Galaxy of War || A clone wars fanfiction

Chapter 9

"The first trick will be getting troops on the ground" My master expresses his concern to master Windu as we get on the gunship.

"If you take the city of Nabat first, we'll have our landing zone," Master Windu replies.

"Well it's time to meet the natives" Obi-wan says and the doors close.

Our mission is to rescue the people of Ryloth from the separatists who have invaded the planet.

As we enter the airspace of Ryloth, we take off from our crouser and fly down to the planet's surface.

"We need to remember why we are here. We came to aid the Twi'leks, not destroy their homes" Obi-wan tells the clones before letting Cody explain the plan.

"That means we will be taking it back the hard way, minimal destruction with blaster and droid poppers only," he explains. Now I'm not a clone, but even I know that taking back a planet with just that, is going to be tough.

Suddenly we feel a shake from something exploding, I look at my master to see if we are in danger, but he seems to decide that we aren't. I see that he is right as we get a hologram from Master Windu saying that they are being attacked and can't risk going any further until we destroy the guns.

Suddenly a ship behind us gets shot down as well, and I can feel my heartbeat in my throat. But our ship makes the landing in a clearing in a forest.

"We will make the rest of the journey on foot, be careful" my master tells me and our clones.

As we reach the end of the forest, droids see our movement and start to shoot at us. Obi-wan and I run in front and deflect all the shots as we can to make it more safe for the clones to attack. But we quickly notice that the two bunkers that the droids are hiding in, are going to be a problem.

"Boil, Waxer, come with me," I tell the two clones and head towards the bunkers. As we get close, we take cover behind some rocks. He takes out a shock grenade, and as I nod at him he throws it at them.

"We need to get closer, Commander." Boil tells me as he misses.

"Try again, I will help you" I tell him. He throws it again and this time I use the force to guide it into the bunker.

"One down, one to go," Waxer exclaims. Boil throws another one and I again guide it, this time accidentally hitting a droid in the face.

"Bullseye Commander," Waxer laughs.

As we meet up with Obi-wan and the rest, we find that we now have clear access to the city.

"Good job with the bunkers Lora," Obi-wan tells me proudly and puts a hand on my shoulder, "why don't you take some of the men and check out the city?"

I nod before collecting four clones, Cody, Wooley, Boil and Waxer, and we begin to adventure into the city. It was empty.

"It's empty" Cody says what we are all thinking.

"You two check out the courtyard," I order Cody and Wooley, before turning to Boil and Waxer, "the three of us will check out the south sector".

"You think they killed all of them?" Boil asks, the two had been talking about how creepy the city was, but I was more concentrated to check for any presences within the force.

"... no bodies, they were driven from their homes. I don't think they had a-" A sound gets our attention.

We scan the area but see nothing, so we continue. This time a little more cautious. Suddenly I feel something near us and signal to the guys to move that way. As we get closer we can hear the sound of stones rolling or something. We stand on the opposite walls of a corridor, waiting for my signal before we turn the corner and approach the sound.
