Chapter 53: Alolan Paradise, or Alolan Torment

(Los Platos, Paldea Region)

In a cave near the gates of Mesagoza, Team Rocket took camp to settle themselves in Paldea since they're probably going to be here for a while.

"Hey, James, mind handing me a berry from our stash?" Asked Meowth.

"Fine, don't see why you can't get your paws to do it yourself." James said as he went to grab an Oran Berry from their stash of berries. But as he reached for one, a little green Pokemon popped out and took the berry. "Say, what Pokemon are you?"

"Hey, let me check it out." Meowth said as he pulled out their black colored Rotom Phone.

*Capsakid, the Spicy Pepper Pokemon, a grass type, a lot of people consider this Pokemon to be very spicy.*

"This Rotom Phone still acts like it barely knows everything. Why haven't we upgraded to those newer models?"

"Meowth, you know very well the Rotom within is the issue." James replied. "By the way, what did it mean by spicy?"

Suddenly, Capsakid bit James' hand, it didn't hurt, but things got really heat up for him.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" James shouted as he suddenly felt his whole body burning. "SO THAT'S WHAT IT MEANT BY SPICY!!!!!!"

Soon, Jessie and Wobbuffet walked, leaving Jessie confused and irritated by the site in front of her. "What is going on here?!"

"Hey! Quit talking and give me a hand here!" Meowth demanded.

Both Jessie and Meowth were running in circles, trying to chase James, who was trying to shake Capsakid of him while he shouted in pain. Meanwhile, Wobbuffet was just viewing the whole scene in panic.

"Hold still, you dope!"

Suddenly, their Rotom Phone started ringing. Wobbuffet is the one to pick it up. Soon, Matori's face shows up on screen, causing everyone to stop running and shouting, and they all took position.

"I hope I'm not interrupting any business of yours." Matori said menacingly.

"Well, if it isn't the goofball with the glasses." Jessie said with an irritated look. "For the record, we're definitely up to some important business catching some of the Pokemon of Paldea. Show her James."

James lifts his hand up in pain as he shows Matori the Capsakid they found.

"How interesting." Matori said while fixing her glasses. "Anyways, I'm calling to inform you that we've been looking in to these Explorers you have reported about during your time in the Inkadia Region, and they happen to be organization that's been around for quite a while."

"Huh?" James said confusingly.

"We've gotten a report that a large number of them are meeting at Ula'ula Island, and I've been ordered by Giovanni to tell you that you are to investigate their acts, since you have the most experience in the Alola Region."

"Really?!" Everyone shouted in disbelief.

"That's right, you are to go to these coordinates immediately." Matori said as she displayed a set of coordinates on screen. "He's set up a special meeting with someone there to share some useful information, don't be late."

As soon as she hung up, Team Rocket couldn't shake their excitement.

"You hear that, the boss himself wants us to take out the Explorers!" Meowth shouted.

"And perfect timing, too. It's still a little bit before our implementation tests begin. This will definitely be good practice." Said Jessie.

"Say, what about this one right here?" James said as he lifted Capsakid, who was still bitting his hand.
