Book Of Male Reader One-Shots:

Power to the Powerless.

Y/n's POV:

"This sucks!!", I yelled into the sky as I walked through the streets of my hometown, ever since those peaches appeared the idea of equality was thrown out the damn window.

I kicked an empty can on the path I was walking until suddenly I was surrounded by this fog, "What the?!", I exclaimed as the fog began to thicken until I suddenly found myself somewhere else.

Mato, another dimension, separate from our world filled to the brim with monsters known as Shuuki that destroy anything in their path. I looked up to see a pitch-black sky with no stars, it was lifeless. I was so distracted by the scenery around me I didn't even take notice of what was coming towards me.

In the distance, a cloud of dust was approaching fast only when it was right next to me did I realise how much danger I was in. As the dust dissipated a large beetle-like armoured monster stood tall, the monster had a singular black horn pointing from its head but for some reason, it approached me cautiously.

"I've never seen a Shuuki like you before!", a woman's voice shouted from behind the beast as a shadow appeared above it to show said woman.

The woman looked odd, she seemed human but her body was covered in black with white robes and the black skin stopped at her face which was slightly covered by black scales, she had piercing yellow eyes and light lavender-coloured hair.

"Huh? What do you mean Shuuki? I'm a human!!", I retorted until I suddenly realised something. I had miraculously grown taller and when I looked down at my body I was no longer wearing my school uniform but I was covered in greyish rock like skin with glowing blue lines lining my new body.

"I-I am human, aren't I?", I asked to no one in particular as I clenched my new clawed hands into fists then reached for my face in hopes to feel human skin but instead it was hard, I could feel pointed and sharp teeth and horns on the back of my head.

I was so caught up by my new appearance that I didn't even notice that the woman had gotten off the shuuki and stepped closer to me. I only realised how close she was when she reached for my hands.

"Maybe once... but why don't you join me? I can help you.", she offered with a warm smile. For her perhaps it was just that, a smile. But for me, someone who was shunned by society and abandoned it completely changed my view of the world around me.

"Ok. I'll join you.", I nodded. Seeing that I accepted she beamed at me as her smile grew into a grin.

"Then I shall introduce myself! I am Aoba Wakura!", Aoba greeted offering a handshake.

"Y/n L/n, pleasure to meet you.", I shook her hand with my now rough clawed hand.

"Let's go before the Anti-demon corps show up.", she suggested, climbing up onto the unique shuuki. I tried to approach but the shuuki seemed too afraid to move at all.

"Well, this is going to be a problem.", I sighed.

At least that's what I thought at the time but when we began to move it turned out that my new body had given me quite a few perks. Among them was that my body was now enhanced to monstrous levels, I suppose it makes sense since I'm no longer human. I was faster than the Shuuki that Aoba was riding, I wonder what else this body can do?

It has been some time since I had arrived in Mato and met Aoba along with many more girls that were similar to Aoba. Half human half monster, they were treated as freaks by the Anti-demon corps and experimented on. I was lucky but I wanted to do more.

I wanted to help and then the opportunity came.

"Y/n! It's time!", Aoba called out to me as she was accompanied by Koko with her bear like Shuuki.

"Got it!", I answered and made my way to the exit. Waving goodbye to the others.

3rd POV:

At the Unit 7 base:

"I found a victim!", Nei, the 7th units Clairvoyant alerted the others in the dorm.

"Himari, Shushu! Go quickly!", Kyouka, the 7th's chief ordered.

"Roger!", the two complied as they quickly followed Nei's directions and headed towards the victim which was being chased by the monstrous shuuki.

"The anti-demon corps are here!", Himari announced as she transformed her arm into a machine gun and shot down the rampaging monsters.

"You can relax now.", Shushu said cheerily.

As the pair approached the hooded figure Himari spoke, "Are you ok?"

"Yeah.", the began until suddenly the figure gave a hard punch into Himari's stomach, "Thanks.", the figure then removed her cloak to reveal Koko a short girl with a similar appearance to Aoba but she had short hair that stopped before her shoulders.

"The Anti-demon corps got fished out~", she sung as she slammed her right fist into her left hand, "We'll see what you're made of."

Back at the base Kyouka and a now transformed Yuuki were heading towards their cornered comrades until suddenly there was a loud boom and a blue blast was heading their way.

"Watch out!!", Kyouka ordered forcing Yuuki to just barely dodge the oncoming beam of energy as it grazed past his shoulder leaving a slight black burn mark on his arm.

"Gah!", he exclaimed in shock as he reached for his wounded right shoulder.

"Damn, I almost got them.", a rough voice spoke up alerting the pair.

What met their sight was a large humanoid monster covered in greyish skin with a beast like skull face, the monster was radiating an unusual electrical energy.

"Greetings Unit 7, you'll be fighting me today!", Y/n spoke with confidence as blue lightning sparked around his body.

"That Shuuki can talk?!", Yuuki exclaimed in surprise as Kyouka jumped off his back and charged at Y/n.

The 7ths captain swung her katana at the new foe only to be unexpectedly caught as her blade became stuck in the man's torso, teeth formed on the side of his chest catching the blade and making it impossible for the captain to retrieve it.

"Nice try!~", Y/n mocked as he pulled his right fist back aimed at the unarmed captain.

"Kyouka!!!"

A/n: how was that? I've seen quite a few chained soldier stories recently but they all have something in common they just replace Yuuki as the main character and add other powers on top.

So I decided to do something different and have this story separate from all the others out there.
