The base of the Flying Fish Riders

At Marine HQ, fleet Admiral Sengoku (voiced by Ed Blaylock), was not happy at all, for he learned that the Straw Hats were still alive, and he was standing in front of Kuma and Garp, who were both sitting on a coach. Sengoku: "This has to be some joke!, you better have a good reason why you didn't finished them at Thriller Bark when you had the chance, Kuma..." Garp: "What's the big deal?, it's only my grandson's crew." Sengoku: "Those Straw Hats are a threat to the government, I mean not only do they have Nico Robin, but they had the nerve to burn down the flag of the World government!, and not too long ago, they took down another one of the Seven Warlords of the sea and Shiki the Golden Lion!" Garp: "You're saying like that's a bad thing, I mean sure Luffy took down Moria, but he won't go bragging about it, who would believe him anyway, plus if my grandson didn't faced Shiki... then the whole East blue would have been destroyed." Sengoku: "While that might be true, it won't change the fact that he's still a criminal that won't change course, and speaking of which, if they keep following their Log Pose, the Straw Hats will be at Marine HQ in no time!" Garp: "Oh come on, what reason would they come here?, we don't have a crew member of theirs at the moment, so they won't try anything on us." Sengoku: "Maybe not... but we do have something that Straw Hat has a connection with... and you know who I'm talking about." Garp: "Yeah... that's true... though I wished it wasn't..." said Garp, who felt down as he was thinking of the certain person that's locked up and waiting to be executed at the moment. Elsewhere in the Grand Line, the Thousand Sunny continues to sail to the next island, which is Fish-man island. Conis was practicing her new ability with her wings, and Sanji volunteered to catch her if she falls. Chopper: "Hey Conis, are you sure you should be doing this?" Conis: "Of course, if I can make my wings work on flying better, I can help out more in the future." Sanji: "And don't worry about falling, I'm right here to catch you." Conis: "Thanks Sanji, that's real kind of you... well... here I go." said Conis, before she jumps off the roof of the crow's nest and let her small wings grow into bigger versions of themselves, before flapping them a bit to make her fly. However, it wasn't long before she got tired and started to fall, only for Sanji to catch her in time. Sanji: "You did great Conis, you'll be able to fly in no time like the angel you are." Conis: "You always know what to say to a lady, don't ya?" asked Conis, making Sanji blush and have a goofy expression of his face. That was when Chopper noticed something up ahead of the ship, which looked like a giant red rocky wall. Chopper: "Ah!, there's a re wall of rock in front of us!" hearing that made the other Straw Hats to come on deck, and they were amazed. Luffy: "Is that..." Nami: "Yeah... that's the Red line... we made it..." Conis: "The Red line?" Vivi: "It's supposed to be a large continent that ground around the world from north to south, like how the Grand line goes around the world from east to west, and since this is the Red line... it means we made it to the end of the fist half of our trip around the world..." Conis: "Amazing..." Chopper: "Wow... I can't even see the top..." Franky: "The first time I encountered the Red line was when I was a baby born from the South blue... but seeing it means a lot more to me now." Robin: "I saw it when I left the West blue a few years ago... but it's still breathtaking even now..." Brook: "Hello Red line... sorry to keep you waiting after all these years... it won't be much longer now Laboon..." Usopp: "Wow... it feels like it's been forever since we last saw it..." Sanji: "Yeah, we went though a lot of adventures since we entered..." Zoro: "Only one more half to go now..." Luffy: "The New World... the second half of the Grand line is on the other side... and it's waiting for us to sail in..." Nami: "And the Log Pose is pointing down... meaning Fish-Man island is right below us..." Franky: "Super, this is the perfect to time show off Shark Submerge 3." said Franky, before Luffy, Brook and Robin went into a submarine that looks like a shark, and it seems that the Thousand Sunny's Klabautermann can see what the submarine is seeing through it's painted eyes somehow. Sunny: "Wow, it sure is dark down there..." Usopp: "How can you even see through the eyes of the submarine, they're just painted for showing..." Sunny: "Beats me... but as long as they're supposed to be eyes, and a part of the ship, I can see see through them... although there's not much down there to see... just darkness..." Franky: "Oh man... if they go any deeper, the water pressure could crush the Shark submerge..." said Franky, before the Shark submerge came out of the water, and a rabbit like sea king burst out of the water as well. Luffy was able to knock it out with just one punch though, however, something or someone or two flew out of it's mouth, and one of them landed on top of Sanji. The Straw Hats got a better look and see that one of the objects that came out of the sea king's mouth was what seemed to be a talking Star fish named Papagu (voiced by Chris Cason), and the other one that landed on Sanji turned out to be a mermaid, much to their surprise. The mermaid in question was named Camie (voiced by Megan Shipman), and she was checking on Sanji, who was blushing and his showed eye was a heart. Camie: "Oh my gosh!, I'm so sorry!, are you okay?!" Sanji: "Ah... I'm great... seeing you and all..." Conis: "Hey... that girl's... a fish from the waist down... does that mean...?" Nami: "She's a mermaid!" said Nami, which made Camie turned around and freaked out by the sight of the crew. Camie: "Ahh!, a bunch of humans!" Chopper: "Whoa!, calm down, we're not gonna harm you, honest!" Camie: "Are you sure?" Chopper: "Yeah, we wouldn't harm anyone without a good reason, so uh... are you really a mermaid?" Camie: "Yeah, my name's Camie by the way, am I the first mermaid you've seen?" Usopp: "Well the first young mermaid at least, we met one named Granny Kokoro." said Usopp, which made Sanji had a look of horror as the memory came back to him. Sanji: "Gigantic monster giants... zombies... that's not fear... my heart already learned the true meaning of terror when I saw her..." Usopp: "Sorry... probably shouldn't mentioned that..." Nami: "Could you be any more rude?" Usopp: "Sorry, but it was scary." Luffy: "No kidding, Granny Kokoro was cool and all, but thinking of her as a mermaid is really gross..." Nami: "You'll be old some day too!" Camie: "Um, may I ask who you might you be?" Chopper: "I'm Chopper, and this is Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Vivi, Karoo, Conis, Su, Franky, Brook, and the one on the ground is Sanji." Papagu: "Hey!, don't forget about me!" Luffy: "Oh yeah... what's with the talking glove?" Camie: "Actually, that's Papagu, he's a starfish man, he's my pet and outfit designer." Papagu: "Yup, and the darn best outfit designer in all of Fish-man island." Nami: "Speaking of Fish-man island, that's where's trying to go right now, but we don't seemed to have a way getting there at the moment." Camie: "Oh, well I know someone who can help you with that, he's my boss and good friend, he and I both work at the Takoyaki 8, which is a ship that we used to sell octopus fritters." Luffy: "Oh, so he makes yummy food?, let's go see him." said Luffy, before Camie went to pick up her Transponder snail to make a call, only for the one answering was an enemy, called Macro, leader of a trio of kidnappers called the Macro gang, that has got a hold of her friend and took his snail. The enemy told Camie that if she wants her friend back, she'll have to come to the base of the Flying Fish riders to rescue him. Camie: "This is bad... my friend is in big trouble... he must have thought the Macro gang caught me and tried to save me... only to be caught himself..." Luffy: "Don't worry, we'll help ya save him." Camie: "You will?, thanks." Papagu: "Are you sure?, cause The Flying Fish riders are involved." Franky: "Who are they?" Papagu: "They're a kidnapping gang that ride on giant fish that can fly for a short time after jumping out of the water, and they're really tough." Chopper: "Kidnapping...?" Papagu: "Yeah, their job is to kidnap anyone they can get their hands on and send them to the Sabaody archipelago, where they'll be in the human auctions." Sanji: "You mean like slave trading or something?, that's real sick..." Papagu: "Yeah, and the Macro gang are another group of kidnappers that have their eyes on Camie for some time now, which makes sense as mermaids fetch a very high price on the market." Conis: "You mean there are people who make money on enslaving people?!" Papagu: "I'm afraid so." Vivi: "That's truly disgusting..." Papagu: "No kidding, but that's how it works in these waters... so be careful." soon, thanks to the help of some fish, who were called out by Camie, as mermaids have the ability to talk to fish, they were on their way to the hideout of the Flying Fish riders, in hopes to rescue Camie's boss and friend. Unaware to the pirates, a group of men that were riding on giant fish with wings were spying on them, and left the scene before the Straw Hats even noticed them. Meanwhile, at the hideout of the Flying Fish riders, the Macro gang, lead by Macro (voiced by Hunter Scott), was talking to a big man named Duval (voiced by David Vincent), who not wears a cold iron mask, but also the leader of the Flying Fish riders as well. Macro: "So once Camie comes, you'll pay me and my boys, right?" Duval: "Yes... but what I'm really looking forward to come would the ones she's with." Macro: "What do you mean?" Duval: "I just got word from my boys that the mermaid is on a pirate ship... and not just any pirate ship... but the ship of the Straw Hat pirates... and one of them is the guy I've been after for a while now... and once I get him... I will kill him with my own two hands!" said Duval, which caught the attention of Camie's captive friend, who turned out to be Hachi, Arlong's former crew mate himself. Hachi: "Nyu?!, the Straw Hats?!, oh no... of all the people she could run into... I'm in real trouble... if I don't figure out a way to escape soon... I'm gonna get my butt kicked just as much as Duval and the rest of his gang... I'm so toast!" Macro: "Are you saying you know these Straw Hats?" Hachi: "Yeah... they're the ones who took down Arlong in the East blue..." Macro: "You're kidding... right?" Hachi: "It's true, I was there when it happened... and those Straw Hats are crazy strong..." Duval: "I don't care how strong they are... nothing will stop me from getting revenge on the man who ruined my life!" shouted Duval in anger, eager to get his revenge on one of the Straw Hats for something that might have to do with why he wore the mask. Soon, the Thousand Sunny arrived to the hideout, and it wasn't long before Camie saw a cage that had someone inside it, which was Hachi himself, but covered in black ink. Camie: "Hachi?!, what did they do to you?!, you're all black!" Hachi: "Uh... well they didn't do that, it was my own fault actually... but never mind me, what are you doing with the Straw Hats?!" Zoro: "Did Camie just call him Hachi?" Nami: "She did... and that shape and voice of his... I know too well who he is..." Luffy: "Huh?, you do?" Sanji: "Yeah... hey how's Arlong doing?!" called out Sanji, trying to ask a question to the Fish-man. Hachi: "Uh... not so good really, him along with the others were arrested by the navy and I was the only one who escaped, now I work as a guy who cooks and sells Octopus fritters with Camie and Papagu." Luffy: "Wait... Arlong?... HEY!, YOU'RE THE DUMB OCTOPUS GUY WITH THE SWORDS!" Hachi: "AH!, I GAVE MYSELF AWAY!" Robin: "Arlong?" Usopp: "Yeah, it was a long time ago, Nami's home village was once under the evil rule of an evil fish-man pirates lead by Arlong, and Nami was in worse trouble as she was forced to work for those jerks for 8 years, and that fish-man in the cage known as Hachi was one of Arlong's top officers." Franky: "Ah... so he's an old enemy." Usopp: "Well he was until Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and I came along and beat the pulp out of those guys." Chopper: "Really?!, that's so cool!" Usopp: "Yeah I know, then after that, we thought the Navy arrested Arlong and the rest of his crew, but I guess this guy managed to get away." Brook: "I see..." Camie: "Wait... you're saying Hachi was a bad guy?, that couldn't be right." Hachi: "Well... as much as I hate to admit it... I'm afraid what he said is true... I'm sorry for not telling you..." suddenly, the Macro gang burst out of the water and got onboard of the ship, and the sight of them scared both Camie and Papagu very much. Macro: "Well look who decided to show up, get her boys." said Macro, before Sanji gives all three of them the butt kicking of their lives, and send them flying into the sky. Sanji: "Huh... I kind of thought they would be a bit tougher than that... no matter... as long as I can keep them from harming Camie..." Hachi: "Oh thank you so much!, I was so worried that they were gonna get Camie!" Sanji: "I don't wanna hear any cheering from you... I haven't forgotten the role you played for helping Arlong making Nami cry!" Hachi: "Nyu... I know... I don't blame you for hating me... but please be careful, the Flying Fish riders are out to get you as well as Camie!" said Hachi, before the Flying Fish Riders themselves came to the scene and ready to attack. The Straw Hats were more than ready, and they were kicking the bad guys' butts pretty quickly, especially when the Thousand Sunny fired a powerful cannon blast from the figurehead's mouth that took out the enemy with just one shot. Suddenly, Duval, who was riding on a big buffalo, burst out of a hut, ready to battle. Papagu: ""Oh man... it's Iron mask Duval!, the leader of the Flying Fish riders himself!" Duval: "I don't care if the whole base gets destroyed... as long as I get to kill the man who ruined my life... you hear me... Black Leg Sanji?!, I will kill you if it's the last thing do!" Sanji: "Huh?, me?, what the heck did I do?" Conis: "Could he be an old enemy?" Vivi: "I don't recall of running into that man before... though it's hard to tell with that mask he's wearing..." Nami: "Maybe Sanji messed with him back when he still worked in the Baratie?" Sanji: "Well... I did a lot of things to make some guys mad at me... but I don't recall meeting anyone named Duval before..." Usopp: "Huh?, that is weird..." Duval: "You idiot!, it wasn't that long ago!" Sanji: "Really?, if it's more recent, I'm even more confused..." Luffy: "Who are you?!, who don't you show us your face instead of hiding it like a coward?!" Duval: "You really want to see it... fine... go ahead..." said Duval, before he removes his mask, and once he did, everyone gasped in shock to sight of the man's face, while Sanji was the most shocked one. Usopp: "What?!" Nami: "No way..." Chopper: "Huh?!" Zoro: "You're kidding!" Vivi: "Is that... really his face?" Conis: "Unreal..." Robin: "Oh my..." Brook: "I say..." Franky: "Ah!... I could cry!" Duval: "Now do you see... because of you and your wanted poster... I became a wanted man... even though I'm not you or even a pirate!" shouted Duval, who revealed to look just like the bad drawing of Sanji's wanted poster. Sanji's whole body got covered in flames and jumped up before kicking Duval in the face. Sanji: "SHUT YOUR DANG MOUTH!, DON'T THINK YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE THAT HATES THAT STUPID POSTER!" shouted Sanji in anger, before Luffy started to burst out laughing. Chopper: "Whoa... I thought Sanji's wanted poster was just a bad drawing... that's rough..." that was when Duval ordered some of his men to capture Sanji in a net and drag him under the sea to drown, and the men were wearing air bubble helmets to breathe so they don't drown too. Camie jumps into the sea and due to mermaids being the fastest swimmers in the world, she was able to catch Sanji and rescue him just in the nick of time. Camie: "Sanji!, are you okay?!, say something?!" Sanji: "Oh... did I die and gone to heaven...?" asked Sanji, happy that his head was resting on Camie's chest. Usopp: "He's fine..." Nami: "Yeah... that's for sure." Luffy: "Hey Duval... if you got a problem with one of my crew mates... you'll have to deal with me first." Duval: "Fine by me, as I was planning to kill you too for you're the man that made him a pirate in the first place... now die!" shouted Duval, before the buffalo begins to charge towards Luffy, who only glared at the animal, and suddenly, some kind of aura came out of the Straw Hat pirate that scared the buffalo and knocked it out cold. Nami: "Huh... Luffy, what did you do?" Luffy: "I didn't do anything... did I?" Duval: "Straw Hat... you're dead meat now!" shouted Duval, before Sanji got out of the water and begins to walk towards Duval. Sanji: "Step aside Luffy, this guy is mine... I only just met him and he's already been a pain in my butt for too long." Duval: "Your butt?!, I'm the one who gets to be chased by the marines all because I'm the one who matches your poster!" Sanji: "Well how do you think I feel seeing that rotten picture come to life?, a face like that shouldn't exist... but don't worry, I'll fix that." said Sanji, before he jumps up and kicks Duval in the fast so many times like a powerful rain storm until the man was sent flying into a wall. It wasn't long before Duval got back up, but much to everyone's surprise, except for Sanji, Duval looked different. Zoro: "Hey... what did the cook just do to his face?" Chopper: "He looks... different now..." Usopp: "He's like a different person now!" Duval: "Huh?, what do you mean?[looking at a hand mirror] my face... what the heck happened to my face?!... I'm so... handsome!" said Duval, as he sees that his face was now no longer like the wanted poster, and looking handsome now. Sanji: "I rearrange the bone structure of your face so you'll have nothing to cry about anymore." Duval: "Unreal... I had no idea you can do this..." Nami: "Nor have I..." Duval: "It's a true miracle!, oh thank you so much!, not only am I free from that stupid wanted poster!, but now I'm a real looker for the ladies too!" Sanji: "Try not to make too much expressions on your face at least until it has time to settle." Duval: "Sure thing, and just let you know that if you ever need my help, I'll give a hand right away." Usopp: "Wasn't he trying to kill us like a few moments ago...?" Chopper: "Yeah, but at least we're safe now..." after that, just like they promised Camie, Hachi was free again, and he quickly started making octopus fritters for the crew. Luffy: "Wow!, these are yummy!" Sanji: "I have to admit... the flavor is something else..." Brook: "Yes, this is the first time I ever tasted these, I sure hope this won't be the last." Hachi: "So uh... Nami... are they good?" asked Hachi, wondering how Nami thinks of them, which made both Luffy and Sanji freeze up a bit. Nami: "Listen... don't think I'll forgive just for this." Hachi: "No, no!, I was only asking you if it tasted good!, that's all, I swear!" Nami: "Well... I guess it's pretty good." Hachi: "Nyu!, you think so... happy to hear that... so uh... you guys are on your way to Fish-Man island?" Luffy: "Yeah, you know how to get there?" Hachi: "Sure do, it's pretty easy for fish folk like me and Camie, though not so much for humans like yourselves... but there is a way to do it... two in fact, though only one for outlaws like yourselves." Usopp: "Really?" Papagu: "Yeah, the same could go to enter the New World, for the first way, which is the normal way for most folks, you would have to go over the Red line and pass through the holy land of Mariejois and get permission to get over." Conis: "Over the Red line... how do they get their ships over it?" Vivi: "They don't, they normally abandon their ships and take another one that's waiting on the other side." Franky: "Abandon your ships?!" Papagu: "Yeah, but since you're pirates, you'll be taking a different route, traveling under the sea." Franky: "Do we have to abandon the Sunny?, I sure hope not..." Papagu: "Don't worry, you won't, as unlike the first route, you can use this ship to travel directly to Fish-man island." Franky: "How?, the ship was not built to travel underwater, and I should know." Sunny: "Yeah, although that would have been a good feature..." Camie: "Don't worry, all you have to do is coat the ship with special coating that you can get at the Sabaody archipelago." Luffy: "Then let's go there." Usopp: "Hold on, isn't that the place where kidnappers take people to human auctions?" Papagu: "Yeah that's right, but that would only happen if you let them... but after seeing you kicking the butts of the Macro gang and the Flying Fish riders with ease, I wouldn't have to worry about you guys." Hachi: "Yeah, but I think it's better if you be on your guard, for there are tough pirates and bounty hunters there... along with a marine base too... not to mention that the archipelago is right next to Mariejois and Navy HQ, so anyone could show up at anytime if you cause any trouble there." Vivi: "He's right... I've been at Mariejois before... and the archipelago is the route my father took whenever he was summoned for the Reverie..." Hachi: "And another thing... there is a coating mechanic I know personally that is the best there is, he'll be able to get your ship coated for your trip to Fish-man island... but be warned... there's a chance we might run into the World Nobles in the archipelago too." Chopper: "The who?" Robin: "They're from the holy land of Mariejois, and they're supposed to be the rulers of the World Government besides the 5 elders." Luffy: "Okay... but what's the big deal?" Hachi: "Listen... this might be hard to ask, but you have to promise me that you won't do anything to defy the World Nobles no matter what happens." Conis: "Huh...?" Nami: "No matter what happens?" Sanji: "Just ignore it?" Hachi: "That's right, even if they kill someone right in front of you... I'll say it one more time... no matter what, pretend you didn't see a thing... do not defy them if your value your lives..." said Hachi with a serious tone, which made Luffy a little nervous, wondering why would Hachi ask them that. Little did the Straw Hats knew at the time was that the Sabaody archipelago, their next stop... will be the last one they'll have together for quite a while.
