Chapter 8: Island of the Illusionist

It has now been half an hour since they left the port, and the ship was now in submarine mode. Callie and Marie were sitting in the lunch room, thinking about what lies ahead of them. Soon, Ash walks in and has a seat on the table the cousins are at.

"Are you girls nervous?" Asked Ash.

"A little." Answered Callie.

"Yep, I've been there before. But before you know it, you'll taste the adventure."

All of a sudden, the alarms go on. Ash knows what's to come next as a voice spoke from the microphone. "All passengers, please report to the main deck."

"Quickly, we must head to the main deck before we reach the storm."

With that, the gang hurried their way to the main deck, where everyone was prepared to do this again.

"Everyone! You know the drill! Hang on to your hats!" Yelled out Cynthia.

Everyone put on their seat belts to prepare for another ride passing the storm. Before long, the ship started shaking violently. Ash and Pikachu already knew this was coming as they had done this before, but the cousins were terrified. Callie and Marie hugged each other as tight as possible as the shaking continued to grow rougher. The alarms started to ring as instability was growing on the ship. But after a couple of minutes of fear, it all went away, and stability returned to the ship.

"Did it scare you two?" Ash asked the cousins.

"Em, yeah......" Callie said as she and Marie were still hugging each other.

But soon, a problem arose. There was still some instability in one of the engines. Which means that if they keep going on like this, it may cause further damage unless something is done.

"Dang it! We need to make an emergency stop to do some temporary repairs. Steven, check the radar for any land." Asked Cynthia.

Steven checks the radar, and this is what he found. "The radar shows were near a small island, but we don't know if there's any inhabitants. It also appears to be heavily foggy"

"Well, we don't have a choice. We either make a pit stop at that island or get stuck at sea." With that, Cynthia guides the ship to the mysterious island.

Steven switches the ship from submarine mode to boat mode and prepares to dock at that island. Soon, everything came to a halt. They have docked on the mysterious island.

On the storage deck, Team Rocket gets out of the cargo car they were hiding in. They snuck back in while everyone was sleeping the woods. Once again, they were feeling sick from another heavy ride passing the storm.

"I wish I had brought an ice pack. My head hurts." Said James.

"My stomach feels all flat." Said Jessie.

"Look, I know you all feel under the weather, but have to stay focused. We need to head back to base to inform the boss of everything we discovered." Said Meowth.

Jessie and James nodded.
