Luffy's ONE PIECE Voyage

Buggy and Coby's mini adventures

A day has passed since the Going Merry left Nami's village, and now the ship is sailing to the next island. Nami was collecting a newspaper from a special seagull called a News Coo, and she was not happy with the prices. Nami: "Honestly, why do they have to keep rising them?" Usopp: "Come on Nami, now that your village is free, you don't need to save up money anymore." Nami: "You idiot, now that Arlong and his crew are out of the picture, I have to save up money for myself now, I'm not gonna be one of those pirates who can't afford to dress up." Usopp: "Whatever, just be careful, I'm in the middle of making my Tabasco star, which are like ammo that has very hot sauce inside, which would make any bad guy have a very hot mouth or something like it." that was when Sanji kicked Luffy away from what looked like a small group of tangerine trees. Luffy: "Oh come on, I just want one!" Sanji: "No!, this is Nami's tangerine orchard!, which she got from her village as something to make her feel like home, I won't anyone lay a finger on it!, Nami can you see how well I'm protecting your trees?" said Sanji in anger at Luffy, but romantically to the navigator. Nami: "Yes, you're doing a good job." said Nami, before she opened a newspaper, and what looked like a wanted poster fell out of it. Once Nami took a look at it, she gasped in shock. Sanji: "What's wrong?" Usopp: "You saw something on the paper?" asked Sanji and Usopp, before Luffy went to the poster, and he let out a big smile on his face. Luffy: "Alright!, we're officially wanted!" said Luffy, showing the wanted poster, which said 'Wanted, dead or alive, 'Straw Hat' Monkey D Luffy, 30,000,000 berries'. Usopp: "No way!, 30,000,000 berries?!" Luffy: "Yeah, that's a whole lot of berries!" Usopp: "Hey look, I'm on the poster too!" Sanji: "What, they put long nose in but not me... where are you?" Usopp: "Right there in the corner." said Usopp, pointing at the corner of the poster, which showed the back of his head. Sanji: "Um... I don't think the back of your head really counts..." Usopp: "Don't be so glum, you don't have to be a captain to get your own bounty." Sanji: "Really?" Usopp: "Yeah, just work really hard." Nami: "Don't you realize that this means people will come after us now?!" Zoro: "Come on Nami, this was bound to happen sooner of later, don't act like you didn't see this coming." Nami: "Even so... I don't think I'm ready to be wanted..." Zoro: "Either way, what's done is done... now we just have to watch out for marines and bounty hunters... and with a bounty this big... they'll be good..." said Zoro, before the scene changes to somewhere else on the East blue, on an island where the pirate clown, Buggy, was currently stranded on after his battle with Luffy. The clown began to laugh while looking at a raft. Buggy: "At last, my flashy raft is finally complete!, and once I gather up a crew, I'll make that straw hat brat pay for making a fool out of me... time to settle the score once and for all!" shouted Buggy to himself, before a man who was stuck inside a treasure chest, named Gaimon (voiced by Jonathan C Osborne), came up to the clown. Gaimon: "Well Buggy, it was nice knowing ya." Buggy: "Yeah, you weren't so bad yourself, for a Jack in the box of course." Gaimon: "Yeah, I am in a box and my name is... you idiot!, we've been through this already!, I'm a person!, not a toy!" Buggy: "Calm down, I was just messing with ya." Gaimon: "Oh... that makes sense... well good luck on your voyage." Buggy: "You know, you can join my crew if you want, I mean 20 years here on this island alone would be very lonely." Gaimon: "Maybe... but I have these animals to keep me company, so I'll be fine here, good luck." Buggy: "Yeah... thanks, see ya." said Buggy, before he gets on his raft and sails off to sea. It wasn't long before a giant crab burst out of the water and tried to make a meal out of the clown. But luck was the clown's side this time, as someone fired a cannon at the crab, taking it down with one shot. Buggy, hanging for dear life on what was left of his raft, turns his head to see a small ship with a cannon coming up to him. It wasn't long before Buggy can see a woman standing next to the cannon, making realized that she was the one who saved him. The woman in question was in fact Alvida, another pirate that Luffy defeated some time, only she looked like a different person now somehow. Alvida picked up the clown and gently put him on her little ship. Buggy: "Thanks... I thought I was a real goner for a second." Alvida: "It's no big deal, you're Buggy the clown, right?" Buggy: "Yeah, you've heard of me?" Alvida: "Yes, and I think you know a certain pirate that I'm looking for in a while now." said Alvida, before showing Buggy the wanted poster of Luffy. Buggy: "That brat!, I will get you and... wait... are you saying you want revenge on him too?" Alvida: "That's right, we both have a common enemy with Straw Hat... what do you say we team up?" Buggy: "Sure, you know the old saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and I wouldn't mind having a lovely lady in my crew." Alvida: "I don't know if I wanna join your crew... but tell you what, how about we both be co captains?" Buggy: "Well... as long as you don't try to betray me, anyone who tries will face death..." Alvida: "Funny, I was gonna say the same thing." Buggy: "Fine, we'll both share the rank of captain, but let me warn you, I got Devil fruit powers so I'm not that easy to beat." Alvida: "Funny, so do I." Buggy: "Really?, well that might come in handy, for I doubt even Straw Hat can handle two Devil fruit users at the same time." said Buggy, before he lets out an evil laugh. It wasn't long before the pair found not only an island, but a ship that the clown knew all too well. Alvida: "Looks like a pirate ship." Buggy: "Not just any ship!... that's my ship!, which means my crew must be on that island!" cried out Buggy in joy, before he and Alvida arrived on the island, and began their search for Buggy's crew. They found what looked like a grave that had a photo of the clown himself. Alvida: "Why did they made you a big grave?" Buggy: "What... big?, are you talking about my nose?!" Alvida: "I said big grave!" Buggy: "Oh... sorry... sometimes I lose it whenever someone makes fun of my appearance..." Alvida: "Yeah... I know the feeling too well..." Buggy: "But never mind that, why would they make a grave for me... and what did they bury...?" Alvida: "Hey... there's some people passed out over there." said Alvida, pointing at two people passed out on the ground, which turned out to be Mohji and Cabaji, Buggy's top officers. Buggy: "What the?!, Mohji!, Cabaji!, what the heck happened to you two?!" Mohji: "Ah... captain Buggy...?!" Cabaji: "No way... you're alive...!" said the two Buggy pirate officers, before they hugged their captain, happy with their little reunion. Mohji: "We thought we lost you forever!" Buggy: "I'm fine really... but uh... who kicked you butts?, I like to say hello." Mohji: "Uh... I don't really remember anything, except getting knocked out." Cabaji: "We were attacked, but I have no idea who did it..." that was when Alvida noticed a spear on the ground. Alvida: "Hmm... judging by this spear... your boys had a run with the Bear claw tribe." Buggy: "Is that so?" Alvida: "Yeah... but I fear that it might be too late to save your crew... for you see the Bear Claws are known to be cannibals." this made Buggy and the other two men gasped in shocked, before Buggy's heart was filled with anger. Buggy: "My crew... eaten alive... they will pay!" Mohji: "But captain, you need your whole body to fight." Buggy: "I know that!, but I can't just stand here and let those cannibals get away with eating my crew!" Cabaji: "Yeah, but they probably ate your body already too." Buggy: "You mean my body's here?" Mohji: "Yeah, we placed it on your grave, but I guess the cannibals took it." Buggy: "Well then... then this should be a good time to put on a show for them... a show of them meeting their end..." said Buggy, before he lets out an evil laugh. Back at the village of the Bear Claw tribe, the cannibals did indeed ate the crew, as most of them had full bellies. The only one that has yet to be eaten yet was Richie the lion, who the tribe it saving for dinner in the evening. Buggy's body was still okay, as it turns out that the tribe didn't like the taste of it, and it wasn't long before Buggy and the others showed up, ready to attack the tribe for revenge. Buggy regained control of his body, allowing him to be whole again, and begins to go on a rampage on the tribe's village. Mohji freed Richie the lion, who gave the pirate a ride and attacks the tribe. Cabaji used his acrobat attacks on the tribe with his sword, while Alvida used her club to swat the men away like bugs. Once the tribe was defeated, the Buggy pirates cheered for victory, but Buggy felt a bit sad for the misfortune of the rest of his crew. Buggy: "Oh... I wished I got here sooner..." Mohji: "It's not your fault captain... Cabaji and I were in charge of them while you were gone... and we failed..." Cabaji: "If only those kids didn't got in the way..." Buggy: "Yes... that straw hat's the reason for all this... I promise that I'll make him pay!" Mohji: "Hey Buggy... I hope you don't mind me asking... who's the lady?" asked Mohji, referring to Alvida. Buggy: "Oh, this is the woman who saved my life, and her name is... wait... I don't her name..." Alvida: "Oh right, the name's Alvida." Cabaji: "Wait... Iron Club Alvida?, that can't be right, that pirate was supposed to look like a fat ugly woman." said Cabaji, before he earned himself a big bob on the head from Alvida and her club. Alvida: "Watch what you say in front of a lady next time, or you'll won't live long." Cabaji: "Right... sorry... it won't happen again miss..." Buggy: "Right... now that we got that settled... it's time to set sail... and to find and kill Monkey D Luffy!" said Buggy with an evil laugh. Elsewhere in the East blue, Coby and Helmeppo were busy doing chores for the marines, and it wasn't long before they saw Luffy's wanted poster. Coby: "Wow... 30,000,000 berries... that's some starting bounty..." Helmeppo: "That accursed straw hat... it's because of him that I'm stuck as a chore boy..." Coby: "Hey come on, it's better than ended up in jail, right?" Helmeppo: "Well... good point... but still..." Coby: "Anyway, we got work to do." said Coby, before he and Helmeppo continued working. Soon, they were joining the marines on a ship to escort a prisoner to another marine ship, but to their surprise and shock, the prisoner was noun other than Axe Hand Morgan himself. Helmeppo: "Oh... I guess I should have seen this coming..." Coby: "You mean your dad?" Helmeppo: "Yeah... I admit that he did took things a little too far... he was a real jerk ever since he captured Captain Kuro 3 years ago... so he deserves to be court marshaled... but still... even after all that... I still look up to him... Coby... do you think they're gonna execute him?" Coby: "I don't know... it's a possibility." Helmeppo: "I guess it's something I'll have to be prepared for..." said Helmeppo with tears, while Coby watched with sadness, feeling sorry for Helmeppo. Soon, the ship that's carrying Morgan arrived at the spot where the ship of Vice Admiral Garp (voiced by Brian Mathis), was waiting to collect the prisoner and ship him to Marine HQ to be court marshaled. Garp: "So... the prisoner's here..., about time." back on the other ship, Morgan was not about to let himself be taken to jail, so he went on a rampage and took Helmeppo hostage. Morgan: "Hand over me a boat or this brat dies!" Helmeppo: "Daddy!, please!" Coby: "Stop!, that's your son!" Morgan: "Why should I care?, he's nothing to me!" Helmeppo: "Daddy... how could you... I looked up to you..." Morgan: "How could I not?, if I let them take me to Garp, I'll surly be executed, but mark my words, I will be on top again, and make everyone who dared betray me suffer, especially that Straw Hat, Pirate Hunter and that little girl!" Coby: "You monster!, it's hard to believe that you were a marine!, you're worse than the pirates!" Morgan: "Shut up you brat!" shouted Morgan, before he begins to swing his axe at Coby, who managed to dodge it just in time. Little did anyone knew at the time, Garp was watching Coby's bravery of standing up to Morgan, and he smiled. Garp: "Hmm... that kid would make a fine marine... I'm sure of it..." back with Coby, he was trying to figure out a way to free Helmeppo without getting himself killed, and then an idea hit him. Coby then used his leg to kick the back of Morgan's causing the prisoner to lose balance and fell over the ship, while Coby grabbed Helmeppo's hand just in the nick of time. Helmeppo: "You... saved me..." Coby: "Of course, that's what friends do, they help each other." while the marines were checking on Coby and Helmeppo, Morgan steals a boat from a fisherman not too far from him, allowing Morgan to make his escape. Back on the Marine ship, Garp came up to Coby and Helmeppo. Garp: "You two were brave to stand up to Axe hand Morgan like that... it would be a waste to let such potential be ignored..." Coby: "What are you saying sir?" Garp: "I'm saying... is that I want you two to come with me to Navy HQ, where you'll be trained to be real marines." Helmeppo: "Really sir?!" Garp: "Got a problem with it?" Coby: "No sir, it's a real honor, we'll make you proud." Garp: "I'm sure you will... now let's get moving." said Garp, as he along with Coby and Helmeppo get sailing to Navy HQ, which is located in the Grand line. Back on the Going Merry, the Straw hats were planning on where to go next. Nami: "Now listen, before we go to the Grand line, we need to get some supplies." Zoro: "Yeah... like me getting new swords..." Nami: "What happened to your swords?" Sanji: "It sort of happened after you left the Baratie with the Going Merry, Moss head had a duel with Hawk Eye Mihawk." Nami: "What?!, as in the world's strongest swordsman?!, what was he thinking?!" Zoro: "Hey, it was my goal to take him down, I didn't expect that his league was far above mine... but I will not gonna lose again..." Luffy: "I know you won't." Nami: "Now listen everyone, we need to get to the Grand line, and the only entrance is Reverse Mountain." Usopp: "Wait... a mountain?" Zoro: "There's gotta be an easier way..." Nami: "There isn't..." Luffy: "But the map has the Grand line under the East blue, can't we just sailed into it?" Nami: "We can't, there are two areas of sea that boarders the north and south of the Grand line, which are known as the Clam belt, which are very dangerous, so we have to take Reverse mountain, but before we go there, we need supplies, and the only place to get them around here is the island where Logue town is." Luffy: "Logue town?" Zoro: "I'm sure that I've heard of it before... it's the place known as the city of the beginning and the end..." Nami: "No wonder... it's the town where the king of the pirates, Gold Roger... was born and executed." Luffy: "So... it's the hometown of the king of the pirates?" Nami: "Yeah... I'm guessing you wanna go there?" Luffy: "You bet I do, this is the man who had it all... wealth... fame and power... I wanna see where he was born and executed..." said Luffy, looking forward to see the place known as Logue town, unaware of the dangers awaiting him there.
