I wake up still sitting in the same chair. But I can feel the weight of a blanket around me. I can faintly hear voices from the back of the ship. I recognize one of the voices, Mace, but the other one I have never heard before. My curiosity gets the best of me, as I quietly slip out of the chair and look into the room I hear the voices from, still hiding behind the wall. A man is standing there with his back to me, he has sand blond hair and his clothes looks like a mix of robes and armor. He suddenly stops talking and turns around to see me peek from behind the wall.

"Well hello there, little one." He sounds friendly. He crouches down to my level and make a gesture I think is, come here, with a smile on his face. I shake my head, and keep on standing in safety behind the wall, pulling my arms closer to my chest.

"It's alright Lora, his name is Obi-Wan Kenobi, he is a Jedi Master as well," Mace says looking at me and trying to reassure me that nothing is happening, and that I really am safe. With that, I step into the room, and I slowly walk towards Obi-Wan.

"Your name is Lora?" He asks while looking into my eyes. I just nod. "Do you speak?" He asks. I nod again.

"Alright, little one," he chuckles, "I'm here to take you to the Jedi Council, my friend Mace here, unfortunately can't come, as he has an important thing he needs to do".

I look up at Mace, and he nods to assure me that it is okay. I look back at Obi-wan and nod at him also. He stands up and gestures for me to come with him. But when I don't move, he takes my hand gently and starts to take me towards a big building. My feet begin to drag against the floor and Obi-Wan gently picks me up so that I'm sitting on his arm. I look around in awe of the big building with the high ceilings and red carpets. He must notice my curiosity as he starts telling me the history of the so-called Jedi Temple. When we enter the temple, other Jedis look at me. I don't really feel comfortable, so I just focus on the stories Obi-wan is telling me. By the time he finishes, we are standing in front of two big doors.

"When we enter, I'm going to sit down, is that okay?" Obi-wan asks me as he carefully places me back down onto my feet. When he feels my hesitance, he reassures me that it is going to be okay, and that he will be there the entire time. We then enter the room. It is a big circular room with lots of chairs around the sides forming a circle. In almost every chair sits either a person or a hologram of what I assume is other Jedi Masters. Just as Obi-wan said, he sits down in one of the chairs.

The room goes quiet, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. "Master Yoda, I am," the little green figure in the middle says, "Lora, your name is, if correct, I am"

I look nervously at Obi-wan who gives me a small nod. I turn back to Master Yoda and give him a nod.

"Force sensitive, you are," the green one continue, "her midichlorians you have tested?" He asks Obi-wan.

"No, Master Yoda," the man answers while stroking his beard.

With that, the green figure stands up from his chair and walks towards me with the help of his cane.

"Your hand, I need"

I reach my hand toward him, something about him makes him seem trustworthy. He takes out a little needle and pokes one of my fingers. He doesn't say anything else, just walks out of the room. When the doors close it's like the air stood still. I am not sure what to do, and it doesn't seem like any of the other masters know either. It doesn't take long before the doors open again, and Master Yoda comes walking in again. Still quiet, he walks back to his chair.

"Strong with the force, you are. To stay, you are, to be trained," he concludes, "Obi-wan, to her quarters, you will take her"

"Yes, Master," Obi-wan nods and stands up. As he walks out of the room, I follow close. He doesn't say anything on the way to my new quarters. He stops outside a door and presses a button.

"This is your new quarters, there is everything you will need in there, get settled, later today your new training supervisor will come by and tell you everything you need to know" he stands there and waits until I've walked into the room. "I guess that's it, do you have any questions?" I shake my head. "Well, goodbye Lora, I'll see you around" He gives me a smile and makes a move to turn away.

"Thank you," my voice is small, but with the smile he gives me, there is no doubt he heard me.

The door closes behind him as he walks out. I'm alone now. I stand in the middle of the room. Looking around. It isn't big, a bed, a door to the refresher and a small tea kitchen. That's about it. It is plain, nothing on the walls except for white and beige paint. I figure I have to get used to the plain decorations, it's not like I have anything with me from home. Home. I haven't really thought of my planet since I left. My parents. I've left them, just like that. Their bodies are just lying there, and I've just left. I have no idea if anyone else survived. If so, who did? My eyes water. I haven't thought about them at all. Does that make me a horrible daughter?

A knock on my door pulls me back to reality. "Come in," I say. The door opens, and a man dressed in robes that looks kinda like Obi-Wan's walks in.

"Hi, I'm Master Chi, I will oversee your training when you are not training with Master Yoda"

"Master Yoda?" I ask.

"Yes, Master Yoda has trained thousands of younglings throughout his life," he answers casually.

We spend the next few hours going through what my new daily life is going to look like, at the end he takes me to meet my group of younglings who I will train with. As we enter the room, I notice that they are currently being taught by Master Yoda. None of the other younglings say anything, they mostly look amused. Someone in the back starts to chuckle together with a friend. They start to whisper to each other before they get a warning from Master Yoda and Master Chi.

"Excuse me, Master Yoda, don't you think she should be in a younger class, you know, for those not experienced?" he asks, obviously trying to humiliate me. My small smile falls and my chin drops.

"Scared of her outperforming you, are you?" Master Yoda shoots back, I make a mental note to thank him for defending me later.

"No, it's just, no" the boy stutters before he hides behind his friend. Master Yoda nods at him and turns back to me and Master Chi.

"Late it is getting, showing young Lora here where to eat, would you mind?"

"Of course not, Master" Master Chi bow before we walk out of the room.

"Getting past her bedtime?" I can hear from the group, this time I can hear the other younglings laugh.

Before the doors close, I can hear the child getting a scolding from Master Yoda. All the way to the cafeteria, I walk with my head down, I don't even take notes on how to get there. All I can think about was how humiliated the children made me feel.

"Here we are," Master Chi stops in front of a big hall, "do you need help to find your quarters after?"

I just shake my head no. Master Chi then turns around and walks away. I stand in front of the entrance for a while and just look. The entire cafeteria is full of Jedi that are laughing and talking to each other. Friends reuniting as they are coming back from missions. There are even a few tables with older younglings, maybe even padawans having fun and getting shushed by a few of the older Jedi. I can't imagine myself having that, I had been nervous but excited about meeting the group I was going to train with, back home, I never had any friends, now it doesn't seem like I'm going to have that here either.

My eyes catch on an empty table in the corner. I grab some food before sitting down at the table. It doesn't take long to eat the little amount of food I have. Even after the day I've had, my appetite isn't there.

And to be honest, I can wait to get back to my quarters and get this day over with. I stand up and put my plate away. Walking out of the cafeteria I try to find my way back. It takes some time, but at last I found it. Walking in, I just go directly to bed. It's hard to find peace, but at last sleep found me.

Authors note

I know that this chapter might be a little unrealistic when it comes to the fact that she is still six years old, but I wasn't sure on how to write it to make sense for a six year old.

Also thank you for still giving this book a chance and don't forget to vote☺️
