Chapter 85: Accidental Encounters.

I need to tell Ty, so I'm heading to the tattoo parlor, which isn't very far. I walk down the uneven paths, finding good footing as I pass over the rough patches.

The pavement, or rocks, resemble my life. There are smooth places where you can walk without having the small pinching fear of falling down, but then there are the rough patches. The ones you have to be careful while getting through. The ones that require great attention.

Just like my life.

I am separated from my thoughts, though, when I hear an eerily familiar voice. "Hey, Maddie." It says from behind me, It being Jordan.

I turn as he walks up to be even with me. "If you're here to do something to me, why don't you just go on along, please? I'm really not in the mood to deal with you." I narrow my eyes at him, but he only smiles. As if I don't know what he's been up to.

He smiles at me. He's a perfect mirror of Uriah- their builds and faces extremely similar.

"Oh no, Maddie. I'm just here to say hi. I've been a real jerk lately, an-" he is mid sentence when I stop him from talking, and turn to look him in the eye.

I step toward him one step at a time, cornering him against a wall. "Listen here, Jordan. I know what you're up to. I read your letter that you sent to Ty." I point my finger at him, his nose.

"I'm really not in the mood to deal with your shenanigans. So if you're here to do something bad to me, move on along. Keep my name, my husband's name, and our daughter's name out of your dirty mouth, and go. You've done too much to me- I can't forgive you, Jordan. I can't." I conclude, and he places a hand on my shoulder. I shrug it off.

"Don't try anything smooth, Jordan. I'm done with you. Done. Goodbye." I turn back one time to look at him before walking away, walking to Ty, To tell him the news.

I eventually round a corner and see the tattoo parlor sign, which always makes me smile. I step inside, and see Ty hanging the new designs up for Tori, who polishes the glass so that its streak free.

"Hey Tori." I greet her, and she nods at me. I turn to Ty, and his expression voices concern.

"I need to talk to you Ty." I look at him, licking my lips briefly, and Tori tells us that we can go to the break room if we'd like, which we do. We step inside, and Ty shuts the door behind himself.

"What is it, Maddie? Are you okay?" He asks me, running his hands down my arms.

I nod. "I'm fine. But the question you should be asking is, are we okay? Because... When I went to the doctor, I was tested." I say. It kind of sounds like I'm saying something about him, which isn't how I planned it, but he'll get the message eventually.

"We're having another baby, Ty. I'm pregnant." The tears that reach the brim of my eyes spill over when he kisses me.

"Maddie this... This is great." He wraps his arms around me, and I let a large sigh escape the captivity of my mouth, my throat. Ty pulls away, a small frown painted on his face. "What's wrong?" He asks me genuinely.

"What about Jordan, Ty?" I ask him, then watch as he seems to grow more firm, his posture now straight as he looks down at me, alarmed.
