A knock on my door forces my attention away from my book. "Come in," I tell the person.

"Lora." Anakin walks in.

"Anakin," I greet him, putting my book down.

"Do you have dinner plans today?" He asks me.

I shrug. "Not really. Probably just going to the cafeteria. Why?"

"Padme has invited you to hers to dinner with us," he explains.

"Oh, alright, yeah I'll come," I tell him.

"Great, she'll be thrilled." He smiles and backs out of the room, but stops before the door closes. "Oh and, dress nice."

I furrow my brows. "I don't have anything."

He takes a step into my room and throws something at my face. He disappears before I can yell at him for hitting my face, so I can only glare into the door where he was standing before. I look down into my hands and see that he threw a small black bag. I open it and pull out some fabric. On top is a note.

"You'll look gorgeous in this, Love"

I wonder who it's from, but since Anakin gave it to me, it's most likely from Padme. It also looks like something she would pick out for me. It's a baby pink dress with a high neck. Undressing and pulling it over my head, I feel how stretchy the fabric is, which makes it ideal for moving around in a fight, Not that I think that will be the case tonight. I spend the rest of time doing my hair. I'm tired of having my hair down all the time, so I pin it up into a low bun. I grab my armring and put it on before taking my cloak and wrapping it tightly around me.

Obi-Wan is not around, I'm not exactly sure where he is, maybe with the Council. He knows that I'll be eating with Anakin, so he won't be worried when I'm not home. The halls aren't that populated, but I know that my dress would have caused too much attention on me, hence why I brought my cloak. I secure my cloak with a knot before jumping on my speeder and setting course for Padme's. When I get there, I instantly notice the third speeder, but I don't think more of it. I'm late.

I rush up the stairs and open the door. "Padme, I'm so sorry I'm late."

She turns around with a big smile. "Lora, you made it. Don't worry about it." She reaches for my hand to grip, but instead I pull her into a hug. I can feel the gesture shocking her, but she instantly hugs me back. I swear, her hugs heal something in me each time.

I pull away and smile as Anakin brings me into a small hug. But his words make me nervous. "Don't kill me," he whispers into my hair. I send him a confused look, but when he steps back, I see another person joining our dinner.

"Jax, I didn't know you were going to be here," I tell him.

"Well, I'm just full of surprises aren't I?" He says with a cocky smile. I nod with a sarcastic smile.

Padme claps her hands together and gets our attention. "Now that we're all here, why don't we sit down and eat." Anakin pulls her in by her waist and whispers something in her ear that makes her blush from nose to ear.

The only other person being Jax, I turn to him to not stare at them flirting like some creep. But I see him already looking at me. Looks like we had the same idea.

"Shall we?" He asks and holds out his arm for me to loop mine through. I do it and we walk out onto the balcony where a table is set up with four chairs. He pulls back my chair and waits for me to sit before pushing it back into place, then taking his seat himself.

"You know, if I didn't know better I would think you actually like me," I tell him.

"Good thing you do know better," he says. His brown eyes stand out from his white dress shirt. It's first when Padme comes back out and apologizes for the delay, that I realize that I have not looked away from him. But neither has he.
