My vision is blurry as I open my eyes. "She's coming to." A voice shouts. I automatically jump due to the fact that several wires are hooked up to my abdomen and head.

A heart monitor beside me beeps rapidly as I look around the room. Where's Ty? Did he leave me? Maybe he doesn't love me like I thought he did. Thoughts cloud my head and I feel faint again.

"Calm down. Deep breaths." A man with circular blue glasses instructs. I nod, trying to calm down. The heart monitor beeps slower as I breathe.

I hear a door creak, and I pull the covers up to my nose. Ty steps in, a doughnut in hand. "Hey, you're awake." He smiles.

Ty has the ability to come in, even in a bad situation, and light up the room. He can smile with his eyes, a habit anyone would melt over.

That's why I love him so much.

He sits in the chair beside me. "Where are we?" I question, looking at the white walls, ceiling, and floor that surround me. It looks like the room that I was kept captive in when I was kidnapped, but I guess it's not.

"Erudite Hospital. Adam and I took you to the Dauntless Infirmary, but they said that your injuries were too severe, so we had to bring you here." He continues to devour his circular breakfast.

Doctors stand in a circle in the corner of the room, just below the television.

One steps out, holding her clipboard to her chest. Her hair is long, blonde-orange, and is tucked behind her ears. She wears round, brown glasses.

"We have some news. The impact that the paintball had when it hit your stomach, caused some issues. It ruptured the lining of the uterus." She stops to take a breath.

"The result was unexpected. It's too early in the pregnancy to have an emergency C-Section, and we couldn't..." her voice drifts off as she looks down. "We couldn't save the baby. You had a miscarriage." I bite my lip, looking down.

I see teardrops as they hit the blanket that covers my body. Ty looks up at me, his face red and splotchy.

"We'll leave you two alone." The doctor says, and they all walk out of the room. As soon as the door shuts, I break down.

I'm actually more mad than I am sad. Alyssa is the reason for this. She's the reason that the thing that I loved most in this whole world, a piece of me and Ty, is gone.

I never even had the chance to meet this person. I didn't even know if it was a boy or girl.

Ty sits beside me, his arm slung over my shoulder. Tears slips out of his eyes as he silently cries. "T-T-Ty." I look at him, stuttering because I can't catch my breath from crying.

He looks at me, his eyes splotchy red and his cheeks tear-streaked. "Go back t-t-to Dauntless and t-tell my M-Mom to k-kick Alyssa out of Dauntless. Just like she did K-Krystale." My fists are now clenched and shaking with anger.

He leans over to me, getting out of chair, and presses a kiss to my lips. "I'll love you no matter what happens," He laces his fingers with mine. "Always." He lets go and walks out.

I reach behind me and press the green Nurse button on my bed. It bleeps and I wait for the nurse to come. She comes in, a clipboard in hand. "What can I help you with?" She asks cheerily.

"When can I leave?" I ask. She flips through colored papers on the clipboard, and clicks her pen. "It says you can be released now." She shrugs, and calls for s doctor.
