Chapter 17

"Alright, try to spin," Anakin tells me over the radio.

"You sure?" I ask back as I get ready to spin my ship.

"Of course I am, just try not to get hit by my shots." Easier said than done.

I take a breath and spin my controls. I feel my body getting pushed a bit around and my head getting a little lighter as I spin. I see Anakin getting closer from behind in his own fighter and I speed up. The first shot is fired and almost hits me. A warning.

"Shit," I curse myself.

I shift a bit in my seat before spinning to avoid the shots. A red light on my display shows that I'm at risk of getting shot down, had it been a real situation of course. I decide the best way to get out of range, is to get behind him. I remember him teaching me about pointing my controls up, so I would make a half circle and end up behind the enemy. But since he taught me that, he's probably expecting it. Maybe I can do it the other way? I press my controls down, making my ship plunge down. I tilt my ship so as I'm right under him, I begin my way up.

"Gotcha," I tell him proudly as I lock in my cannons on his ship.

"Nice one," he responds.

"Lora, where are you?" My comlink beeps and the voice of my master fills my ship. Shit.

"Oh, I'm just out grabbing some food with Anakin and Ahsoka, why?" I try to make it sound as innocent as possible.

"Oh really, well funny story, I have Ahsoka right here," I wince as he tells me that, why did I say that Ahsoka was with us?

"Right, I forgot that she went back to the temple," I don't even know why I'm trying to save it at this point.

"Lora, I know you are flying with Anakin, just get back here. We have a mission," he ends the call.

"Well good to know you are a horrible liar," I hear Anakin say.

"Shut it, it's not just me who is getting in trouble you know."

"Oh well, race you to the surface," He tells me, catching me unprepared. I set right after him, but as there are no obstacles it's only based on speed, and since he got a head start, well there is no chance. By the time we reach the landing platform, we can see two people standing there waiting for us. And as we get even closer, I can clearly see it's Ahsoka and my master who looks very unhappy with his arms crossed.

"I can explain," I try to do damage control as I jump from my ship. Anakin gives me a pat on my back before walking off, or trying to.

"Not so fast, Skywalker," Obi-Wan stops him. The way Anakin suddenly tenses up and walks back in fear, would be extremely comical if it hadn't been for the situation. "Lora, I told you not to ask Anakin for lessons, and Anakin I told you not to give her lessons."

He takes a break. "We will talk about this later. As I said, we have a mission. We have lost connection with a medical station at Felucia. Are you coming?"

I hadn't even noticed him moving onto the ship.

"Yes, master," Anakin and I say in unison and quickly follow him onto the ship. Anakin takes the pilot seat as usual, beside him sits Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan and I sit behind them.

"That's Felucia, dead ahead," Anakin tells him, which makes me wake up from a nap I didn't even know I was taking.

"But where's the medical station?" I ask.

"I don't see anything on my scanners," Ahsoka says, checking them again. Then something beeps. "Wait, there's something."
