Chapter 36: Katy's Test for Hunger

(Naranja Academy, Mesagoza)

In Director Clavell's office, both the Explorers and Team Rocket were sitting on opposite ends of Clavell's desk, all dressed up in their disguises. Soon, he and champion Geeta entered the office.

"Greetings, students, and I hope we didn't take too long." Geeta said as she held a tray with three Tera Orbs. "Your Tera Orbs are right here."

"Thank you, Champion!" Jessie and James shouted as they each took a Tera Orb.

"At long last, I finally got my hands on a Tera Orb." Said Coral.

"We managed to reserve your Tera Orbs despite your late arrival. You're lucky you all registered for the course in advance. Because we ran low on Tera Orbs for those who registered afterward." Said Clavell. "Now, you're all aware of what you must do in the course?"

"Yes, Director." Amethio said as he held the Tera Orb Hamber had gifted him. "We must pass our basic test, then our implementation test."

(The Next Day in Cortondo)

After receiving their Tera Orbs, our heroes were each assigned a gym leader to battle in a basics test. They have arrived in Cortondo for Callie's basic test with Gym Leader Katy.

"Here we are, Cortondo!" Ash shouted as he and the cousins got off Koraidon. Then, he returns it to its Pokeball. "Thanks, Koraidon!"

As Callie gets off, she already feels her stomach growling. "I'm hungry."

"Well, there's a bakery nearby. So, does some desert sound good?"

"Ooh, yes! I want desert!"

With that, everyone heads to the bakery to get some desert. Ash buys some cake slices, and then everyone begins feasting. Even the Pokemon seem to be enjoying the desert Ash had picked up.

"So, you girls know all the moves Hattrem and Steenee know?" Asked Ash.

"Yeah, but I still feel nervous about this. I'm used to using your Pokemon, but Pokemon from the academy...." Said Callie. She then pulls out her Rotom Phone for info on Steenee.

*Steenee, the Fruit Pokemon, a grass type. The sepals on Steenee develop to defend itself. The sepals hurt a lot when someone is hit by them.*

She then turns to Hattrem.

*Hattrem, the Serene Pokemon, a psychic type. When it comes across anyone exuding strong emotions, it will use its braids to beat them up with the strength of a pro boxer.*

"See, you know the Pokemon, you know their moves, you got it all under the bag. If you can command my Pokemon well, I'm sure you'll do well with the Pokemon the academy lended you." Ash said as he turned to see the academy's Pokemon happily eating, getting along well with his own Pokemon.

Suddenly, everyone hears shouting coming from the front stand where Ash bought the cake slices. Everyone decides to check it out, then is in shock to see Coral yelling at the cashier.

"What do you mean you're out of your special edition cake! Just make more!" Shouted Coral.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but we've run out on some of the ingredients for it." Said the cashier.

"Unacceptable!"

Watching the scene in front of him, Ash felt he needed to interfere. "Hey, stop it! You're freaking out the employees!"

"Who said that?!" Coral turns to see her arch enemies confronting her. "Oh, it's you....."

"Coral......line. What are you doing here?"
