I race through the Chasm corridor, my legs aching and my lungs burning. Wait until I tell Four, my mind tells me, I can't wait to see what happens to Maddie and Ty! I laugh just thinking about his reaction.

I look back behind me and see Maddie's apartment disappearing into the darkness, but it's as if I can still hear the moans coming from inside. I shudder at the image of Maddie and Ty having sex. It's just weird to see my brother dating my best friend, banging her when we all know that Four is going to throw him into the chasm for doing it.

I race over the Chasm bridge, hearing my feet slam against the rusted metal as I do so. I push past people, not being able to contain my excitement until I get to the control room. I travel down the metal spiral staircases until I eventually end up stumbling upon the door. I press the button on the door, and hear a voice. It's my father.

"Yes?" He asks.

"It's Ashton, Dad. I need to talk to Four." I say, and my father opens the door. I step inside, shutting it behind me, and then run down the tunnels that lead to the room full of computers. I eventually stumble upon it, and I slam the door open.

"May I speak to Four, please, Gus?" I look over at the guy who runs the control room, Gus. He raises an eyebrow at me and gives me a side eye look, but then shrugs.

"Sure." He says, then turns around to where the computers are. I see Four sitting at one with his headphones on. "FOUR!" Gus yells. Four stands up, yanking his headphones off in his haste. "Someone's here to see you." He says, nodding over to me.

I smile and wave at Four, who comes walking over to me very quickly. He ushers me out into the hallway, then shuts the control room door behind us. "What is it?" He asks me, rubbing a hand on his chin.

"Okay, I'm gonna say this slowly. I was walking past Maddie's apartment on my way to my brother's, but I stopped because I heard noises." I say, stopping to take a breath. Four's eyes widen. I continue though. "I listened, and your daughter is currently having rough sex with my brother right now."

Four's face is so red, I can't describe it. He clenches his fists at his side. "I knew it. I knew that they weren't a good match. I've gotta g—" he begins to race down the hall, but I stop him.

"Four, it's not because they're not a good match. They wouldn't have had sex with each other if they didn't want to. I know Maddie, and I know that she wouldn't give something so precious up to someone that she didn't love. Just let it happen." I say to him. His shoulders slump, as if he's letting all of the tension out.

"I know that you think that Ty's not really a great guy, but he's not a punk. He's not like me. We're complete opposites. I mean, he's the caring one and the sweet one. I'm the ass, the jerk, the punk. Ty keeps to himself. He hardly talks to anyone and trust me, he doesn't say anything or do anything if he hasn't thought it through." Four nods as I speak, and I continue.

"Now, he probably knew that you were going to be really mad at him if he did this, but he loves Maddie, and he wants to show it to her. He wants to prove to her that he loves her in a different way, and remember, Maddie wouldn't let it happen if she didn't want it to happen." I say, waving it off, then raising my eyebrows.

He nods, stepping so that he's almost hovering over me. "I admire that you're trying to stand up for your brother, but my daughter has only been dating him for like, what, eleven months? A year?" He looks down and I smirk. Looks like he's finally coming to terms with everything. "Oh, holy fucking shit, Maddie and Ty are having sex!" He raises his eyebrow. I shrug.
