Snakehips- All My Friends
Two Months Later

I wake up to sunlight streaming in through our bedroom window. Ty lays beside me, of course, his arm slung over my body. I indulge this moment, I relish it. It seems like Ty and I have been without these moments for years but it's actually only been a few months.

Minutes later, Ty turns over to face me, cracking his eyes open a small bit. "Morning, babe." He presses a quick kiss to my temple, then snuggles close to me. "How'd you sleep?" He inquires, his head nuzzled into my shoulder.

I know what he's referring to when he asks that. I've been having nightmares for the past couple of weeks, reoccurring, of Jordan coming back to kill Ty and I, or Ty trying to kill me while he's under a simulation.

"Fine," I say, "I didn't have one last night." I roll over so that I am face to face with Ty. I see the hints of a small smile tug at the corners of his lips, and I can't help but to grin.

His face, contoured by the gradient shimmer of the morning sunlight, is probably the best thing to wake up to in the morning. "That's good." He whispers, a crack in his voice. I giggle, then press my lips to his. He snakes his arm around my body, pulling me closer.

I sigh as his hand slides down and pulls my leg to rest over his. I slide my arms to rest around his neck, and soon, we both have to pull away for a breath. I lay my head on his, and he smiles.

"There's no better way to wake up," I whisper seductively into his neck, "than like this." I say, and allow my lips to make contact with his neck.

"There really isn't," he says softly, smirking, as he lets his hands slip down to my lower back, soon slipping down even further to rest on my butt.

Jordan hasn't been up to his tricks lately, which kind of surprises me, relieves me, and also puts me on edge, all at the same time. He's probably going to pull something soon.

Zeke snuck out and went to Erudite to get some intel on Jordan, but, as it turns out, he's already gone. He's been released, and is now hiding somewhere, probably planning out his next attack.

Ty, Hannah, Dylan, and I have been safe, and all has been well around this part of the faction.

Water is starting to get pumped back into the marsh, and was voted in by a large majority of the leadership department, including all of the representatives from Erudite, Candor, and also Uriah and I.

I press my lips to Ty's once more, then nuzzle my head into his shoulder, but just as I get comfortable, I hear a whimpering from the hallway.

Dylan.

I sigh, then stand up. Ty turns to look out the window, stretching. I walk on the cold floors to Dylan's room, and open up the door. Inside he sits in his crib, writhing around and screeching.

He normally just whimpers, but I guess this time he's going to cry. "Glrb!!" He pounds his fists against the air, his face scrunched up and turning red as the salty tears run down his cheeks.

I swiftly pull my shirt off, laying it down on the back of the rocking chair in the corner. I wasn't wearing a bra, so I lean down, picking up Dylan, and cradle him as I walk over to the rocking chair.
