Chapter 59: Grusha the Mountain Ice King

(Montenevera, Paldea Region)

After the Squid Sisters passed their implementation test, our heroes must make their way to the top of Glaseado Mountain for Ash's implementation test against gym leader Grusha. The gang had passed the archway in Montenevera, ready to follow the short but cold trail to the Glaseado Gym.

"Alright, it's time to head to the Glaseado Gym!" Ash shouted.

Suddenly, Nemona, Roy, and even Ryme approach the gang.

"Wait! I want to come with you to see one of your awesome battles!" Nemona shouted.

"Sure, why not?!" Callie happily replied.

Ash then turned to Roy. "What about you, Roy?"

"I'd love to, but Arven and I agreed to go explore Casseroya Lake for any treasures." Roy replied. "But after you pass your implementation test, I'll see you at Naranja Academy for the congratulation ceremony."

"Sounds like a plan!"

"Ash, I wish you good luck on your implementation test." Said Ryme. "But I must warn you, Grusha is no joke, and he's been a bit harsh lately."

"I'm sure I got this under control." Said Ash. "Well, it's time to head to the Glaseado Gym so I can take my implementation test and pass it!"

With that, the gang says goodbye to Roy and Ryme, then starts walking the trail to the Glaseado Gym.

(Mesagoza, Paldea Region)

Deep within the storage bay of the S.S. Harland, the Octoling Elite Sisters, peeked out from the cargo box they hid in.

"When are we going back to Inkadia?" Hassel whined as she played around with some of their supplies and Ink Weapons in boredom.

"And I'm hungry." Said Sarah.

"You all know they can't know where even here, or there goes our way home." Rachel replied to the whines of her sisters. "Fine, you two stay here while I go look for food or something around."

Leaving the cargo box, Rachel quietly exits the storage bay before sneakily walking a staircase. Upon arriving on this floor, she immediately spots a room that's labeled the lunch room. She carefully opens the door while making sure there's no one else in there and sees she's in a little room with some vending machines and a few snacks and food on the side. Her eyes lock onto a box of donuts, a bag of cookies, and three cans of soda in the fridge.

"Great, I just have to take this back downstairs, and we should be -" After packing the snacks in her bag, the doorknob started rattling, so Rachel quickly goes in her Octopus Form and hides behind the trashcan.

The door opens with Friede and Champion Geeta entering the room.

"Thank you for showing me around, Professor Friede." Geeta said as she took a seat at a table.

"I told you, just call me Friede." Friede happily said as Cap sat on his shoulder. "So what's this about?"

(Glaseado Mountain, Paldea Region)

Reaching the end of the snowy trail, the gang had arrived at the top of Glaseado Mountain.

"Gosh, it's so cold up here..." Marie said as the cold temperatures made her shiver even with the winter clothes she was wearing.

Everyone looks around and sees that there wasn't much up here besides the gym and a log cabin. Although, there's also a ranch and a track where people can go bobsledding on a Cetoddle. They already saw some children having fun sledding with their parents and some Cetoddle having fun themselves.
