Franky the cyborg and the Thousand Sunny

A few days after what happened at Enies Lobby and with the Going Merry, the Straw Hats were recovering at the Galley-La building, which is located in Water 7. when Kokoro came to visit them, she noticed that Nami and the others were looking blue in sadness. Kokoro: "Why look so down?, your log pose should be ready in a few days from now." Nami: "Even so... it's not like we can go anywhere without a ship..." Vivi: "And the ship we lost was our crew mate... the bravest one of us all..." Karoo: "Quack..." Kokoro: "Yes... I understand your mourning for the Merry... but if you want continue sailing, you have to get a new ship." Nami: "Yeah... but we don't have the money to get one... not anymore at least... we gave it to Paulie and he said that he lost it at the sea train..." that was when Franky came to the scene. Franky: "Hey guys, why so glum?" Kokoro: "Well as you know they lost their beloved ship and don't have the money to buy a new one as Paulie lost it at the sea train." Franky: "It didn't got lost, I took it and spend it." there was a moment of silence before Nami got filled with rage and kicked Franky in the face, which sent flying to a wall. Nami: "What's the big idea on stealing our money and spending it?!" Franky: "Ow!, wait a second!, there's a reason I did it... just hear me out!" said Franky, before Vivi came up to him. Vivi: "You better have a good explanation... cause I don't know how long you'll live when Nami blows her top." said Vivi, before the other Straw Hats sat down, while Luffy was still sleeping. Franky: "Okay... you see I spend the money on a special kind of wood called Adam wood, which is the strongest kind of wood there is... if a ship was built with that wood... it would be no doubt one of the best ships there is... and as a former apprentice of one of the best shipwrights in the world... I have the skills to build one with that wood... what I'm trying to say is... I spend the money to get the wood I need to build the best ship for you to sail the world in!" once Franky said that, everyone gasped, except for Luffy as he was still sleeping. Chopper: "Really?!, you're gonna build a new ship for us?!" Sanji: "And it's free?" Franky: "Well you kind of paid for it as it was your money I used... but yeah, it's yours... and it might interest you that Gold Roger's ship was built from that wood too, so it would make sense to use that wood for the ship of the next king of the pirates." Conis: "Wow, thank you so much!" Su: "Suu!, Suu!" Usopp: "Wow, looks like things are finally starting to look up!" Zoro: "I don't suppose you know how to fix swords, do ya?" Franky: "Sorry, but my skills were more a shipwright, not a blacksmith." Zoro: "Too bad, cause with Yubashiri rusted up and broke, I only got 2 working swords." Robin: "Can't you just buy a new one?" Zoro: "Easier said than done... with Nami in charge of the money..." Nami: "Hey come on, money does not come cheep you know." suddenly, a marine, who was vice admiral Garp himself, burst through the wall, much to everyone's surprise. Franky: "What the heck?!" Garp: "Pardon me... but I came here to see the pirate named Luffy." Sanji: "Oh nuts... the navy!" said Sanji, before Garp zoomed through the Straw Hats, as he used the Shave technique like how CP9 used it, and punched Luffy on the head, which woke him up in pain. Luffy: "Ow!, that hurt!" Zoro: "How could it hurt?, you're made of rubber!" Garp: "Because there's Devil fruit that has a defense against my first, and I see you have caused a lot of trouble lately Luffy." said Garp, before Luffy takes a look at him, and gasped in shock. Luffy: "G...G... Grandpa?!" All: "WHAT?!, THAT'S YOUR GRANDPA?!" Vivi: "Wait... Aokiji did mentioned that Luffy's grandfather was a marine... but Vice Admiral Garp?!" Conis: "Is he famous?" Nami: "Yeah, he's known far and wide as the navy hero who fought against Gold Roger." Sanji: "Luffy, is this guy really your grandpa?" Luffy: "He sure is... so no matter what, don't fight him... he'll kill you just like how he nearly killed me over and over when I was little..." Garp: "Now come on, you'll give them the wrong idea... although I admit that I threw you into a ravine that one time... and left you in the jungle a few times too... and make you go sailing on some balloons, but I didn't do all that to kill you, I did it to make you a man, and a fine marine." Usopp: "Is he for real?" Sanji: "You know... this actually explains where Luffy got his endurance from..." Chopper: "What kind of grandpa would do that to a kid...?" Garp: "Honestly Luffy, why couldn't you joined the marines like I told you instead of being a pirate?" Luffy: "Cause pirates are men who are free, and I made a promise to Shanks that I will be a great pirate when I see him again." Garp: "You idiot!, don't you know that being a pirate means you'll be a wanted criminal that the world wants to be dead?!, and besides, you becoming a great pirate like Shanks... you have a long way to go before you become close to his league." Luffy: "What's that supposed to mean?" Garp: "Well you see, Shanks is one of the Four Emperors now these days, the same class as Whitebeard, along with the other two known as Big Mom and Kaido." Conis: "The Four Emperors?" Robin: "The strongest pirates in the whole world... but wait, Luffy has connections to Red Hair Shanks?" Nami: "That's where Luffy got his straw hat from, Shanks asked him to take care of it... I had no idea he was that famous though..." Luffy: "Me neither... but I guess it makes sense... he was really awesome last time I saw him... if it weren't for him... I wouldn't be alive today... I mean he gave up his own arm to save me from a sea monster..." Sanji: "He did...?" asked Sanji, as he remembered how Zeff gave up his own leg to save him when he was a boy as well. Vivi: "He gave up his arm... to save you?" Luffy: "Yeah... I'm happy to know he's okay..." that was when two Marine soldiers came to the scene, which were actually Coby and Helmeppo themselves. Coby: "Hey Luffy, it sure has been a while." Luffy: "Huh... wait... Coby?!" Zoro: "That pink haired kid...?, why is he here in the Grand line?" Garp: "Oh that's right, he and his friend are the real reason I'm here, just to see how you're doing." Coby: "Yeah, long story short, me and Helmeppo got ourselves to be trained under Vice Admiral Garp himself." Luffy: "Wow, that must have been a lot of hard work." Vivi: "Um... you know this young man?" Luffy: "Oh yeah, this is Coby, he was a friend I made when I first started out." Coby: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess Vivi, a real honor." Vivi: "Well... I don't know if I should really be called that anymore... since I lost that title when I got that bounty on my head..." Garp: "You know... if you want to be pardoned, I can pull some strings and get you back to the throne." Chopper: "Huh?!, you can do that?!" Garp: "Of course, with my status as the navy's hero, I can do a lot of things... but that's for her to decide." Vivi thought of it for a moment, and then remembered the good times she had with the crew. Vivi: "Actually... I think I would rather stay with Luffy... as much as I miss being the princess of Alabasta... I have a duty as the Straw Hat's negotiator... and there is a friend I'm searching for in the Grand line... and my best chance to find him is with the crew that helped so much since I met them... I hope you can understand that..." Garp: "I do... and I'm glad that Luffy has a crew that's so loyal to him... even though they are criminals." Vivi: "But tell me... how is Alabasta?" Garp: "It's doing fine really, Cobra retired as king, but he found a good successor out of the former rebel leader, Kohza." Vivi: "Yeah... that's a relief..." Coby: "Hey Luffy... I know we're supposed to be enemies now... but are we still..." Luffy: "Yeah, we're still friends, no matter what." Helmeppo: "Hey hold on!, don't tell me you forgot about me, did you?!" Luffy: "Huh?, do I know you?" Zoro: "Yeah, have we met?" Helmeppo: "Of course we did, I'm Helmeppo, the son of Axe Hand Morgan, the guy you punched in the face and tried to execute you in my dad's name." Luffy and Zoro: "Oh... that guy..." Helmeppo: "What do you mean by that?!" Luffy: "Coby... you're hanging out with this guy now?" Coby: "I know he was a jerk when we met him, but he's changed." Luffy: "Well if you say he's okay, that's fine with me." Garp: "By the way... I heard you met your old man back at Logue town." Luffy: "Huh?, my dad?, I don't think so... I don't recall meeting anyone saying he was my dad..." Garp: "Really, well I heard he saved you from Smoker." Luffy: "Really?... now that you mentioned it... I heard someone talking to Smokey when I got pinned down... who was he?" Garp: "Your father... was Monkey D Dragon... the Revolutionary." Luffy: "Dragon?" hearing that made everyone gasped in shock and horror, as they all heard that name before, except for Conis, Su, and Luffy of course, as they had no idea who Dragon was. Coby: "Dragon... is Luffy's father?!" Helmeppo: "And Dragon... is Vice Admiral Garp's son?!, what kind of messed up family does Straw Hat have?!" Conis: "Huh... why is everyone freaking out?" Su: "Suu...?" Luffy: "Yeah, what's the big deal?" Sanji: "Are you kidding Luffy?!, you're telling me that you never heard of Dragon before?!" Nami: "He's a dangerous man... like... the most dangerous of them all!" Robin: "Perhaps I better explain... you see pirates like us are enemy to the navy, but there is one group that's directing their attacks at the World Government... the Revolutionary army, and the head of that group is Dragon..." Vivi: "Yeah... as for that... Dragon is known as the world's worst criminal... but no one knows anything about him... until now that is..." Garp: "Uh... maybe I shouldn't have said that... oh let's forget about it, okay?" hearing what Garp just said, everyone turned white with shock, unable to believe that Garp suggest something like that. All: "WHAT???!!!" Garp: "Anyway, since you're my grandson, I won't arrest you or your crew, you can't put work before family, right?" Helmeppo: "I'm not sure Sengoku will see it that way..." Nami: "I'm starting to see where Luffy gets his idiocy from..." Chopper: "Yup..." Robin: "I must admit the fact Dragon being Luffy's father really surprised me... and here I thought my family history was odd..." soon, Garp was finally ready to leave, while Coby and Luffy were getting ready to split up again. Coby: "Hey Luffy... before I go, there's something you should know..." Luffy: "What is it?" Coby: "Well you see... the second half of the Grand line has a name of it's own... known as the New World... which is supposed to be the most powerful sea in the world... it's where you'll find not only the most powerful pirates, which are of course the Four Emperors, but it's most likely where the legendary ONE PIECE rests... and anyone who can master that sea will become the king of the pirates... and with luck... I will become a Marine admiral..." Luffy: "I'm sure you will be... good luck." Coby: "You too." so with that, Coby left with Helmeppo and out of the scene. When night came, the Straw Hats were sleeping, except for Robin of course, who got a letter from Aokiji that he wants to speak with her. It didn't take long for her to learn that he was behind the wall that she was leaning on, allowing her to hear what the admiral has to say. Aokiji: "Tell me... why didn't you try to run away and escape like you usually would?" Robin: "Even you should know that this time was different... I couldn't just let my crew get killed... they mean everything to me... I couldn't risk losing them like Saul..." Aokiji: "Well you might not know this... but Saul was my friend too..." Robin: "What...?, and yet..." Aokiji: "Yeah... it wasn't something I wanted to do... but I had no choice... but I granted his wish on saving you by making that frozen path to help you escape... of course after 20 years of failing to find a home, I began to feel that Saul made a mistake... so when I gave the Buster Call order to Spandam, I thought it could end your suffering, though I never expected that Straw Hat and gang would defeat CP9... so... do you believe that these are the friends you've been looking for?" Robin: "... Yes... they are..." Aokiji: "I think so too... and as for Spandam... well let's just say you don't have to worry about him anymore... he will be answered for his crimes on his agenda with the ancient weapon... and another thing... live your life with courage... and prove that Ohara is still alive." said Aokiji, as he leaves the scene and Robin went outside to see that the marine admiral was no where to be found. When the next day came, Franky begins his work on building the new ship for the Straw Hats, and it wasn't long before Iceberg and the shipwrights of Galley-La came and decided to help him out on building it, which really touched the cyborg's heart. A few days later, Nami's log pose was finally ready to point her and the others to the next island. Nami: "Finally, the log pose is ready, now we just need to wait for our new ship to be completed." Luffy: "What new ship?" Sanji: "Oh yeah, you were still sleeping when Franky said he was building a new ship for us." Luffy: "Really?!, that's awesome!" Kokoro: "Well of course, while he might not have build one for a long time, he still has the best skills of a shipwright in all of Water 7." Luffy: "Is he really?... hmm..." said Luffy, as an idea was started to be brewed in his head. Kokoro: "And just to let you know that due to the needle pointing down a bit means that the next island is under the sea, which would no doubt be Fish-man island." Sanji: "What?!, we're finally going to Fish-man island?!, alright!" Nami: "The island where the fish-man came from... oh boy..." Luffy: "What's wrong Nami?, are you worried about the people there are gonna be like Arlong and his crew?" Zoro: "Come on, those guys were evil pirates, not all fish-man are gonna give us trouble like that." Conis: "Hold on, fish-man?, like men that are half fish?" Vivi: "That's right, there are also Merfolk too, like mermaids for example." Sanji: "Yeah, and they're supposed to be the most beautiful creatures in the world... I can't wait to finally meet one..." Kokoro: "Um... I happened to be a mermaid too." hearing this made Sanji turned blue with horror, making him cry a little. Sanji: "Why did you have to crush my dream?!, dang it!" Kokoro: "Relax!, there's young mermaids there too!" Conis: "But... you look human to me, and I heard that mermaids are fish from the waist down." Kokoro: "Well we merfolk can split our tails to become legs when we hit our 30's, and it's not easy to keep a good figure when you're my age, and another thing, it won't be easy to get to Fish-man island, especially for you pirates." Nami: "Yeah, I guess that would be true as it's under the sea..." Luffy: "Don't worry, we'll figure it out while we get there." Kokoro: "Well on the way is a problem too, for between here and Fish-man island is the Florian Triangle, which is a part of the sea that is always covered in dark fog, and there said to be some spookiness there... like rumors of a living skeleton on a broken ship that sails aimlessly through those waters." Chopper: "You mean like a ghost?!, scary!" that was when Paulie and his men, along with Usopp, came to the scene. Usopp: "Hey guys!, Paulie here just told me that our new ship is ready!" Luffy: "Really?!, that's awesome!" Paulie: "Yeah... that's the good news..." Zoro: "Really?, what's the bad news?" Paulie: "Well it seems there are new wanted posters today... and Straw Hat has gotten himself a big bounty, no doubt many marines will hunt you down for sure... actually the whole crew is wanted now." Sanji: "Really?!, took long enough!, how much?" Nami: "Not me too!" Chopper: "I'm wanted?!, awesome!" Conis: "Does that mean I have one too?" Vivi: "Oh dear..." soon, Paulie took out some wanted posters that are for the Straw Hats. The first was Luffy, with a bounty 300,000,000 berries, the second was Zoro, with a bounty of 120,000,000 berries, next was 'Cat Burglar' Nami, with a bounty of 16,000,000 berries, then comes 'Cotton Candy lover' Chopper, with a bounty of 50 berries, then came next was 'Demon Child' Robin, with a bounty of 80,000,000 berries, then there was 'Miss Wednesday' Vivi, with a bounty of 65,000,000 berries, then comes 'Fallen Angel' Conis, with a bounty of 26,000,000 berries, up came next was Sniper King (which of course was Usopp in disguise), with a bounty of 30,000,000 berries, then last but not least was 'Black Leg' Sanji, with a bounty of 77,000,000 berries. Some of the crew were upset with the posters, like Nami who didn't wanted to be wanted, Chopper was not happy with how small his bounty was, or Sanji's picture was of a bad drawing instead of a photo which was failed to take. Conis: "Hey, where are Su's and Karroo's wanted posters?" Usopp: "Well Su's on your wanted poster, and the same with Karoo on Vivi's so in a way, they're worth the same as their owners." Paulie: "Of course noun of yours are the wanted posters that really worries me... take a look at this." said Paulie, before showing them another wanted poster, which has a photo of Franky. It was 'Cyborg' Franky, with a bounty of 44,000,000 berries. Usopp: "Franky is wanted too?" Paulie: "Looks like it, which is bad for him as it means he can't stay in Water 7 anymore, and if he gets arrested again, we won't have the power to save him." Luffy: "Don't worry... he won't get arrested... cause I've decided to make him my shipwright." said Luffy, which got everyone's attention. Robin: "Somehow I'm not surprise..." said Robin with a smile on her face. Luffy: "Come on, let's go see our new ship and get Franky to join." said Luffy, before he and the rest of his crew head out to where their new ship was located and covered in a large tarp. Iceberg was doing his best to stay awake when the Straw Hats arrived. Iceberg: "I see you came." Luffy: "Where's Franky?" Iceberg: "He's not here right now, but he told me to show you the ship in his stand... I'm sure you'll love it... he said that if you're gonna be the king of the pirates someday... then your ship should be the king of beasts." said Iceberg, as he removes the tarp, revealing the new ship at last, which was a lot bigger than the Going Merry, and had a lion's head for a figurehead. Luffy: "Wow!, it looks so awesome!" Chopper: "Yeah!" Conis: "Wow... it sure looks like a ship fit for the future pirate king..." Vivi: "Hey... it's got the same eyes and smile as the Going Merry..." Karoo: "Quack!" Usopp: "You're right... it really does... it's like we're seeing the Going Merry reborn as our new ship..." Sanji: "I gotta see the kitchen..." soon, the Straw Hats got onboard the ship and they were amazed as the deck had a lawn. Luffy: "Awesome!, the deck has a lawn!" Nami: "Whoa... there's an aquarium inside... and it can be used for to collect fish and keep them fresh..." Sanji: "Wow!, the kitchen is amazing!, and the fridge has a lock too!, Franky's no doubt the best shipwright ever!, he made my dream kitchen come true!" Chopper: "And I got my own room where I can do my checkups for you guys." Conis: "And it might be for me to use too..." Chopper: "Huh?, what do you mean?" Conis: "Well... each one of you guys have a role in the crew... even Vivi... and I want to have a special role... and I thought maybe since I know some nursing skills along with knowledge with the dials... I thought maybe I can be the ship's nurse under your teachings." Chopper: "You... want to learn under me?" Conis: "Yeah... if you let me." Chopper: "Sure, while I might be the ship's doctor, it'll help me if I had a nurse to aid me, like the time after the battle in Skypiea." that was when Luffy came over to Iceberg. Luffy: "So Ice pops... why isn't Franky here?" Iceberg: "Well... I think it's because he doesn't want to leave the island as he believes it's his duty to protect the island that his mentor loved... so as much as I hate to say it... if you want Franky to join your crew, you'll have to use force." Luffy: "By force...?, gee... and he made such a nice ship too..." Usopp: "Well it's not like we have a choice..." so with that, the straw Hats went off to find Franky, and it didn't take long before they did. Franky: "What are you guys doing here?" Luffy: "We came to pick you up, after all, you're our shipwright." Franky: "What are you talking about?, I'm not a pirate, and you got your ship right, so what do you need me for?" Luffy: "You were the one who built it, which means you're the only one who can keep it in good shape... so that it wouldn't... end up like Merry..." said Luffy while lowering his head a little when mentioned his old ship. Franky: "Look, I understand that... but I'm sure you can find another shipwright." Usopp: "But it has to be you, and besides, even if you want to stay here... you can't..." Chopper: "Yeah... take a look at this." said Chopper, as he showed Franky his wanted poster. Franky: "Should have known... guess it was only a matter of time..." Vivi: "I know how you feel, for I too was forced to leave my home by a bounty on my head, but if you come with us..." Franky: "Oh please, you think I can't take care of myself against an army of marines?" Usopp: "We're not saying that, it's just..." Franky: "Face it, there is nothing you can do to make me go with you." said Franky, before Luffy grabs him and stole his swim briefs. Luffy: "I got his swim briefs!" Zoro: "What the..." Conis: "Ah!, my eyes!" Franky: "Give me back my briefs!, those are the only pair I got!" said Franky, before the Straw Hats took a few steps back away from the now angry half naked man. Usopp: "Everybody make a run for it!" shouted Usopp, as he and the other Straw Hats make a run for it. Franky: "Fine... have it your way..." said Franky, as he begins to chase down the Straw Hats. Chopper: "He's coming after us!" Franky: "You guys think I can't fight without my briefs?!, I can kick your butts naked if I have to!" Usopp: "Luffy!, why the heck did you stole his briefs?!, now he's coming after us!" Luffy: "Yeah, meaning he's coming to the ship." Usopp: "Uh..." Sanji: "Well Iceberg did say we'll have to use force to convince Franky to join us... and I guess this qualifies." Chopper: "But couldn't we done a less scary approach?!" Vivi: "Or at least one that doesn't involve a naked pervert cyborg chasing us?!" Luffy: "Where's the fun in that?" Robin: "Well as long as it's getting Franky to the ship, it works for me." said Robin with a smile as she continues to run with the others. Soon, the Straw Hats made it to the ship, and Franky finally stopped, seeing that he was standing in front of his creation. Luffy: "Come on Franky, join my crew." Franky: "Look... I already told you... I gave up building ships a long time ago, this one will be my last one... I have to stay here cause..." Iceberg: "Because of guilt." said Iceberg, who came to the scene and walked up to the cyborg. Franky: "Ice for brains?" Iceberg: "I know why you refuse to leave... you want to stay here because of the guilt that has brought you down... ever since Tom was taken away... and you blamed yourself for that happening... but I already forgiven you, and so has everyone else in Water 7... it's time you finally forgiven yourself... and fulfill the dream you had since you were a kid... which was not only to build the ship of dreams, but to sail the whole world with it as it's shipwright." Franky: "Iceberg..." that was when Kokoro and Chimney came to the scene. Kokoro: "Hey kids, you better get going, the marines are coming, and Vice Admiral Garp is leading them." Luffy: "What?!, but he said..." Iceberg: "I'll bet it was the order of Fleet Admiral Sengoku that sent Garp here." Kokoro: "And it's not just him, but Admiral Aokiji too." this made Robin feel uneasy, not like the Straw Hats can blame her though. Sanji: "Come on Franky, don't keep everyone waiting!" said Sanji, before Luffy throws the briefs back to Franky. Luffy: "Come on, get on my ship, captain's orders." Franky: "Ha... your ship already huh?, an armature like you would sink her in less than a week, and no shipwright?, well I guess you leave me with no choice, I gotta take care of my masterpiece after all, so set sail as I'm joining the crew!" Luffy: "Yeah!, we got us a shipwright!" Chopper: "Alright!" Iceberg: "Good luck Franky... have a safe voyage." Franky: "Thanks... sorry for being a pain over the years... as much as I hate to admit it... I'm gonna super miss ya." so with that, Franky gets onboard, and the ship begins to set sail to the water, but Franky told them to keep the sails secure. Zoro: "Are you sure this is a good idea?" Franky: "Trust me, this ship has a trick that no other has, all we need is to get it ready." said Franky, before Garp's ship came to the scene, and Garp himself starts throwing cannonballs like they were baseballs. Sanji: "What the?!" Zoro: "He can throw cannonballs like baseballs?!" Vivi: "Well I have heard Garp was able to do that... but I never believed it..." Franky: "Hey guys, before we go, we need to give the ship a name, as this is her maiden voyage after all." Sanji: "Well whatever it is, it's gotta be good." Franky: "Well Iceberg did had a suggestion... he thought maybe the ship could be called... the Thousand Sunny." Luffy: "Wow!, I like it!" Chopper: "Me too!, it's super cool!" Robin: "But isn't the figurehead a lion?" Franky: "Yeah, but Iceberg thought it was a sun at first." Conis: "Well it does looks a little like the sun, and it's catchy too." said Conis, before Garp shouted out to his grandson. Garp: "Sorry Luffy, nothing personal, but Sengoku ordered me to go after you, family or not!" Luffy: "Fine with me!, but you won't catch me or my crew!, it was nice seeing ya again!, and you too Coby!" Helmeppo: "Hey don't forget about me, dang it!" Garp: "Don't think you can outrun me so easily!" shouted Garp, before he continues to throw more cannonballs. Back on the Sunny, Franky was loading some barrels into a machines that was powering up for something. Suddenly, the thing that looked like a large cannon on the back of the ship started to glow. Franky: "Hang on tight everyone!, Coup Da Burst!" shouted Franky, before the back cannon fired air that sends the ship flying into the air, much to the marines' shock. Helmeppo: "Did their ship... took off and fly away...?!" Coby: "Wow... Luffy got himself a ship like no other..." Garp: "Hmm... not bad kiddo..." said Garp, while Aokiji was watching while sitting on a lawn chair, and he too was surprised by what the Straw Hats' ship just did. Of course the Straw Hats were even more surprised themselves, they did not expect their ship to fly either. Usopp: "I can't believe it... we're flying... just like how the Going Merry did when we went to Skypiea..." suddenly, Usopp and the other Straw Hats heard a familiar voice that said 'Yeah, never thought I could do it again either'. Nami: "Did you say something?" Vivi: "No... that wasn't me..." Zoro: "Wait... I think I've heard that voice before..." Usopp: "No way... that's... Merry's voice!" Franky: "That's... a Klabautermann... but how?... wait... could that be... the Merry's Klabautermann?!" asked Franky to himself, as he was guessing that was seeing the Going Merry's Klabautermann on the Thousand Sunny itself. Usopp: "Merry?!, is that you?!" Thousand Sunny: "I go by the Thousand Sunny now... but yes... it's me." Luffy: "Wow!, Franky, why didn't you tell me you rebuilt Merry?!" Franky: "I didn't.... how is this possible?!" Thousand Sunny: "Well... after I was burnt... I was in the spirit world... and a strange creature took my soul and placed it into this ship... making it my new form... what do you think?" Chopper: "Merry... I mean Sunny... we're so happy... to hear your voice again... and to have you back... so happy that... we didn't left a crew member behind..." Thousand Sunny: "Franky... thank you... for giving me a second chance... I promise to help you make your dream come true... like how you helped me." said Merry, before Franky started to cry. Franky: "Ah!, I'm so happy that I was happy to bring you back as my masterpiece... even if I have no idea how... I love ya!" cried Franky in joy, while the other Straw Hats shade some tears of their own, happy to know that their old ship was somehow able to live on through their new one. Elsewhere in the world, news about the Straw Hats' new bounties have spread like wildfire. In the hometowns of the Straw Hats, the people were having different reactions to the news. On Chopper's home island, which is now called Cherry Blossom kingdom, Dalton, who is now the king there, was talking to Dr Kureha. Dalton: "Hello Dr Kureha, how are you?" Dr Kureha: "Doing fine, but what's so important that you wanted me down here for, I'm a very busy woman." Dalton: "Well I just wanted you to know that the Straw Hats have new bounties after an incident at Enies Lobby... see for yourself." said Dalton, before showing Dr Kureha the posters, including the one with Chopper on it. Dr Kureha: "Chopper..." Dalton: "I'm sure the amount must be a mistake." Dr Kureha: "Hmm... seeing his face again is worth all the berries in the world..." that was when Mr 5, Miss Valentine, and Miss Golden Week came to the scene. Mr 5: "So... those brats that recently took down Baroque Works have escaped from Enies Lobby?" Miss Valentine: "It's like they have the luck of the Devil himself..." Dr Kureha: "Hey Dalton... I still can't believe that you made those three become the new guards here... is it really a good idea?" Dalton: "Well with Baroque Works gone, they're out of a job, and it would be a waste for such talent to rot in prison, and everyone deserves a second chance... I sure did." Dr Kureha: "Fair enough... and another thing... as long as Chopper's happy, that's good enough for me..." meanwhile in Alabasta, Igaram and the others were shocked to learn about a certain woman in the Straw Hat crew. Igaram: "Unbelievable!, what in the world is Miss All Sunday doing in the same crew with Princess Vivi?!" Cobra: "Yes... it is strange... but then again... if she had enough heart to save Luffy from death after his fight with Crocodile... then perhaps she's not all that evil... and according to the paper, the Straw Hats attacked Enies Lobby to save her..." Igaram: "Hmm... I wonder if she can be trusted to be near Vivi...?" that was when Kohza came to the scene. Kohza: "I wouldn't worry, Vivi might be a princess, but she's a tough girl... and she's with the man who will be king of the pirates someday... so we shouldn't be too worried about her." elsewhere in the Grand line, there was an island where Blackbeard and his crew were looking at a newspaper, which tells about the incident at Enies Lobby and the Straw Hats' new bounties. Teach: "Z ha, ha, ha!, can you believe this, Straw Hat's bounty is real big now, we better catch up to him quick." Burgess: "Wee ha, ha!, you got that right captain." of course that was when Ace came to the scene, who has finally caught up with him. Ace: "Teach... looks like I finally caught up with you... I hope you know why I'm here, cause I wanna spare time and take you down." Teach: "Well if it isn't my former commander, don't tell me that you're still mad about me killing Thatch, it's not like I had a choice, I've been after a certain Devil fruit for a long time and he had it... so I had to get him to kick the bucket." Ace: "I don't care what your reason killing him was... killing a fellow crew member is a crime that should never go unpunished, and another thing... I heard you were after Luffy... if you're planning to kill my little brother too... then you must have a serious death wish." Teach: "Huh?, he's your little brother?, well that's a surprise." Ace: "Yeah, so if you want to get Luffy... you'll have to get through me first." Teach: "You know... that's fine by me." said Teach, before some dark energy came out of his body, and his hand turned dark and some force pulled Ace to it. Once Teach got a hold of Ace, the pirate punches the Whitebeard second division commander into a tree. Ace: "Ow... what in..." Teach: "This is my power now... the Dark Dark fruit... it makes me a living black hole... pulling everything inside me... and spits it out like some brat eating spinach, it also allows me to take away my opponent's devil fruit power... meaning your power is as useless as money to a dead man... so even if you have a powerful Logia type power... it's useless against me." Ace: "We'll see about that." said Ace, before he and Teach went down to an all power brawl, and both of the pirates' Devil fruit powers left out a big explosion that nearly blew up the island they were on. It wasn't long before the battle ended, and Ace lost... and ends up being captured by Teach... who now has plans for his former commander.
