The Message of 3D2Y

After escaping from Navy HQ, Law was doing his best to fix up Luffy's body from the damage Admiral Akainu did on him. Once the submarine came to the surface, Bepo was getting a lookout to see if anyone followed them, before seeing a marine ship next to the submarine, but there were nothing but statues of marine soldiers and Hancock was there, along with her snake, Ivankov and his followers as well. Bepo: "Boa Hancock... why are you here?" Hancock: "Never mind that... please tell me if Luffy's okay?" Bepo: "Huh?... you mean you're worried about him?" Hancock: "Of course I am!, how could I not after what that creep Akainu did to him?!" that was when Ace came to the scene. Ace: "Hey... you're that warlord who told me that Luffy was coming to rescue me..." Hancock: "Yes... and I'm relieved that he was able to save you... though I hope he can save himself too..." Ace: "Yeah... he must have been through a lot in order to get me..." Ivankov: "No kidding, he was able to recover from Magellan's poison in only a short time, but it did took a tole on his body later on... it's a miracle alone that he's still alive..." that was when Law and Jimbei came to the scene. Law: "Well... I did everything I could, he should live... but there's no 100% guarantee he'll survive..." Ivankov: "Well I know he can do it, for he's Dragon's son after all, and by the way, Straw boy mentioned something about you being Gold Roger's son, eh Ace boy?, well you don't really take after him much." Ace: "Yeah... but I don't like that fact... and I can't believe that pops is gone..." Ivankov: "Yes... it's sad, but it was bound to happen sooner or later, as we all grow old and die one day... but at least he isn't a walking cyborg with no personality... like Kuma..." Ace: "What do you mean?" Ivankov: "Well... during the battle... I learned something terrible... it turns out that the navy were doing some experiments on poor Kuma to make him a cyborg, and when the war happened... he lost his personality... so in a way... he's dead... and not to mention that made some clones of him called Pacifistas... they're supposed to be used for the navy to capture strong pirates... oh poor Kuma..." Ace: "So you knew him?" Ivankov: "Yes... he was a member of the revolutionary army like moi here, but now... he's gone..." Jimbei: "Yes... we went through a lot... but Luffy's the one who's hurt the most... I just hope he'll be able to wake up..." Hancock: "Me too... tell me, do you have a Transponder snail?" Bepo: "Yeah, I believe so, but what do you need it for?" Hancock: "I need to make a call to my sisters, letting them know I'm coming back, and I want you all to come with me." Jimbei: "You mean... you want us to go to Amazon Lily?" Hancock: "Yes, Luffy should make a safe recovery there, as long as the government still views me as one of the warlords." Law: "You sure that's a good idea?, if I recall, your people there aren't that fond of men." Hancock: "I'll let them know that you're friends of Luffy, so they won't attack." soon, the group arrives to Amazon Lily, and while some didn't like the idea of having men on their island, they knew that they'll need them to help Luffy recover. Sandersonia: "So you're Luffy's brother?" Ace: "Yup, that's me, it's nice to meet ya, it's good to know that Luffy made a lot of strong friends." Marigold: "You like to flatter people, don't ya?" Ace: "I'm just trying to be nice, I hope my brother didn't caused too much trouble last time he was here, cause he tends to find trouble wherever he goes." Sandersonia: "Not at all... to be honest we owe him a great debt for keeping our secret safe." Ace: "Yeah... the nerve of those Celestial Dragons enslaving such lovely ladies, if I ever run into them... I will give them a Fire Fist they'll never forget." hearing this made Sandersonia and Marigold to blush a little. Nyon: "Oh great... first the Pirate Empress, and now her sisters...?" back at the submarine, Luffy begins to move a bit, before opening his eyes and tries to get up. Luffy: "Oh... my head... and my body... wait... Ace!, where are you?!" shouted Luffy, before he runs out of the submarine and tries to look for Ace, before the man in question came to him. Ace: "Easy Luffy, I'm right here." Luffy: "Ace... you're okay!" Ace: "Yeah, thanks to you..." Luffy: "Thank goodness... I was so worried about you..." Ace: "You were worried?!, what about me?!, you're the one who was so close to death after what Akainu did to you!" Luffy: "Huh?, what do you mean?" Ace: "Well..." said Ace, before he explained to his brother about what happened after he passed out, from Akainu's attack, to Whitebeard's death, to when Teach showed up with his extended crew and all that. Luffy: "So Whitebeard's dead... I'm really sorry..." Ace: "Don't worry... it was bound to happen sooner or later... at least he put up a good fight before his end... he was a man among men..." said Ace, as he begins to cry, as the pain for losing his father figure was still too fresh. Luffy went to hug him for comfort. Jimbei: "Ace... Whitebeard might be gone... but the rest of your family is still out there... waiting for their new captain to return." Ace: "Yeah... you're right... but Luffy... he's..." Luffy: "Don't worry about me, I'll be okay... and besides... my crew's waiting for me too." Ace: "Yeah, can't keep either of them waiting..." Luffy: "Oh yeah... if you run into Buggy... give him this as I promised him to have it once you're safe." said Luffy, before giving Ace the armband. Ace: "Sure thing, Jimbei... take care of Luffy for me." Jimbei: "Of course." said Jimbei, before Ace takes a raft and sails away. Margaret: "Oh man... I was hoping he could stay a little longer... he was pretty nice, for a man anyway." Luffy: "Yeah he sure is..." meanwhile, in different parts of the world, it wasn't long before news about what happened in Navy HQ spread like wildfire, and the news soon reached the rest of the Straw Hats. Zoro, who landed on the same island with Perona, learned from Mihawk, who lives on the island, that Luffy was probably dead after Akainu attacked him, and the news made Zoro felt shocked and worried for his captain. Nami was on a cloud island full of old men who use science to make weather, and she got a newspaper that talked about the news of the war, and she was worried. Usopp was on an island that was really a giant meat eating plant, and he got a newspaper that mentions the war, and he was shocked. Sanji ended up in the Kamabakka kingdom, which was full of men dressed like girls, much to his dismay and horror, and it wasn't long before he got the paper that talks about the war. Chopper ended up in the Birdie kingdom in the South blue, and there, after getting the birds and people there to get along, he got the newspaper and was shocked. Robin ended up in Tequila Wolf, which is like a construction site of a hug bridge, located in the East blue, and the people there were enslaved to build it. But then the revolutionary army came and freed the slaves, including Robin, and they were looking for her in quite a while it seems, but not to harm her, but to join their ranks in hopes to free the world from the Celestial Dragons, and it was them who gave her news about what happened with Luffy in the War of the Best. Franky was sent to Karakuri island, a winter island that's supposed to be the birthplace of Dr Vegapunk himself, and he got the newspaper about what happened in the war at Navy HQ. Brook landed on an island where he got captured by some guys who were members of the Long arm tribe, and they planed to make money out of him, and the skeleton got a newspaper that tells the news about the War of the Best. As for Vivi and Karoo, they ended up in Alabasta of all places, and although they were happy to see Kohza and Vivi's father again, they knew that they couldn't stay in Alabasta due to them being pirates now, and they was shocked to learn about the news of the recent war. And as for Conis and Su, they ended up at the Twin capes, where they meets not only Crocus, but also Laboon as well, and they were shocked to learn about the News of the recent war at Navy HQ. Back with Luffy, he was getting food from Hancock, who was happy to feed him while blushing. Suddenly, a sea came out of the water and it was all beaten up. Luffy: "Whoa... what happened?" Jimbei: "Something fought that Sea King and beaten it... but what?" Law: "Don't look now... but it looks like someone's coming..." said Law, before a man came out of the water, and was soon revealed to be Rayleigh himself. Bepo: "That's... the Dark King Silvers Rayleigh!" Jimbei: "No way..." Rayleigh: "Oh hey, didn't expect to see you here." Luffy: "Wow!, hey Rayleigh. How's it going?, and what are you doing here?, and did you see my crew?" Rayleigh: "Easy Luffy, one question at a time." Nyon: "Rayleigh... is that really you?" Rayleigh: "Hey Nyon, it sure has been a while." Sandersonia: "Wow, it's great to see ya." Luffy: "You know him too?" Nyon: "Yes, him along with Shakky helped me get the Snake princess and her sisters back to Amazon Lily after they escaped from the Celestial Dragons years ago... but why are you here?" Rayleigh: "I came to check on Luffy, and don't worry, the government has no idea he's here, the only thing that got me to believe it was because Shakky had a theory that Luffy had the help from Hancock to get to Impel Down and all that, and the fact that Kuma told me he wanted to help Luffy as well." Luffy: "Huh?, the bear guy was trying to help me?" Rayleigh: "Yes, surly you remembered how your last trip at the Sabaody archipelago ended." said Rayleigh, before Luffy widened his eyes in horror as the memory of what happened there came back to him. Luffy: "Yeah... I remember..." Rayleigh: "And if Kuma didn't send you and the other flying when he did... you would be dead by now... in other words, he saved your lives." Luffy: "Really?, I had no idea... but why?" Ivankov: "Because he was a member of the revolutionary army like moi here... perhaps he wanted to save the son of our closest friend, Dragon... I'm only guessing though... it's not like he can explain himself anymore as he lost his personality when the navy turned him into a mindless cyborg." that was when Luffy remembered the last words Kuma said to him before he was sent flying. Luffy: "Even back then... he knew..." Ivankov: "Yes... Kuma was truly a good man... he sacrificed his own will to help those in need... I swear to you Kuma... your sacrifice will not be in vain..." Rayleigh: "Tell me Luffy, were you planning to go back to Sabaody after you recover?" Luffy: "Yeah, that was the plan." Rayleigh: "Well I'm only saying, but do you think that's the best choice right now?, for if you think what happened at Sabaody was overwhelming... the New World is 100 times worse..." said Rayleigh, which made Luffy let out a soft gasp in shock. Luffy: "Really?" Rayleigh: "I'm afraid so... but if you want to make sure what happened at Sabaody does not repeat itself again, you'll gonna need to get stronger to survive the waters of the New World." Luffy: "But my friends won't know..." Rayleigh: "Maybe not... but I have an idea that can help." Luffy: "Really?, what is it?" Rayleigh: "Well... here's a plan that might work." said Rayleigh, as he begins to tell Luffy his plan on how to give a message to the other Straw Hats. Ivankov: "Are you serious?!, you want him to go back to Navy HQ?" Jimbei: "Why would you suggest that?" Rayleigh: "It's only a suggestion, it's for Luffy to decide." Luffy: "So... will this help my friends get the message?" Rayleigh: "Without a doubt, and it'll let them know you're still alive." Luffy: "In that case... I'm going back to Navy HQ." Law: "Let me warn you, try not to do anything too stressing, otherwise your wound will open up and you'll surly die, got it?" Luffy: "Right, thanks Traffy." Law: "It's Trafalgar Law actually." Luffy: "Well whatever your name is, I owe ya." Law:"Yeah you do owe me a favor... but I think that can wait when you're strong enough to handle the New World." Luffy: "Sure." Ivankov: "Well... good luck out there... I'll surly miss ya." Luffy: "You're not coming?" Ivankov: "Sorry to say it, but the Kamabakka kingdom could only wait for it's ruler's return for so long... besides, you'll have Jimbei and Rayleigh to watch over you, I'm sure you can manage... so do take care Straw boy." Luffy: "Yeah, good luck getting home too, see ya Iva." so with that, Ivankov and his followers sail away on the marine battleship Hancock took some time ago, while Luffy and Rayleigh ride on a raft and Jimbei pushes it to pick up speed. Some time later, while many workers were busy repairing the damage done to Navy HQ during the war, a reporter noticed a battleship heading to the plaza, but was shocked to see that Luffy was on it, along with Jimbei and Rayleigh. The pirate with the Straw Hat ran over to a big bell and began to ring it 16 times, before he places some flowers to the ground, and placing his hat on his chest, to pay his respects for those who have fallen during the war. Many reporters were taking pictures of him, and soon after Luffy ran off, news about his actions spread like wildfire. Luffy was now with Rayleigh on the raft, guided by Jimbei, heading their way back Hancock's ship. Rayleigh: "Well... that should do the trick." Luffy: "I hope they'll get the message..." Rayleigh: "I'm sure they will." soon, every member of the Straw Hat pirates got a newspaper about what Luffy did with the Ox bell, and only they figured out what he was really doing. Turns out the bell was a distraction to keep the true message hidden from anyone outside the crew. On Luffy's right arm, there was a tattoo that said '3D2Y' on it, and it took time, but they were able to figure it out that they'll be separated for 2 years instead of 3 days like they first planned in order to get stronger to survive the New World. Zoro decided to train under Mihawk in order to improve his swordsmanship skills, and have sword duels with some large baboons that use swords. Nami decided to learn the weather science on the sky island with the old men, who will teach her everything they know. Usopp was trained under a man who wears a helmet that looks like a beetle, to learn how to use certain plant seeds that should help him on his sniping skills. Sanji, who gets to meet Ivankov, gets trained under the ruler to learn about some recipes that he has to earn by beating some of the girl dressed men and must protect himself from losing his manhood by them putting a dress on him and making him become one of them. Chopper decided to study the medicines of the island to improve his skills as a doctor and in hopes to improve his transformations too. Robin decided to stay with the Revolutionary army for at least 2 years, so she can train herself to improve her powers of the Flower Flower fruit. Franky decided to stay in the hidden abandoned lab of Dr Vegapunk to upgrade his body in hopes to be a stronger fighter in the future. Brook started to become popular with his music, and begins to secretly trained his powers of the Revive Revive fruit in hopes to aid the crew for the future. As for Vivi and Karoo, they were being trained secretly under Igaram in hopes to become strong enough to handle the New World, and although Igaram wished for Vivi to stay, he knew that as long as the World Government sees her as a pirate, she can't be the princess, and he knows that Alabasta is in the good hands of Kohza as well. As for Conis and Su, they were being trained under Crocus who was fond of the pair and was happy to help friends of Brook, who Crocus was happy to learn that he's still alive, and Laboon was the most thrilled. On an island at the Grand Line, Buggy has finally reunited with his crew, and they were happy to have him back too, along with the many new recruits, like Mr 3, Funkfreed and the escaped prisoners of Impel Down. Alvida: "I'm impressed that you managed to get new followers, though I have to ask how you managed to get them to follow you?" Buggy: "Well when it comes to scoundrels, I'm a natural born leader, and by the way... Ace came here earlier and gave me something that Straw Hat promised me to have..." said Buggy, before he shows Alvida the armband of Captain John itself. Alvida: "Is this... Captain John's armband?, how did you get this?" Buggy: "Straw Hat had it somehow and he promised me that I can have if I helped him save his brother, and that's how it happened." Alvida: "Oh speaking of Straw Hat, he made a scene at Navy HQ again." said Alvida, before showing Buggy the newspaper, which talks about Luffy ringing the bell and had Jimbei and Rayleigh with him, much to his shock. Buggy: "What?!, why was Rayleigh with him?!" Alvida: "Who knows..." that was when Mr 3 came to the scene and had a letter in his hand. Mr 3: "Hey Buggy... a carrier bat came by and brought you a letter from the World Government." Buggy: "What?!, how did they find me?!... and what does it say..." Mr 3: "Well... they're offering you a position as one of the Seven warlords of the sea..." Buggy: "What?!, seriously?!, they want me as a warlord?!" Alvida: "What did you do that made them see you worthy for the title?" Mr 3: "Maybe due to being a former member of Gold Roger's crew and his little duel with Mihawk...?" Alvida: "Wait... you mean Hawk Eye Mihawk?!, the clown actually fought him and lived?!" Mr 3: "Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but I saw it with my own eyes..." Buggy: "Hmm... so they want me as a warlord eh... we could use this to our advantage." said Buggy, as he begins to laugh in crazy way. Elsewhere in the Calm Belt, as soon as the group made to the Kuja ship, Jimbei was ready to saw farewell to Luffy and Rayleigh. Jimbei: "Well... I guess this is farewell for now." Luffy: "Yeah, shame though, I was really enjoying your company." Jimbei: "Yes, same with yours... who knows... maybe there's something I can do to help you on your journey, until then... see you on Fish-man island in 2 years!" said Jimbei, before swims away from the scene, while the Kuja ship sails off to an island that Rayleigh wants Luffy to spend for his 2 year training. Hancock wanted to spend time with Luffy, but both Rayleigh and Nyon reminded her that Luffy needs no distractions from his training, for his sake more than anything else, so she decided to be patient. Soon, both Rayleigh and Luffy got to the island, and the young pirate discovered that the place was full of large and savage animals, like a giant red savage elephant for example. Rayleigh: "Now for the next 2 years, I will teach you the power of Haki." Luffy: "Rayleigh!, look out for the elephant!" Rayleigh: "Don't worry, the elephant will use it's trunk on the left side." said Rayleigh, before the Elephant did just that and the old man was able to dodge it with ease. Luffy: "Whoa... you can predict it's next move... kind of like one of Hancock's sisters... or Eneru back on Skypiea..." Rayleigh: "Yes, Observation Haki allows you to sense the presence of everything and everyone around you, and if it's sharp enough, you can even predict what their next move would be... next is the Armament Haki, think of it as you're wearing invisible armor." said Rayleigh, before the elephant tries to attack again, only for Rayleigh to use his open palm to block it's foot, which seems to hurt it, and then Rayleigh flicked his fingers on Luffy's forehead, which seemed to be painful to him somehow. Luffy: "Ow!, hey I shouldn't feel that!, I'm made of rubber!" Rayleigh: "Consider this as another use for armament Haki, unless they have a certain weak point, those with Devil fruit powers, like mostly those with Logia type power, are pretty hard to hit, but if you master this Haki, you can not only touch them, but hit them too." Luffy: "Whoa... so with that power I can hit Smoky or Aokiji or anyone..." Rayleigh: "Not only that, but you can transfer it into weapons, like the Kuja warriors on their arrows for example... of course there's a third type of Haki, which is much rarer and only one out of a million people can have it, let alone control it... known as Conqueror's Haki, let me show you." said Rayleigh, before the elephant begins to charge one last time, and then some powerful blast of aura came out of Rayleigh, and it made the elephant to faint. Luffy: "Whoa..." Rayleigh: "As you can see, it gives you the power to conquer the will of others." Luffy: "Oh... that must be what you used back when we first met..." Rayleigh: "Yes, and you seemed to have the same power too." Luffy: "I do?... oh yeah, back at Amazon Lily, Impel Down and at Navy HQ..." Rayleigh: "Yes, but I would advice you on learning how to control it as soon as possible, otherwise you can hit innocent folks who get caught in the action as well." Luffy: "Okay... and wow... no wonder you were Gold Roger's first mate... you're so awesome..." Rayleigh: "I suppose so... anyway... are you ready?" Luffy: "Almost... I just need a safe for my hat to be until my training's complete." Rayleigh: "I think I know a place." said Rayleigh, before he leads Luffy to what looked like a large thick white tree. Luffy: "This is the place?" Rayleigh: "Yeah, the animals wouldn't dare go near this spot, so your hat should be safe here until you're done with your training." Luffy: "Alright then..." said Luffy, before he placed his hat on a rock in front of the large white tree, and went back to the old pirate. Rayleigh: "So... ready now?" Luffy: "Sure am... hey Zoro... Nami... Usopp... Sanji... Chopper... Vivi... Karoo... Robin... Conis... Su... Franky... Brook... Ace... and Sabo... I'm making you guys another promise... I'll get stronger no matter what it takes!" called out Luffy to the sky, vowing to his friends that he'll get stronger by the next time they see each other.
