Chapter 104: Meet Erudite

I kiss Ty's cheek when I wake up. I run a hand through my hair, and then feel Ty's face near my neck. He presses his plump lips to my skin, making my eyes roll back into my head.

I sigh once I feel my breathing hitch, and then turn to kiss him on the lips. He smiles at me. "Good morning," he whispers.

"Good morning, Ty." I say to him, and he beams at me. "I wonder what time it is." I say once I look up at the window, which sun streams in through.

"I don't know," he says, then reaches over to the nightstand from behind me, opening up the drawer and pulling out his watch. "It is," he glances down at the glass. "Eight thirty four." He raises his eyebrows.

"What time do you have to be at work?" He questions. I shrug.

"I think there's a meeting at...like ten in Erudite." I say through a yawn. He nods, and I can see his eyebrows furrowing.

I know, Ty. I don't want to go to Erudite either, I think to myself.

"I have a shift that starts in about an hour." He says. I nod, then lay my head on his shoulder.

"You know, Uriah's going to ask you, Abby and Ariana if one of you wants to be the Ambassador," I look up at him. "The funny thing is, he was saving that position for Jordan." Ty chuckles nervously.

We just sit like that for awhile. Silence, and then random talk followed by kisses and holding the other close. I close my eyes, then stretch. "Guess it's time to actually get up and face this day." I whisper.

"Yeah. I'll be glad when this whole day is over." Ty mutters, and I grin.

"I will too, Ty. Then I can be by your side once again." I say, and he smirks as I stand up. I pull my shorts down, and then Ty stands up as well.

"Let's do this." He says confidently as he opens the door. I step out, and he follows, then shuts the door. Dylan is still asleep, thankfully. We walk down the hallway and enter the living room, Ty's hands on my waist from behind.

I look over to my left and see Shauna sitting with Hannah on the couch, feeding her something, probably peaches. Hannah is just about to take another bite, but then her eyes catch ours.

"DA!" She screeches. "MAMA DA!" She claps her hands as Shauna sets the bowl down on the table, and wipes Hannah's face off. Hannah scoots herself off of the couch and runs toward us. I can hear Ty laugh from behind me, and I smile. Hannah grabs my leg and hugs it. I reach down and pick her up, placing her on my hip.

"Hey, Hannah Bear!" Ty says as he kisses Hannah's forehead. She beams at him, then buries her head into my shoulder. We walk out into the living room, and I place Hannah down on the couch next to Shauna.

I glance over at the clock and see that it's eight forty five. Ty stands behind me as I look down at Hannah, and Shauna smiles at us. "You guys have work today?" She asks. I nod, as does Ty.

"Well," she starts. "I'm gonna go hang out with Christina today since Ashton's baby will be over there." She shrugs. I nod.

"I'm gonna be heading that way in a few minutes. Is Dylan still asleep?" She asks.

"Yeah." Ty nods. Ty then places his hands on my hips from his spot behind me and smiles. He allows his hands to wrap around my stomach, and I smile, placing my hands over his. Shauna smirks.
