(Jin Jang's Plan: Episode 3)

(Daniel's POV)

I had Zack drop off Sookie with Jeong at her house while I went straight to Mr. Han's chicken shop. There were a lot of things going through my head right now but I have to admit that my emotions were controlling me more than my rationality. Seeing that woman in front of the Hotel. Escorted no less by one of the Bird Garden workers through a bunch of restless theories in my head.

We'd been so preoccupied in trying to find out what Ila had to do with the Bird Garden when maybe we should've been looking at her family instead. I knew that the meeting we had with him was weird. Especially what he told me towards the end about Seoul being a smaller place in the past and its secrets are starting to unravel.

He knows about the Four Major Crews but I was so blinded by the fact that they were family that I didn't bother thinking that maybe this could've been his fault. I just...I didn't want to believe it. What other reason would he need to be connected with someone in cahoots with the Bird Garden?

There could be the possibility of Cherry being a normal guest but normal guests don't get escorted out the building by an underground member of a shady organization. By simple logic, that woman knew what was going in that Hotel and was taking part of it.

Now what remained was finding out where these events were taking place and her role in it.

Jay walked closely behind me. You could tell that he was just as tense as I was. He saw that woman too. He didn't know who she was but judging from my extreme reaction he knew that she was important to all of this.

Damn it! Why do confusing things keep popping up in our lives! Can't we just get straight answers for once?

Jay put a hand on my shoulder and I turned back to him. He nodded at me then gestured towards the metal pole I was holding onto on the bus. The cheap metal was starting to bend at my frustration. I took a deep breath to calm myself down then mumbled out an apology.

He sent me a text message a few seconds later.

'It's okay. At least Sookie and her friend won't be taking part in this anymore.'

That was true. When Mira told us Sookie and Jeong received some weird message on one of the missing persons' flyers, I panicked a bit. I didn't want any more innocent people getting involved in any of this. Especially not them. They didn't even know how to fight and they were close friends of Ila's. It's like imagining Mira, Zoe, or Crystal getting involved again in this mess. They were still traumatized from that day on the train.

Sookie was a lot more stable than I thought she was. When she was Ila she was a bit loud, judgmental and easy to anger. Though it seems that she has a lot of self-preservation when it comes to doing stupid things. The only reason she was there today on some strangers whim was because of Jeong.

I'm happy that she seems to be in a good place despite the departure of a close friend. You could tell she's going through a couple things but I know she'll be alright. She's going through it in her own way and I can see that she's determined to move forward.

Not to mention she was ready to beat Jeong for calling random people and meeting up with them. Had we not been there the poor guy would be in the hospital right now. She was feisty. Really feisty. Kind of like Mary.

I'm not sure who is raising these women but...good for them?

We got off at our respective stop. People flooded off the bus behind us but before I could start making my way towards the chicken shop Jay took my arm. He stopped me in my tracks and gave me a hard look.
