Chapter 17: A Titanic Battle

After Ash's battle with Iono, our heroes were taking the rocky shortcut back to Mesagoza in hopes Cynthia and Steven could take them back to Inkadia. The Squid Sisters were now ready for the next challenge in their careers, the Superstar Showcase.

The World Coronation Series has been put on hold for a couple of days, allowing Ash to take some time to recharge his batteries. He wonders what exactly the cousins are going to do in Inkadia. "So, girls, what's the Superstar Showcase?"

Marie looked at Ash. "It's a competition going on right now in Inkadia. All the greatest stars and performers are competing to see who is the most talented. The winners will win the title of Princess, or Princesses of Inkadia."

"Yeah!" Shouted Callie. "Everyone is working to surpass Bo and Raina! They've won four years in a row!"

Ash can tell the girls were excited about this. "Wow, you seem certain about this competition, so why didn't you guys enter earlier?"

"Well..........." Callie was now having trouble putting her words together. "I've been having some personal problems, and I was scared to be embarrassed by all the other stars. I was worried I would mess this up. But going on this journey, seeing you making new friends and competing in the World Coronation Series, and all the stuff Iono told me had made me realize that I shouldn't live in fear forever, and that I have to at least try face my fears in life."

"I hear you, I've been having some personal issues myself. That's why I entered the World Coronation Series to try new things. I see you're planning on doing the same with the Superstar Showcase."

They continued to talk to each other about personal issues but then noticed a huge, strange looking boulder in front of them.

"Wow, I have never seen a boulder like this before." Ash decided to climb on top of it for fun. "Hey, Callie! Take a picture, would you!"

"Okay!" She said happily and got out her Rotom Phone.

Ash started to do some poses that he symbolized his love for battling. But as he looked down, he saw what appeared to be a pair of eyes opening up and looking at him. "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The boulder soon started shaking, so Ash quickly jumped off. Within seconds, the boulder grew little legs, a pair of pinching claws, and eyes on top. It soon roared at full volume, looking enraged.

"What is that thing?!"

"It's so huge!" Yelled Callie, then pulled up her Rotom Phone for information.

*Klawf, the Ambush Pokemon, a rock type. This Pokemon lives on sheer cliffs, waiting to lunge prey for their weak spots with its claws.*

Then, the Pokedex shows a size comparison between a normal one and the one in front of them, which shook Callie to her skin. "Ah, guys, this thing is supposed to be way smaller than this."

The humongous Klawf was ready to unleash a wicked move, so with its bare claws, it slams them to the ground, sending everyone flying.

"Everyone! Come on out!" Ash takes out a bunch of Pokeballs and lets out every Pokemon he has. Charcadet, Quaxly, Tauros, and even Zorua were all ready to go. Pikachu hops off Ash's shoulder and joins them. "Thundebolt! Ember! Liquidation! Raging Bull! Dark Pulse!"

Soon, a mirage of attacks strikes Klawf, using its giant claws to defend against the attacks. Soon, it makes a run for it.

"Alright, great work, everyone!"

"That was so close!" Marie shouted out.

"How did a Pokemon like that get so big?!" Shouted Callie.

"That was a Titan Pokemon!" Shouted a voice behind everyone. Soon, a familiar figure stood in front of them.
