I scribble notes down on a piece of paper in my office, before hearing the door click, opening. I briefly glance up and see Uriah. He beams at me, sitting down in one of the chairs in front of my desk.

I feel Dylan kicking in my stomach and I nearly groan. Hannah never really kicked this much. Dylan is a kicker. I bite my lip as I feel him kick once again.

Then again, I'm due next week. I just had to come to work to do a little bit of filing for Uriah before I go off for my maternity leave.

Uriah leans forward and picks up a picture frame off of my desk. It's a picture of Ty and I at the chasm with Hannah sitting in between us. It's one of my favorite pictures, seeing how happy we were.

I mean, we're still happy, but we both have a lot of things on our minds, including Jordan and the baby.

"It's a beautiful picture, Maddie." Uriah smiles at the frame. I crack a small smile as well. "Thanks, Uri." I say. He smiles.

"I heard about Jordan." He says after he clears his throat. I shift uncomfortably in my chair. Jordan, the name that brings a sour taste to my mouth. I purse my lips.

"Oh," I say shyly. He shakes his head. "I just don't know why Ty would stab him? What called for that?" Uriah exclaims as if he's trying to tell himself that Jordan isn't a horrible person. As if he's still his little angel of a son.

Well, he's not.

"If Ty hadn't have pulled me down right when he did, I'd be dead right now. You'd have someone else for an assistant, because I would be dead, and I'm sure Ty would be dead or somehow injured. But the worst of all, our baby would be dead." I say, my voice lowering to a whisper.

He gapes at me. "He almost shot me. He was going to stab me, but Ty grabbed the knife before Jordan could. And when Jordan tried to kick me in the stomach, Ty stabbed him." I say simply.

"Jordan has taken me to hell and back, and I'm afraid that he's coming for me again." I say, shuffling the sheets of paper in my hands so that they're all even before I staple them.

"Maddie, he's just-" Uriah starts, but I cut him off. "Don't vouch for him, Uri. He's a menace. He's insane. He wants Ty and Hannah and Dylan dead so that he can have me like he used to. He's said it to me." I say, horrified.

"Dylan?" Uriah asks, his face contorted into a concentrated look. "It's the name of the second baby." I say. He nods. "Dylan...?" He speaks once again.

"Dylan Lee Pedrad." I smile. He does as well.

"It's a very dauntless name, and I'm very sorry about Jordan." He purses his lips. I shake my head. "Don't be sorry for him. He made his choices, not you." I say, and he nods.

I sit on the couch later that day, and feel shooting pains in my stomach. I bite my lip. This has been happening for the past few hours. Ty is at work. Most of the time, he massages my back for me when I have the shooting pains because they hurt a lot.

I'm all alone. Hannah is at my parents' house since I went to work this morning as well. I let out a frustrated groan as I clutch my stomach, which still has shooting pains and now cramps.
