Amy's POV
I finally have a day off from work so I decide to call up Tyler. I don't quite understand things with him yet.
I've accepted that he's my friend, my very attractive friend, who I talk to on a daily basis. We've gotten closer these past few days while texting, and I've accepted that too. I just haven't fully comprehended the whole kissing thing.
I dial up his number, and I start to feel anxious as it rings.
"Hello?," he says.
"Hey Tyler," I say.
"Oh hey Amy. It's nice to hear your voice."
"You're acting like you haven't heard my voice in a while."
"It feels like forever," he says.
"We talked on the phone yesterday," I point out.
"Ya and that was forever ago," Tyler says with a chuckle.
I roll my eyes. "Ya whatever you say."
"So is there any particular reason that you called?," he asks.
"Ya I said that I would tell you when I'm free, and I'm free today," I tell him. "That is if you're not too busy."
"I'm never too busy for you," he says.
I blush. "So do you want to do something today then?"
"Ya I'd like that," he says. "How about dinner at my place tonight?"
"Sure. Are you cooking?," I ask.
"I'll try. If I fail, we can always order a pizza."
"What time should I be there?"
"Come for like 7:00," he says.
"Ok. I'm gunna need to know your address then," I say.
Tyler tells me his address and I write it down on a sticky note.
"Ok I'll see you at seven," I say.
"Looking forward to it," he says. "Oh and tell Dylan I say hi."
"Ok I will."
"Ok bye Amy."
"Bye Tyler," I say and hang up the phone.
It's only around 11:00 right now, so there's a lot of time until I have to get ready. There's a knock on my door, and I tell Dylan to come in.
"Amy, I'm kinda hungry. Can you make something?," he asks.
"Ya sure buddy," I say and get off my bed.
I follow Dylan downstairs to the kitchen. I start to make him a grilled cheese sandwich and soup. We sit at the table and eat.
When we're done eating, I wash the dishes. Dylan says he wants to watch a movie, so we sit on the couch and watch Spider-Man.
~~~
While watching Spider-Man 2, I look at my phone, and it's 5:30. I should start to get ready now. I get off the couch and start to go upstairs.
"Where are you going?," Dylan asks.
"I'm going to go get ready," I say. "I'm going to Tyler's place tonight for dinner."
"Oh ok," Dylan says, a little sad.
"Tyler says hi, by the way," I add.
That seems to cheer him up a bit.
"Tell him I say hi too," he says.
"Ok I will. But I'm going to go get ready now. Dad should be home around six like he always is."
