party Zoro, but you're just a wee bit too late!" said Buggy, as he lifts up his sword, getting ready to chop Luffy's head. Luffy: "Zoro!, Sanji!, Usopp!, Nami!... sorry, but I'm dead." said Luffy with a smile, as Buggy's sword was only a few inches close to his neck. Time seems to slow down as everyone was shocked to see that a lightning bolt came down from the sky and hits the execution platform, causing it to fall over. Due to having a body made of rubber, Luffy was not harmed, and was still alive and well. Buggy was a bit smoked from the lightning, but he was still alive of course. Everyone in the plaza were shocked by this miracle, though not as much as Smoker, who couldn't believed that Luffy smiled just before he was about to die. Sanji: "Whoa..." Zoro: "Come on, we better get out of here while we still have the chance, this place is about to have a lot of marines." said Zoro, who was right as a lot of marines started to show up at the scene. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji began to make a run for it as rain started to pour down from the sky. Back at the Going Merry, Mohji and Richie were trying to light up a match in hopes to burn the ship, but the rain was making that impossible. Mohji: "Oh of all times for it to rain..." that was when Nami and Usopp came to the scene. Nami: "Oh no... it's Mohji!" Usopp: "I'm guessing he's an enemy..." Nami: "Yeah, he's on Buggy's crew." said Nami, before Mohji noticed the pair. Mohji: "Well if it isn't the little thief who stole the map of the Grand line, perfect, while Captain Buggy gets rid of Straw Hat, I'll get rid of you, Richie, sick 'em!" called out Mohji, before the lion begins to charge towards the Straw Hat pair. Usopp fires an egg from his slingshot, and Richie stopped and starts eating the scrambled egg on the ground. Nami: "Nice work." Usopp: "Oh uh... yeah, I totally did that on purpose." Mohji: "Richie!, knock it off!, I'll feed you later!, attack the straw hats!" Nami: "I don't think so!" said Nami, before hitting Mohji in the face with her bo staff, knocking him out cold. Back with Luffy's group, they were on the run, heading for the Going Merry, when Tashigi came in front of them and attacked Zoro. Tashigi: "You got some nerve on tricking me!" Zoro: "What are you talking about?" Tashigi: "You lied to me about who you are!" Zoro: "Hold on, you never asked me who I was, so I didn't lied to you." Tashigi: "Well either way, I will not allow a pirate like you have that sword." Zoro: "If you want my swords, you'll have to beat me first." Tashigi: "Fine by me!" said Tashigi, before she and Zoro begin their duel, while Sanji and Luffy continued running. Not long after separated from Zoro, Luffy and Sanji had a run in with Smoker himself. Luffy: "Who's that?" Smoker: "Straw Hat Luffy... you're finally here... if you planned on heading to the Grand line... you have to get through me first..." Luffy: "Fine by me, Sanji, you go on ahead, I'll take care of this guy." Sanji: "Alright then." said Sanji, before he continues to run, while Luffy stayed behind to face Smoker as rain started to pour down even harder than before. Elsewhere in the town, there was a man in a green cloak, who was named Dragon (voiced by Bryan Massey), and he was the most wanted man of the entire world. Dragon: "A pirate eh?... fine by me..." said Dragon, who was talking about Luffy for some reason. Back with Luffy, he was fighting Smoker, who was impossible to hit as he ate the Smoke Smoke fruit, which made his body turn into smoke. Luffy was struggling before Smoker caught him and pinned him to the ground. Smoker: "Ha, your luck's run out." said Smoker, before he attempted to pull out his Jitte, only to be stopped by Dragon himself. Dragon: "I wouldn't be so sure about that." Smoker: "It's you... Dragon... what are you doing here?... you know what, it doesn't matter, now the government will have your head." Dragon: "The world... is still waiting for our answer..." said Dragon, before a powerful gust of green wind came and blew Luffy away from Smoker. The green blew Zoro and Sanji away right into the Going Merry, reuniting with both Nami and Usopp. It wasn't long before Luffy landed onto the Merry as well, much to the relief of his crew. Nami: "You're all here!, thank goodness..." Zoro: "What's with this wind?" Usopp: "Who cares?, as long as it can get us away from the navy." Sanji: "That's for sure." Luffy: "I wonder who that guy was..." Nami: "What guy?" Luffy: "The guy who stopped that Smokey guy from catching me... whoever he was... he saved my life..." said Luffy, as the Going Merry sailed away in the ocean while the storm rages on. Back in Logue town, Smoker and Tashigi watched the Going Merry sailing away. Smoker: "Ready the ship, we're going after them... we're off to the Grand line." Tashigi: "But sir... we can't just leave our post, what would Navy HQ say?" Smoker: "Tell them that I don't care about orders." Tashigi: "I see... well can you take me with you?, I have to find and take down Zoro!" Smoker: "Fine by me." said Smoker, as he and Tashigi go get some navy soldiers and get a ship ready to sail after the Straw hats. Elsewhere, Buggy, Alvida, Mohji, Cabaji and Richie got back to their ship and sailed away out to sea. Buggy: "That was some flashy gust of wind... it allowed us to escape from the navy..." Alvida: "Where are we going now?" Buggy: "To the Grand line." Cabaji and Mohji: "What?!" Buggy: "Of course, that's where Straw hat's going, so that's where we'll get him." said Buggy with an evil laugh as a lightning bolt flashed through the sky. Back at the Going Merry, Sanji placed a barrel on the ground, and put his foot on it, before the others joined him. Sanji: "I'm gonna find the All blue." Nami: "I'm gonna draw a map of the whole world." Usopp: "To be a brave warrior of the sea." Zoro: "To be the world's best swordsman." Luffy: "I'm gonna be king of the pirates!" All: "Now we're off... to the Grand line!" shouted the Straw hats, as the Going Merry sails away through the seas.
