"Commander," a voice says.

"Hmm," I still have my eyes closed as I lay resting on a bench in the hangar. The only place that Krell doesn't want to be, and therefore the only place I can get some rest without him seeing.

"We've come up with a plan to take out the supply ship," Rex continues.

I sit up and swing my legs over the side. "Hit me."

"We have broken the code on how their ships operate and their codes. We can get behind their lines and take out their supply ship from there."

I stand up and clap my hands together. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go and tell Krell." Rex and I are the ones to tell him, but I already know that Krell won't be happy that we're against his plan.

"Sir, with all due respect, might we suggest another option to help us secure the capital?" Rex asks.

"And what would that be, Captain?"

"My men have cracked the Umbaran codes. With the starfighters, we could sneak past the supply ship's defense," Rex says.

"We take it out, we cut off the arms to the capital. Which means a massive help for my master and his men," I add.

"And who do you propose would fly these starfighters? Are your troops now pilots?"

"My men may not be pilots, sir, but they are able to learn and adapt quickly. A few of them have already demonstrated that," Rex insists.

"I'm afraid I can't afford to waste any clones on frivolous adventures. We're going to need everyone to take the capital."

"Master Krell, this isn't a frivolous adventure. It could be a massive help for all of us," I point out.

But before he can answer, one of the other clones in the tower yells out. "Sir, incoming. Sector delta. Long-range missiles!"

Out of the window from the tower, we can see the three missiles hit the ground close to us. I look at Rex with a worrying look, only to find him doing the same. Rex leaves after that, but Master Krell apparently needs to talk to me. He is still standing with his back to me and looking out of the window.

"Padawan Caran, you do understand that I'm a Jedi Master and you are only a padawan, right?"

"Yes, Master."

He turns around. "So why is it that you are going against my every order?"

I swallow a lump of fear. "Master, as much as my loyalty is to you, it is also to the clones. We have lost so many on this mission already. I can't help but go against an order if I believe that the order could put more clones at risk."

"So you are openly admitting to disobeying me," he now is standing right in front of me.

"Yes," I say and am immediately hit with a slap to my face. I almost fall to the ground by the force and in shock, and keep looking at the ground while holding my cheek. I feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I won't let them fall. "My master will-"

Master Krell cuts me off. "Will not hear a word of it. Dismissed."

I quickly go into the elevator and press the button to go to the ground floor. First then I let the tears fall. There's a reflection of my face in the glass, and I see a red mark on my left cheek. I unbraid my braid and let my hair fall over my face to cover it. When the doors open I go directly to the clone barracks.

"You have an extra bunk?" I ask them as I walk in.

"Yes of course, you can choose whatever one you want," Fives gestures with his arm. I climb onto one of the top bunks, that way my cheek will not be as obvious. I hear the clones discuss something, but I'm trying my best to fall asleep and get this day over with. If I'm going on a suicide mission, again, I might at least have some good sleep before.
