"Baby Please." Ty begs, but I turn to him. I've been really on edge lately but I'm guessing that it's the pregnancy.
"No. We can't. Not until after the baby is born." I say, then I turn back to what I was doing in our kitchen.
I'm still trying to get used to this place, but I guess it'll come naturally, eventually.
I've been having cravings for really sweet foods lately, so right now I just finished baking cookies. "Honey you need to eat healthy if you want the baby to be healthy," Ty says, wrapping his arms around my waist.
I pull away from him, a cookie partially in my mouth. I rip it out and look at him. "This is the first cookie I've had in days. I've been eating salads for two weeks." I groan.
"Okay." He smiles, placing a small kiss against my cheek. "We need to think of names." Ty says. "Okay." I say. We both sit down on the couch, across from each other.
"You go first. We can be totally honest. If you don't like the names, say it." He says. I nod.
"Okay. How about," I think. "Sandy?" I ask. "Nah. Too Amity." Ty shakes his head. "My daughter isn't going to have an Amity name."
"Alright. It was just a suggestion." I say, defending my horrible name choice. Ty rolls his eyes playfully.
"Sofia?" He asks. "Spelt S-o-f-i-a?" I shrug my shoulders. "Maybe. Let's write that down."
I write that down, then rest my hands on my large stomach. Ty's eyes drift downward, and I look at him. "Eyes up here," I say. His face flushes, and he nods.
"Lauren?" I say. "Maybe. I'll write that down." Ty says. He taps the pen to his chin. "Sadie?" He asks.
"I like that name, but I want to see what else we can come up with." I say, "Hmm. Maybe Hannah, like, after your grandmother." I say. Finding names is hard.
I shove another cookie into my mouth, savoring its flavor since I have a feeling that Ty is going to be making me eat healthy soon.
"I like that!" He says excitedly. He writes it down in big letters. "That can be her first name, and we can use one of these or another that you like for the middle name." I shrug. He nods.
"Hannah Sofia?" He asks. I think of all of the other names. I nod.
"Hannah Sofia Pedrad." Ty tries it out. "Beautiful." He says.
Just then, I feel a notch of pain in my stomach. It scares me white at first, but then I realize that it's the baby kicking. "Ty!" I say. He looks up from the paper where he was writing the baby's name down over and over again.
"The baby. She's kicking!" I say excitedly, the tears flowing down my cheeks freely.
I scoot over next to him, and he looks at my stomach, his fingers tracing it. I feel a kick, guiding his hand to the spot on my stomach.
The baby kicks there again, and Ty grins widely. He kisses my stomach where the baby kicked, and then kisses my lips. "I love you, Hannah Pedrad, and I love you, Maddie Pedrad." He smirks.
"We love you, too, Ty. We love you, too." I say, and kiss him.
a/n: Short but I published a 3000 worder last night, so I figured this would even it out. I tried to think of something different, and I think it's different. I don't think many people have done this before.
I'm going to wrap this up! Congratulations to those who will now be able to be married under the new law! You guys have been fighting for a long time and you finally got it!
