The tattoo parlor seems like a dark place, dead, with no life when Maddie isn't around. She's my whole world, my light, and everything else seems dark.

"I'm going home, Tori. I've gotta run some errands on the way back." I shout to Tori, who merely agrees, telling me that she'll close up shop tonight. Hannah squeals at me as we walk out, into the loud music filled pit.

I actually think she's gotten used to the music. It doesn't even phase her anymore.

I'm going to set up another date for Maddie and I. Maddie is at a leader meeting today, and she left me with Hannah. That's why I'm wearing the baby strap again. Tris was right- it is a life saver.

I caress Hannah's tiny head as I walk down the paths of the wall of the pit, knowing that I'm going to need roses, candles, and of course, Dauntless Cake from the compound bakery.

Maddie is going to Olivia's house when she returns to get ready for our date, and I'll take Hannah over to her house, as well.

It's been two weeks, meaning that Jordan's plan is probably being shot down by now. Uriah said that he'd take care of it when he first got into the leadership office.

"Yo T-man, wuzzup?" Fred, an old friend of mine slurs as he walks out of the tavern. "Why you got this?" He touches Hannah's head roughly. Hannah stares at him blankly, meaning that she's about to throw a tantrum.

Oh shit.

"Don't touch my daughter." I growl. Fred's sickly pale skin makes him look like a ghost. He was so nice back when we were kids, but I don't know what happened to him after the choosing ceremony.

"Oh shit, You's already soft." He pushes his pants down to sag even farther down than they do already.

"Ding! Oh that must be the elevator, and you should get on it, because you're not on my level." I shout, then flip them off as I jog down the hill of the path, carefully holding Hannah so that she doesn't slip out of the strap.

"Okie dokie Hannah." I say, bouncing her up and down. "Where was I?" I tap my chin, and then head in the direction of the flower shop.

I make it back home and check the bags. I have everything I could possibly need for tonight. I'm making lasagna for us. Then I think about something for a minute.

I walk to the living room, and search for my phone. Hannah lays comfortably in her pack and play, where I see more of Maddie in her than anything else.

I pick it up off of the couch, and dial Olivia's number. She picks it up on the third ring. "Hey-lo?" She asks.

"Hey, Olivia, it's Ty." I start. "Can you come over to my house for a minute? I have something. To ask you."

"Sure. I'll be over in a few minutes." She says. "Bye."

"Buh-bye." I hang up the phone and walk upstairs to our bedroom, and look in the dresser. I pull out the black lingerie that Olivia got Maddie before we got married.
