I Need You- M83
Ty's Point of View

"You're quite handsome, my dear Tyler." Maddie smiles against my shoulder. I nuzzle my head in her shoulder as well, ignoring the burning eyes of Four staring at me, at us.

"Thank you. You're very beautiful yourself, my dear Madison." I whisper to her.

We sit in the infirmary waiting for a report on Alex's condition. He's okay, recovering quickly as a matter of fact.

Maddie pulls away and leans her head on my shoulder. I wrap my arm around her shoulders and rub circles on her back.

"So, how's your job been?" Four turns around and gives me a look. I can't really describe the look, actually. It's so bleak.

"Well," I nod. "It's been okay, I mean it's the same stu-" I can't even finish my sentence before Four responds quite brutally.

"Well that's absolutely amazing." Four says sarcastically. Maddie looks at him, setting her jaw. Four merely rolls his eyes and turns back to Tris, who gives him a warning look.

I hear the slamming of a door, and a doctor steps out of Alex's room. I look up, my full attention on him, the doctor.

He clicks his pen and scribbles something down, probably his signature. "I'm very impressed with Alexander's fast recovery. He should be back to normal in a couple of weeks, and with medication, his mood will improve."

Maddie smiles. "He actually recovered three times the rate of others, so that's very impressing." He reads from a chart.

"He should be released in a minute. Thank you." The doctor walks away having said what he wishes to say, his lab coat blowing behind him briskly as he increases his pace.

Maddie turns to me and slams her lips to mine, wrapping her arms around my neck. She pulls away and leans our foreheads together. "He's going to be okay, Ty." She smiles. I take a breath, about to reply, when I hear a familiar voice.

"Ew, ya'll are gross." The voice says. I look up, and see Ashton. Maddie looks up as well, keeping her whole body in the position it was in before, her eyes the only thing moving.

"Ashton please." I say. Then a thought plants itself in my mind, and Maddie is quick to speak before me. "Why are you even here, anyway?" She asks, still, her body rigid.

He leans over, shifting his weight onto one foot. "Came because Alex is in the hospital." He rolls his eyes, sighing. "But the real question is, why are you here?"

I roll my eyes. "Get out, Ashton. Seriously-" I start but Maddie cuts in.

"Yes, Ashton. Please leave. Alex is about to go home." She mumbles and I finish for her. "Go have a date with Abby." I smirk at him and he blushes. "I'm finally tying the knot with her!" He shouts.

I gape at him, as does everyone else. A chorus of Congrats and Good Lucks ring throughout the room.

He outstretches an arm to me, and pulls me to my feet. "I need to talk to you." He says, dragging me along with him to the end of the hall.

"I need advice." He whispers, rubbing his hands on his pants, sighing.

"On what?" I ask him, sitting down in another chair. He taps his chin in thought and looks down at me.
